Located in the heart of historic southern Maryland, the Back Creek Inn offers a unique blend of old and modern conveniences. For over 125 years, this waterman's home has stood on the tree-lined banks of Back Creek. First a private residence, this home now celebrates its 28th year as a waterside Bed & Breakfast Retreat. The Back Creek, one of southern Maryland's scenic waterways along which the Inn is nestled, merges with the Patuxent River and the Chesapeake Bay. Sailing and motorized boating guests may dock at one of the two slips available at the Inn's dock.

This in one of our favorite get-away destinations. Carol, Leah, and Paula make us feel so welcome and at-home every time we go there. The accommodations are top of the line, and the breakfasts are always delicious and nutritious!! All the upgrades to the cottage were well thought out and added to our overall enjoyment and appreciation!! We look forward to our next visit.

This is, by far, our favorite B&B! We stayed in the Lavender Cottage and it was simply perfect. We were awarded respite funds for parents of special needs kiddos and used it for a weekend away to recharge, and the funds could not have been better spent. Carol's place is conveniently located near Solomon's Island Rd S, the main drag through the island, but also tucked away on the water. It was the perfect place to relax, walk to dinner and soak up the magnificent views from the porch. The breakfasts were out of this world; the best eggs benedict I've ever had! And her homemade jam was delicious. If you go, check out Island Hideaway for dinner - order the crab dip, coconut lemon chicken, and mahi mahi tacos. And don't snooze on the dessert menu, definitely try the key lime pie! The cottage was beautiful, clean, and well-appointed. We will absolutely be back, and I hope soon!

The inn is located in the central part of Solomons. It is off the main road through town, and sits on the water. It offers ease of access, with a quiet location. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Carol is quite the talented artist and innkeeper!! She's so friendly, down-to-earth, and hospitable. The Back Creek Inn is a wonderful place to stay! In addition, we've purchased four pieces of her skillful artwork and love the new additions in our house but also treasure our reminder of her lovely Inn. We stay in the cottage and absolutely love the privacy, coziness, and amenities. Sitting in the screened- in (but now closeable) porch is like heaven. The view is amazing and we SOOOO love to see all the precious wildlife! Thanks, Carol, for another fabulous visit!!

We just stayed one night but highly recommend this B&B. It has a beautiful view of the water and very nice gardens. The house is nicely appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was incredibly delicious. We will definitely visit again for a longer visit. The nearby Annemarie sculpture garden is a must see if you have time.
