We were so grateful to the staff for patiently planning with us and then executing a beautiful outdoor pandemic compliant rehearsal dinner. The food was very good and the attention to detail appreciated. Staff coordinated with tent company throughout. Our guest accommodations at the Inn were clean, quiet, comfortable, and had great views. We loved having our family all on one floor so we could visit and coordinate travel. Breakfast buffet was always delicious and carefully served.
My husband and I just stayed at The Inn at Osprey Point for a romantic getaway. It was fabulous! We were greeted warmly by our lovely Innkeeper Terry, who loves what she does! We stayed in the spacious Bolero Room, and enjoyed having a drink in front of the fireplace on a chilly winter night. The bed was heavenly with silky sheets. We had a fabulous view of the marina. We enjoyed fabulous breakfasts both mornings, with delicious offerings. We ate at a local restaurant, and explored a wildlife refuge museum and shopped charming Chestertown. We highly recommend staying in this Inn anytime of the year!!!
This was a lovely, private, relaxing anniversary getaway weekend. We stayed at the Annex at Gratitude Marina, part of the Osprey Inn complex, for our anniversary weekend; the Inn's main building was full. We stayed at the Captains Quarters, which is on the ground level (my wife can't handle steps well). While a bit pricier than the other rooms at the Annex, it was worth it. The room is spacious, with a king size bed, a large bathroom with shower, plenty of closet space, and plenty of relaxation space. There is a coffee maker, which my wife used to make hot tea, a desk, a small table for dining, and a couple of chairs. The decor is quite good, not overstated, with a nautical theme (of course).. Due to Covid-19 there was no room service, so I couldn't rate that, but they did supply plenty of towels in advance. There is a rear door that leads to the deck that wraps around the building outside of the room. Our part of the building is actually over the water; you can sometimes hear the waves slapping against the pilings underneath the room. On the deck is a bench and an Adirondack chair that my wife really enjoyed; she could just sit, watch the water, read and relax. I already posted about the Osprey Point Restaurant, which is in the main building with the Inn. I'll just add that it is a short distance away, less than 5 minute drive, and breakfast, which we took full advantage of, is included with the room price. A great private less-known spot to stay, but within easy driving of Chestertown for in-town activities.…
Finding a great location as Rock Hall and The Inn at Osprey Point within less than two hours from Washington DC was a great treat. But for the price of our room and the extra money paid for having flowers, wine, and chocolate strawberries in our room (wife's Birthday) upon arrival, not sure of the value. Even though the staff was top shelf, still not sure of the value. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and both staff and food were exceptional. Breakfast came with the room, but this was somewhat disappointing. Not much of a selection and nothing special. Maybe the coronavirus played a role in all this.
Osprey Inn is absolutely lovely. We stayed in a room with lovely water views over the marina, ate lovely breakfasts and a dinner in the cozy (well spaced) restaurant with attentive friendly staff, and took and wonderful kayak trip across the “creek” into some beautiful inlets where we saw blue herons and bald eagle. Rick Hall is quiet and peaceful. I would definitely recommend this as a wondeful weekend getaway.
