This was our first visit and we felt like we were welcome guests at an exclusive country estate. We stayed in the Pond Cottage which is large and nicely appointed with all of the amenities of a luxury resort. The grounds and gardens are meticulously maintained and the pool is great. Jim and Joanne are excellent hosts and the entire... More

A mini getaway could not have been spent in anywhere more perfect than a cottage at Jim and Joanne's Inn. My boyfriend and I went kayaking, took a Harley ride to the wildlife refuge, enjoyed sunlight and smiles for three days that went by too fast. Jim and Joanne are amazing hosts and they made us feel so welcome and... More

You two were the cutest! We are so happy you had a good time and really hope you'll come back soon...I was hoping for some more conversation and maybe a Harley ride! You're right about the sunsets, btw. We love them, too. More

Jim and Joanne couldn't have been any nicer or more welcoming. We arrived and were immediately greeted by Java, one of the friendly labs. We had a tour of the inn and were shown our room. After changing into our swimsuits, we headed for the in-ground pool by way of the fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies in the library. Jim and... More

Avoid Easton's crowds and get the personal, peaceful, country escape you are really looking for. Still have access to quaint towns and shops/restaurants also in Chestertown and Rock Hall too --- but come home to Huntingfield. Owners are friendly and welcoming-- you are instantly a family friend. Now comes the best part-- activities are included! And excellent wine ! Go... More

Enjoyed a beautiful weekend on this picturesque 70 acre B&B. We brought the dog who was made to feel quite at home running with Jim and JoAnn's dogs. Great breakfast dining a la fresco. Jim and JoAnn are wonderful accommodating hosts. In the words of Siskel & Ebert, "two thumbs up"!

Our congenial and talented hosts Jim and Joanne have created a haven of peace and relaxation here. Our cottage is roomy, attractively and comfortably furnished with terrific nature vistas in all directions. Proximity to topnotch seafood restaurants, specialty shops and cafe in Rock Hall plus the Maritime Museum in St. Michaels and fishing hiking and biking in the nearby nature... More

Thank you Amy! You and John were a joy to host and we love that you chose to stay with us on your honeymoon. Huntingfield Creek is a delightful retreat from the hectic. Wonderful accommodations and very welcoming and delightful host and hostess (Joanne and Jim). Excellent breakfasts. Immaculately maintained property, wine and beer fridge open to all, tasty chocolate chip cookies, huge library to draw from, beautifully decorated main property. So much one can do on the property from swimming in a nice... More

I will be honest - I can generally find something negative to point out in most of my reviews - the proverbial 'but...' or 'con'. This time I can't - our experience at this Inn was 100% positive. It was perfect, we loved it and will definitely return. It was within easy driving distance from DC and our cottage was... More

Delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay! We agree, the Zen Cottage is just perfect for a tranquil 'getaway from the madness' weekend. I wish I'd known sooner about your time in Norway...still on our bucket list and perhaps on a future visit we can hear more about it. Thank you for your gracious review...and now you know that Java... More

The wedding that "Bill_and_Nancy" reviewed was my daughter's and I fully endorse everything that Bill mentioned in his review. We began working with Jim and Joanne (co-owners) last year in planning my daughter's wedding. They were very easy to work with and very accommodating. When you hold your wedding at IHC you reserve the entire property (including all the rooms)... More

Mark and Deb were enthusiastic planners who obviously wanted to make sure their daughter's wedding reality matched her vision. We are so happy to hear that we apparently were able to deliver. We thank you all again for your kind words and for being such good partners in what turned out to be a wonderful weekend for everyone! More

At 57 years old, I've attended more than my fair share of weddings. Last night at the Inn at Huntingfield Creek was one of the very best, ever. 135 people, outdoors, utilizing a tent and their "barn." That last word is a misnomer by the way; the barn is this little bit of restored perfection. Chandeliers, ceiling fans to keep... More

Ok, ok, we will admit to having leaky tear ducts after reading this review. These marvelous guests must have gone out of their way to know about the acid-stained concrete floor and other details mentioned, which is special to say the least. We are most gratified that they refer to the crew that work with us as family because that's... More
