Log Canoe Inn, named in honor of the historic log canoe sailing vessels built in St. Michaels and other local ports around the Chesapeake Bay. Each of our six rooms are named after a famous log canoe and display pictures and other memorabilia unique to that vessel. The main entry sitting room displays photos of the fleet and trophies awarded from regatta races sponsored by local yacht clubs. We are located at 208 Carpenter Street, just a short walk to Carpenter Street Saloon, where the locals gather and during regatta weekends you will run into log canoe sailors. Built in 1790, the Inn originally served primarily as a private residence during its two hundred year history. For a time after that, it famously served as the clubhouse of the Miles River Yacht Club. Through pictures, memorabilia, and sailing trophies spread throughout the rooms, you can reminisce on the unique history of the property. Today, the Inn still maintains antique furnishings and original long leaf yellow pine floors in order to keep the history and charm it held over a hundred years ago. During the summer months our guests can enjoy the view on the lawn by relaxing down by the water, while during the winter months they can enjoy the ambiance and warmth of the crackling fireplace in the main sitting room. The Inn offers daily, weekly, and monthly rentals with a panoramic view of the historic St. Michaels Harbor. Enjoy the picturesque view while relaxing on our lawn under a canopy of trees. Being only two short blocks from Talbot Street, the main town road, the Inn is within a comfortable walking distance to everywhere in town, but still sits back far enough to maintain a quiet ambiance. If you are traveling by boat, we have docking available for smaller sized boats right at the Inn, and for larger sized boats right beside our property at Higgins Yacht Yard & Marina. Come get away and unwind while you experience everything the town has to offer!

Simply the best find. Centrally located, walk to all the restaurants, museums, private area to sit at the waterfront. Stayed at one of the cottages, very private for two, excellent accommodations, excellent price. There is no better place to stay for the value. We did everything and did not move the car for the weekend. I cannot tell you how pleased we were. Reserved with Cathy, no problem, cordial, professional, a great experience. Please ask me if there are any particulars you need, this was a great find. We will be back. We will be back!

Cathy the Innkeeper was awesome. She knows the town inside and out. We stayed in the Higgins Room and had a view of the harbor. The front lawn was great and had a nice breeze. They also own some of the cottages nearby. The AC worked perfectly in the sweltering heat we had during our visit.

We stayed at Sunset Cottage, it was perfect. The cottage is so cozy, close to all the shops, dining and around the corner from the harbor. It has 3 porches with comfortable seating to enjoy an evening glass of wine. We took our 2 dogs, there is plenty of space for your pet in the back yard. We are already talking about a return trip in the fall. Don't hesitate to book the Two Swan Inn, we loved it!

This year we stayed at Cygnet Cottage. Didn't have to go out for breakfast as this cottage has a full kitchen and eating area. Loved the screened in porch allowing us to sit and drink while we had a little rain. One bath, but a sink in each bedroom so bathroom was not taken up for brushing teeth. Lovely living room with fireplace and sliding doors to outside. Perfect for us and we plan to stay there again. Cathy is a fabulous owner and makes one feel so welcome. We always recommend Two Swan Inn to our friends and family.

We stayed 2 nights in the most lovely, cozy cottage where fall was in full swing.we sat in rockers on the delightful front porch and watched the Harbor happenings. The accommodations were upscale which had everything we needed , coffee pot, fridge, fireplace , TV. The cottage was in walking distance to shopping, eating and sightseeing We will highly recommend to our friends
