Spent two nights here while exploring the area by bicycle. The Parkers are wonderful hosts--wonderful breakfast, pleasant cocktail hour with a cozy fire, delightful conversation, lots of local knowledge. One of our group had both lactose and gluten restrictions (which were mentioned prior to our arrival), which Deborah handled beautifully. The bookcase in our room offered a lot of good... More

My wife and I spent two nights at Somerset House and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. Jay and Deborah are terrific hosts. After we checked in we shared a bottle of wine with Jay as he filled us in on the local history and customs. Fascinating! If you have a question about the area, he will be able to answer... More

My husband and I were fortunate to select Somerset House for our Eastern Shore getaway. Jay and Deborah are lovely hosts. They enjoy having guests at their B&B and made us feel at home and taken care of. Deb is a great cook and made delicious home-cooked breakfasts. Jay is an enjoyable conversationalist who kept us charmed with his life... More

What a gem! The historic Somerset house is beautiful with gorgeous antique furniture, under the spreading arms of the giant old ginko tree by the front door. Jay and Deb are tremendous hosts, and the reviews of breakfast and hospitality here are all spot on. Princess Anne is the Somerset county seat, and just a short drive to the beach... More

We had a wonderful time in this bed and breakfast. The hosts were warm and welcoming... I felt as if they were inviting us into their home. The breakfast was fantastic. I would without a doubt come back here and stay.

The Somerset House is a great place to stay when on the Eastern Shore. Conveniently located only about an easy 35-40 minute drive to Ocean City. It's a beautiful house built in the mid 1800s, with a beautiful relaxing garden. Jay and Debbie Parker are friendly hosts. Jay eats breakfast with you and is a great conversationalist. Debbie is the... More

We have come to Somerset House for a two-day stay each year for the last four. Deborah and Jay Parker are the most welcoming hosts we've encountered at a bed and breakfast! They truly make us feel like we are returning to family. From the wine and cheese upon arrival to the great breakfasts of Deborah's pancakes, bacon, fresh fruit... More

We stayed at this antique-filled -- but not fussy -- B&B while at a family reunion in Princess Anne. The circa-1852 house has been lovingly maintained and comfortably furnished -- slept well in a spacious, elegant room and enjoyed a hot shower in an updated bathroom (across the hall but private). The backyard is big and verdant with many plantings,... More

We stayed one night in the Keswick Room as we traveled through eastern shore Maryland. The Somerset House is elegant and beautiful, comfortable and inviting. Innkeepers Deborah and Jay were most gracious and entertaining, treating us like family. We enjoyed wine and cheese on the back patio garden on arrival as well as a superb breakfast of blueberry pancakes in... More
