My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Heidi’s cute B&B. She met us at the door and spent time giving us info on her place as well as good restaurants. We had the Robert Louis Stevenson room, very quaint and comfy with a private bath. The neighborhood is super quite and we both got a good nights sleep. Heidi served us an “English breakfast” the next morning at 9 which was quite good. We haven’t stayed at a B&B for a few years and forgot how enjoyable it is compared to a regular hotel. Heidi provided a first class stay, highly recommended! John & Michele
The Booker Lover's Inn is a well loved and cared for inn. We enjoyed meeting Heidi and were treated like family stopping by for a visit. The rooms were immaculate and the bed very comfortable. We stayed after walking the Wildlife refuge in Cambridge and canoeing on the Pocomoke. We would definitely stay here again .
Happened upon the Book Lovers Inn by chance. Sooo happy I did! Heidi is wonderful, the inn is super clean and cozy. Loved our stay but sorry it was only one night! My English tea at breakfast reminded me of my growing up years with my Welsh Grandma and Grandpa, we always had tea together in the morning. We stayed in the Langston Hughes room and it was great. Very comfy bed and everything had a good comfortable feeling. I just loved it there, did I say that already??
My partner and I stayed here after a day trip to Chincoteague on our way back to DC. We enjoyed a lovely evening in the Robert Louis Stevenson room (on the cozier side, depending on your size, but with some delightful thematic elements). Heidi was an amazing host — this place is clearly a passion project for her, and it shines through in her attention to detail and care for the guest experience. She also prepares a lovely English breakfast! We will certainly be staying here again on our next trip to the peninsula!
We drove down from N.J. We stayed for the Labor Day weekend from Friday to Sunday. When we got there Heidi was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room and the inn were spotless. The English breakfast prepared by Heidi and her husband Paul was delicious. My husband and I got to go sight-seeing in the area to the Teackle Mansion and do some antiquing. All in all it was a nice relaxing weekend thanks to the hostess with the mostess Heidi.
I had a wonderful time at the Book Lovers Inn this past weekend. Heidi was welcoming and warm, and the room and inn were cozy, clean, and very peaceful. I stayed in the charming timeless Langston Hughes room, and was able to recover some long-lost sleep in the two nights I spent. If you can, stay for a weekend. The English breakfast on Saturday (with tea in delightful China) was a great way to start the day. Next time I’ll be here on a weekday to try the Afternoon Tea, but honestly I’d come back regardless. Thank you for everything!
I stayed at the inn alone for one night on my way to Long Island. Heidi is an EXCEPTIONAL hostess who truly cares and LOVES to make her guests feel as welcome and possible. She also takes pride in the cleanliness of her rooms. Her breakfast was WONDERFUL as was the conversation. My room and bathroom where absolutley perfect. The details of the inn are perfect - room radio turned to soft jazz, tea in the afternoon, several books in the library....very warm and inviting. Good to know: all rooms are on 2nd floor so there is staircase navigation involved and the rooms themselves do not have TV's. There is, however, a large TV in the main sitting room. This is a VERY special place!!!!
I stayed here last month while in the area for a wedding. It was marvelous! I raved to my friends about this place and am looking forward to returning at some point! Heidi makes you feel so at home! I chose the Langston Hughes room and thoroughly enjoyed it! The bed was so comfortable and the water in the shower felt like being in a spa! Breakfast was simple and delicious! I even enjoyed time in the library (I really am a book lover!). Definitely check it out if you're looking for a place in the area!!
Langston Hughes room was welcoming and full of history. When I returned from dinner the period radio was on soft jazz. Heidi was such a lovely host. She went out of her way to make me feel welcomed. The morning tea was perfect! I would definitely return.
My wife's friend gave us a child free weekend at the Princes Anne Book Lovers Inn B&B for my birthday. From the outside it is a quaint home with almost a southern charm. Once inside it was very clean and organized home. Once we checked in we were shown the TV room, the eating area (cookies were waiting) and then our room. Be prepared there is a distinct British theme in the home....lol Our room was clean, towels in the bathroom and a tub. The hostess gave us some tips about where to go during our stay. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was waiting for us in the morning. After breakfast we took up the hostess on her suggestion and visited Berlin, MD. Small town, but had antique shops, friendly people and free parking. We arrived back that evening, watched TV for a bit and retired to our room. The next morning was an English Breakfast and we headed back home. Overall it was a relaxing and great experience at this B&B. We'll return in the future!…
