The Night auditor needs a refresher course on empathy, who engages in a verbal debate with a child ?? When I checked in I was told that the hotel was sold out and they didn’t have a room for me !! But I have a legitimate confirmation number, I paid with points and cash. When I got to counter the agent yelled to another agent that your guest is here once I gave my last name. Was told that the only room left was a out of order. Waited for about 35-40 min while they called around to find me a room, was later told do to your elite status you will be staying here with us . I know for sure I was checked into the out of order room because the issues the agent told me was wrong was present in my room bathroom issues / vent hanging from wall / women’s hair on towels.... when reported was told sorry we don’t have any rooms. Asked that GM give me a call that never happened until I had to call irate about being charges 198.00 dollars for a stay I paid for prior to arrival. When I call the young lady explained to me very empathetically that the auditor double charged me .

A college friend and I were having a reunion with another college friend who we hadn't seen in 50 years. How time flies. We chose this hotel because of its easy access to D.C., for much better prices. When we checked in, the staff at the desk couldn't have been nicer. Our room was clean and I loved the fact that there were extra towels in the bathroom. Also loved the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner dispenser in the tub, eliminating the juggling of the small travel size ones. One thing that was a concern, and this has been an issue in other hotels, was that there is no bath mat provided. No non-slip decals either. There is a grab bar but when the floor of the tub gets soapy from the body wash/shampoo, it gets slippery. They put out complimentary cookies in the afternoon. The breakfast buffet is quite good and the coffee is excellent. Overall, a great location and a very pleasant experience.

A group of 8 of us stayed in 3 rooms for 5 nights at the end of April. We were all pleased with the cleanliness and comfort of our rooms. The hotel staff was more than friendly and answered questions with knowledge. By the end of the week, they knew us by name! Felt like family! The area had several restaurants within walking distance and taking metrobus 70 northbound for several blocks to Ellsworth Drive would reveal a city block of restaurants and entertainment. I highly recommend this hotel. Holiday Inn Express has never disappointed and this one was a delight.

The hotel was OK, but I am used to better from a Holiday Inn Express. There was a lot of little things that combined to make our experience less than optimum. The room was older and on the small side. The wall paper had a several small stains, but the bathroom was clean. The elevators were slow. We were never able to locate a luggage cart when it was time to move our luggage into our room or back out to the car, so we carried everything. Staff explained people don't return them and offered to locate one, but we didn't want to wait. The parking lot immediately adjacent to the hotel is small. We arrived 6:30 ish and took one of the last spots. The valet will park your car at a nearby location when the lot gets full. The $10 cost to park is really good for this area. When we arrived at breakfast, we noticed someone had spilled coffee all over the floor under one of the tables. Staff did not get around to cleaning it up until we were almost done eating 15-20 minutes later. The "orange juice" had way too much water in it to taste anything like orange juice. They did have delicious cinnamon rolls from Cinnabon and the location was convenient.

The hotel staff members, ALL of them, were genuinely warm-hearted and hospitable. One of the valets went out of his way to help me search for my father’s hearing aid and another ran over to help when my bags toppled over in the parking lot. The rooms were very clean and spacious. Free breakfast is offered in the mornings and there is a 7-11 next door. Shopping/restaurants are within walking distance. I walked to Target at around 8pm and felt safe in the surrounding area. Would definitely book here again.
