#1 of 4 hotels in St. Michaels
Nestled on 26 acres of forest and farmland along the beautiful Miles River, Inn at Perry Cabin steeps you in the essence of Maryland's Eastern Shore. The property, which began as a farm after the War of 1812, is a resort that combines casual luxury with the delights of an escape to the Eastern Shore. Adventurous guests can sail the Miles River to the breathtaking Chesapeake Bay or visit our neighbors at Philips Wharf, a non-profit oyster farm that is helping restore the estuary and serves our guests the freshest, tastiest oysters imaginable. Landlubbers can explore our gardens or hop on a bicycle and tour beautiful, historic St. Michaels. Guests who play tennis can volley on our classic, green-clay Har-Tru courts, and golfers can challenge themselves on our new 18- hole, Pete Dye designed course. By evening, Inn at Perry Cabin blossoms into the region’s social hub where guests and locals gather for intimate occasions and joyful celebrations. If you'd rather exercise your palette, we have an ever changing menu of fresh, seasonal produce, locally-raised meats and poultry and, of course, the day’s catch from the bay. All of it is simply prepared and subtly seasoned with herbs from our own gardens so that the local flavors of the Eastern Shore can shine. Inn at Perry Cabin’s ultimate gift to guests is true relaxation. From our spa to our shoreline, our staff shoulders every worry and takes care of every request.

Stayed at the resort over the Christmas holidays and brought my dog. I have stayed here several times before. This is a VERY dog friendly hotel - which is great if you brought a pet - not so much if you’re not a fan of dogs or are looking to avoid occasional barking and stepping in dog waste. For me, it was great, however the resort needs to do a much better job of providing waste clean up bags and encouragement for what appeared to be many inconsiderate dog owners that week. ROOMS: Rooms are nice - had a “Fireplace” suite on the water. Excellent location, first floor and great for my dog. Rooms are appointed well - a little warn and stained carpeting - to be expected I guess if you promote pets. One MAJOR flaw to be aware of: I specially requested (and paid for) a suite with a fireplace. “Oh yes, sir, your room has a beautiful fireplace” It was a styrofoam log with a back light - just like you’d find for sale at a Walmart for use in an apartment. That is RIDICULOUS! (I am not exaggerating here). RESTAURANT: Stars is excellent - great service and fantastic food. I highly recommend for this reason and because there is “food and bev minimum” tacked on as part of the room rate. Also, be aware of the 10% “Resort Fee” (not a flat fee per room). The more expensive your room, the more “resort fee” you pay. No, there are no incremental “resort benefits” for the incrementally higher fee one pays if staying in an a more expensive room or suite.

This is a wonderful place to go to to relax. My husband and I book a 1 bedroom suite with water view when we visit. This is our 2nd time. The rooms are cleaned, service has been wonderful (unusual with the COVID problem still around), the food at Stars is good. If you want to go to St Michaels for dinner, there are some excellent restaurants. My only suggestions are to be aware that if you are coming when there is an event, which is quite often, you will be competing for spa times, and perhaps their restaurant reservation times. Another point to know is that water view may not be the full view you expect when you book your room. Trees that landscape the area block a lot, but it’s still pleasant to sit and have a drink on the deck in warm weather. The property, amenities, and service are wonderful, just remember that it does come with a price.

We went to Perry Cabin to celebrate our elopement and honeymoon (we did not get married there). Everything from start to finish was wonderful. The property is stunning and the staff's commitment to service is amazing. The rooms are just as depicted in the photos -- again, beautiful! Everything was clean; good COVID protocols in place. Our only negative was a poor experience at the golf course, but when brought to management's attention, they took care of it. Traveler's tip -- we had a one BR water view suite -- very nice and spacious. Not sure we would spend the extra money for water view next time as the views from all over the property are fabulous. We will definitely be back!

First. I read some of the reviews. The rooms are fine. This is my fourth time. I’m very picky. No one is talking about dog friendly. The Inn at Perry cabin is very dog friendly. The food is outstanding. And I am very fussy about my food.If I had to complain. I would only comment that the quality of the food is not equal to there wine list.

World class service; extraordinary accommodations. The grounds are impeccable. The food is gourmet quality. You are treated like royalty. Beautiful pool, a fleet of boats… and fun fitness classes and spa. I just wish the staff would get vaccinated so we could take off the darn masks!
