This hotel was a great place to stay for several days while visiting family in nearby DC. It’s location is very convenient if you’re without a car - a 10 minute walk to the Silver Spring Metro station on the Red Line, right in the heart of a busy restaurant and shopping area, across the street from Whole Foods and a CVS, less than a 5 minute walk to Starbucks and Panera Bakery on Colesville Rd. for great breakfasts. Reception was happy to call an UBER for us when we needed a lift about 1.5 miles down Georgia Avenue, since their shuttle vehicle was being repaired. (There were NO taxis available to hail on the street.) Our room with two queen beds on the 7th floor was spacious, clean and quiet, had a mini fridge and a good TV, lots of plugs for recharging devices, wonderful plumbing(!) including great water pressure, good drain in bath/shower, etc. The lobby/lounge at Reception level had a bright Bistro for light meals and snacks and an easy, comfortable atmosphere. Be aware that the hotel entrance is a bit weird until you figure it out, then it’s fine. (1) From the attached Wayne Avenue Garage on Wayne Avenue, take the elevator to the 5th floor for the short bridge/skywalk to Reception. Once you’re in the hotel itself, Reception is on the 3rd floor. (2) The official hotel entrance on Fenton St. isn’t very impressive and once inside the first set of doors at street level, you’re faced with another set that won’t open. BUT, your room key allows entrance. Without a room key, there’s an intercom on the right side to call up to Reception or simply walk left around the corner to the garage entrance. Overall, would definitely stay again.

I'm giving 5 stars not because its a fancy hotel because it isn't but overall it is a great place to stay. The location is excellent and the fact that the full size parking garage is attached is huge for me. Rooms are updated nicely and staff is friendly. Believe it or not the breakfast burrito is amazing and they have Starbucks coffee. There are shops, restaurants and a Whole Foods within walking distance. I'm a fan of this overall experience.

This hotel has convenient parking and is right in the mix of things in town. Everything was great. Even the food in the lobby was excellent and reasonably priced. I have stayed at every hotel in this area, and this one is definitely the best.Only improvement to recommend to management is in-room safes. The neighborhood can be sketchy at times and I didn’t like leaving my passport in the room.

The weekend I needed to be in D.C. was expensive for some reason and I couldn't get reasonable prices on properties in the District. I did some searching along the metro lines and came across this hotel. It is a brisk 20 minute walk from the Metro (uphill so bring light rolling luggage or take rideshare), and felt safe in the daylight. (I wouldn't do that walk after dark though). Everything about the property seemed new, bright, and shiny with pleasant desk clerks who allowed me to check in a couple of hours early -- thank you!! Beds are extremely comfortable, bathroom is spotless, and shower pressure is great. There are plenty of outlets, including those for charging electronics. Location is very good -- steps away from a city Mall and just a couple minutes walk from a Whole Foods. Only one minor thing: I found out about the complimentary shuttle when I got there but was unable to take advantage of it to go back to the train station on the weekend because service didn't start till 9 am rather than the 8:30 departure that I needed.

We just spent five nights at this hotel and we are very happy with our choice. After reading several reviews we decided to take a chance and feel that this may be our choice from now when visiting the area. Let me start by saying that everyone in the staff is beyond nice. From the front desk to the people at the bistro to the housekeeper. Everyone is always helpful and smiling . The hotel is very well located across from a Wholefoods and CVS and surrounded by many places to eat. We did not need a car ( they do have a very big and easy to access garage if you have one ) since it is only a couple of blocks from the Metro abd easy to get to. The room was a good size and comfortable with a very good matress, a desk that can be pulled out and repositioned and a large loveseat and ottoman. Being able to log into my own Netflix account on their large TV was great and the wifi was easy to connect to and fast. The bathroom had a good shower and plenty of counter space for our toiletries. The room was kept clean with lots of towels and the coffee machine and fridge were a good touch. Highly recommend and will probably be back.
