Stayed here 4 nights on business. The front desk was always very nice. Hotel was conveniently located in a very nice area. The coffee was out early, which was nice. I did not feel that the hotel was clean. The elevator was filthy. My room just did not feel clean. It didn’t look like it had been deep cleaned. Hotel doesn’t offer nightly cleanings…why?? This might be impacting my feeling of the room not being 100% cleaned, because it’s getting cleaned a fraction of the time it used to get cleaned. The 5th floor has this strange area by the elevators and something about it was just weird, a bit creepy even.

Very good service, and very clean. Unfortunately our room was next to someone who were extremely loud until 5 am. No sleep per us, the noise came through the bathroom walls not the room walls for some reason. Could have changed rooms but it was after 10:30 pm when all hell broke loose and didn't want to get out of bed, get dressed and go down to the front desk. Do not blame the hotel only the inconsiderate jerks next door. The hotel did not need to put customers next door to each pother because the hotel may have had at best 30% occupancy. Next time to will change rooms.

In most ways this is an above average Sheraton. It's reasonably new, and well-maintained and in a convenient location. The gym is better than most and the staff are friendly. Where it falls down is woefully inadequate wifi - not enough to even make a video call in the evening or join a teams meeting during the day time. Completely inadequate for today's business environment. The second letdown is with food choices in the evening which are very limited. The restaurant staff are friendly, but there's just nothing heathy on the menu to choose from.

Everything else is a drive away, which is unfortunate

Spent a few weeks at this gem of a hotel in town for work. This hotel has potential but is lacking in a few areas, mostly bathroom related. Placed in a club level room across from the elevator and dining lobby, not quiet by any means. There was a fan motor of some sort constantly running in the bathroom that sounded like a vacuum, the room full of screaming unsupervised circus children next door and I asked for a new room. I was woke up one morning, I work nights and had just gone to sleep not much earlier, for a water leak that wasn't in my room. What sort of sadists give you 1-ply toilet paper to use? The new room further down the hall to be quieter, no hot showers. On average, about one hot shower every other day, the others were warmish at best. Brought to mgmt's attention and I was given a cheap bottle of wine I didn't end up drinking, I'm guessing to warm me up since the shower wouldn't. There is an indoor pool but it was not open. The fitness center was alright, lots of space to work out in. Free breakfasts were a nice gesture but missed the mark on quality, you'll be fine if you like oddly slimy eggs. I made the mistake of having housekeeping pick up my towels one morning, I say mistake because they never gave me any new ones. There is coin laundry, bring your change because the front desk did not have any. Overall, not the best hotel I've stayed at, I've honestly had better stays at motels. I'd give it one star but they sort of tried with free water bottles.

We need a rollaway bed or cot for the fourth person in our room. We considered bringing a camping cot with us, but saw on the hotel website that one rollaway bed and one crib is available for a double bed room. I called the hotel to verify this and was told that yes, we could have a rollaway bed brought into the room. I called again the morning of the reservation and spoke to a different person at the front desk who told me that housekeeping would bring it in and it would be there upon check in. Just in case, we called again this afternoon, after leaving home (without our camping cot.) This time, we were told no, that a rollaway bed isn't an option for the room. We told the person on the phone that the website as well as two other employees said otherwise. She said she would check the website. Shouldn't the hotel know what the website for their own hotel states? Why is it that 3 employees have two different answers? Who is correct, the first two employees, the third employee, or the website? When looking again at the website, it says the hotel accepts pets - imagine if someone travels to this hotel with a pet and then is turned away. How is it that a hotel doesn't adhere to their own published information? Marriott and Sheraton Rockville need to align their false advertising with their poorly trained employees to ensure that customers are given correct information from start to finish. We will never stay here again, and will avoid Sheraton and Marriott in general, as when traveling, it's imperative to have correct information at all times.

Terrible stay. I am a Marriott platinum elite member. The hotel did not at any time during my four day stay acknowledge my status or offer any of the promised amenities. The room we were put in was a mess. The carpet was stained and dirty. The HVAC system did not work well as the room was moist and had signs of mold. The room furniture was cheaply made and offered no drawers and had a very limited place to hang shirts and pants. None of our towel and soap requests were honored. There was two facial soap and no shower soap in the bathroom. Towels were minimal and it took three tries to get additional ones.
We had a horrible experience, find another place to stay if you are in Rockville.

Marriott is spending a lot of money promoting their commitment to clean--not here. I'm the highest ranking Marriott member so if they treat me this way, imagine how they treat the normal "Joe". This hotel doesn't give bottled water, mold in bathroom, no washrags (even the towels were threadbare), no shampoo, sheets looked like they were not cleaned....stay somewhere else!!

I was in town for a high school reunion and stayed two nights at the Sheraton. The location was good, the beds were comfortable but service was poor. My room was on the "club level" which is supposed to include a community room with complimentary snacks and drinks and breakfast. I asked the front desk why it was so empty and was told that they don't stock it on the weekends!? What in the world?! I'm only here for the weekend, and the whole area was completely empty. The water was being turned off overnight for maintenance one night. There is literally no soundproofing between the rooms. I could hear the guy next door talking on the phone as if he was in the same room! We met friends at the bar after our event in the evening and the bartender was so rude! She was yelling at people, and could not have been any more miserable! I would think they would be grateful for the business. I don't think I will ever stay here again, staff needs some training on how to treat customers and I would never pay extra to stay on club level!

The negative reviews are pretty accurate. The hotel is dirty. The fan blowing in the fitness area drove people out. There were ants in my room, the shower had alot of long hairs on the floor. There is NO WIFI. The front desk attendant actually told me to go sit in the lobby where the WIFI works. The ultimate issue though was the next morning: NO HOT WATER. The front desk attendant actually told me "we are aware of this." I complained, the manager Isaac will not return my calls but actually emailed me saying "thank you for your feedback."

Do not stay here.

I know this may sound petty, but I am a Marriott Titanium lifetime member who has paid for the good services that Marriott usually provides. There are two ice machines on the 2nd and 4th floor. No ice in either one, waited 4hours, still nothing. Went to the front desk and they wound not get me any ice. I just wanted a little bit for my warm tea. Not staying there again. They don’t care about their guests, and were on the verge of being rude about it.
