Travelers' Choice
Nestled on 26 acres of forest and farmland along the beautiful Miles River, Inn at Perry Cabin steeps you in the essence of Maryland's Eastern Shore. The property, which began as a farm after the War of 1812, is a resort that combines casual luxury with the delights of an escape to the Eastern Shore. Adventurous guests can sail the Miles River to the breathtaking Chesapeake Bay or visit our neighbors at Philips Wharf, a non-profit oyster farm that is helping restore the estuary and serves our guests the freshest, tastiest oysters imaginable. Landlubbers can explore our gardens or hop on a bicycle and tour beautiful, historic St. Michaels. Guests who play tennis can volley on our classic, green-clay Har-Tru courts, and golfers can challenge themselves on our new 18- hole, Pete Dye designed course. By evening, Inn at Perry Cabin blossoms into the region’s social hub where guests and locals gather for intimate occasions and joyful celebrations. If you'd rather exercise your palette, we have an ever changing menu of fresh, seasonal produce, locally-raised meats and poultry and, of course, the day’s catch from the bay. All of it is simply prepared and subtly seasoned with herbs from our own gardens so that the local flavors of the Eastern Shore can shine. Inn at Perry Cabin’s ultimate gift to guests is true relaxation. From our spa to our shoreline, our staff shoulders every worry and takes care of every request.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Inn. What was supposed to be a small family reunion was disrupted by a health emergency, and I’m the only one who ended up there. Aung did a wonderful job adjusting our reservations without any heartburn, which greatly relieved my anxiety. Thank you, Aung! I enjoyed every minute of my stay — from relaxing by the waterfront and its therapeutic views, to resting in my well appointed room (including its lovely terrace and soaking tub), to kayaking around the numerous coves, to enjoying a massage in the wonderful spa, to feasting on delicious cuisine. The crab dip in the Pub and all of the entrees from Stars are not to be missed. I also enjoyed how easy it was to walk into town, but it was great to know that I could call the Inn for a ride at any time. The staff did a wonderful job dealing with all of the COVID rules and seemed to solve every problem. While I look forward to the return of proper room service, I appreciated the carryout and delivery options that were made available. The Inn at Perry Cabin is a special place. I look forward to returning, whether with my extended family or solo again for more relaxation.

This was my first time staying at the Inn at Perry Cabin. We were checked in by Bri. She set the tone of what to expect with her pleasant disposition. Throughout our stay, Eva made sure all of our needs were met. She was exceptional and attentive. Our suite was fantastic. As soon as I walked in, I felt a calmness from the decor and layout. Our first meal was at the pub. We were served by delightful Cheyanne learned about the specialty cocktail "The wedding Crasher". Some of the activities we enjoyed were a beautiful sail on the Eastern Bay. A bicycle ride into town on our second day. I also enjoyed morning yoga outside overlooking the Bay. I highly recommend the wonderful relaxing massage. Diane at Star restaurant got us great dinner seats for our last night. Having dinner while over-looking the water with the evening lights was just spectacular. All of our waiters were equally attentive. it's amazing how culturally diverse the staff were. I met staff from Spain, Myanmar, Turkey, Jamaica, and St. Michaels. We ended our stay being checked out smoothly by Aung. This was a wonderful birthday.

Many thanks to Katherine and the wonderful, friendly team at the Inn at Perry Cabin for delivering the perfect 80th birthday luncheon for my mother in law. Originally I booked the adorable Greenhouse, but our numbers grew from 6 to 11 people. Katherine and her team thoughtfully placed all of us in the ‘morning room’ so everyone (same family and/or vaccinated) could sit around the same table, look out onto the beautiful water and enjoy the breeze. The service was impeccable, the food delicious and the special ordered ‘Smith Island’ cake was fabulous! Her siblings aren’t easily impressed and all of them enjoyed a perfect luncheon. Lisa’s informative horticulture tour before lunch was wonderful and my mother in law and sister in law loved listening to the garden planning, it was right up their alley. And of course the beautiful gardens and landscape with the waterfront view served as a picturesque venue for outside, socially distanced pre and post-luncheon wandering around and socializing. Thanks again to the wonderful team and a perfect birthday luncheon.

This is a beautiful property on the water. Our ground floor room opened to a patio with a table and 2 chairs from which we enjoyed our books and the beautiful view. The entrance to the room has a tall armoire but lacks proper lighting so I needed to use my phone to see what I had on the shelves! There is a floor lamp past the armoire but it’s light is insufficient. The bathroom is a good size but lacks practical space to store bathroom items for two people. The hotel placed a 3 shelf glass (bottom shelf is entirely taken by the hair dryer) for our items. It was extremely impractical. There seems to have been a decorating effort without any consideration for practicality. There is no door or walk hook for the robes. A nice single serve Nespresso machine is provided. The coffee cups given are too small and overflowed! I had to use the bathroom plastic cups. We enjoyed our dinner at the restaurant. The service was excellent and the food was quite good.
