We arrived at the Inn at Brome Howard after a long day of driving down the Western Shore of Maryland. We were welcomed by Tara the innkeeper as we were parking our car and that first friendly welcome set the tone for our overnight stay. The Inn is architecturally wonderful,

We were looking for a quiet, no stress getaway for our anniversary weekend and we were NOT disappointed. We arrived on Friday night to find our room waiting for us. The room was so beautiful and very much in keeping with the 1800's time period that it dates to. We had a

My husband and I stayed at The Inn at Brome Howard for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. The innkeeper was warm and friendly and the room was absolutely beautiful. It felt like being able to spend the night in a house museum--and the views of the river were to die for. I

There are few things we enjoy more than a few days of down time at a quiet, romantic B&B; in the midst of nature, beauty, and/or history. I happened upon this place looking for such places in Eastern Maryland, and it is absolutely what we were looking for in both ambiance &

The rooms are okay for what they try to do but the rest of the INN is managed poorly and the caterer is oblivious to the needs of clients staying there. No one seems to be able to do more than the routine and guests can wait literally hours before anyone will ask what they can

We are sorry to learn you had such an unpleasant experience at The Inn. You can see from other reviews that this is not normally the case. Feel free to get in touch with our business manager, Porzia, at 240-895-4960. We would like to learn more about your involvement with Inn staff and the caterer so we can insure this does not happen again.

First of all, I am NOT connected with the Inn at Brome Howard -- I simply stayed there this summer. > rooms that are handicapped accessible? The Inn was built in 1840, and modifications to this historic house are fairly minimal. There is a wheel-chair ramp to the front door, and one of the rooms is on the first floor, so wheel chair accessibility MIGHT be possible. But I wouldn't be surprised if there is no fully accessible room. > how far are you from Ridge? According to Mapquest, 6.3 miles. > What are your rates. $140 for Sunday to Thursday, $185 on weekends. Note that the Calvert Room is the only one on the ground floor.

Are the rooms air conditioned?
Each room has its own PTAC unit, so visitors can control heat and air conditioning for their room. By all accounts, these work perfectly. Window units were replaced about a year ago.

"Rooms on the north side have the best views of the river."
"Red room has a river view."
"All are lovely."
"We stayed in the Calvert room, which has a lovely view of the back grounds and river, though it was partially obscured by condensation on the windows from the AC running. The room was VERY comfy, but it was incredibly humid, thus necessitating the AC working hard."
"Choose the red room, facing the river."
