We had a very different experience here than the other reviewers, unfortunately. Upon our arrival at the Oxford Inn, we learned there was a "Block Party" being hosted at the Inn that evening. We made our reservations in February and no one at the Oxford Inn felt the need to inform us prior to our arrival that several amenities would... More

Snow in April - is it too cold to spontaneously spend the weekend in Oxford? Probably yes, but we did it anyway, and we loved it. The proprietor was kind enough to allow a last minute booking, and we tucked into a great dinner and wine. The cold stayed away- it was nothing but warm and comfortable in the Inn.... More

Three story Inn with ground floor porch, restaurant & bar. This is not a B&B - it's more like an English pub with rooms adjunct to the restaurant (much quieter, though - Oxford is not a late night town). Superior dining. Water views from porch and some guest rooms. No two rooms alike. 'Stuart Hall' room is a spacious corner... More

We have stayed and dined at the Oxford Inn several times and have always enjoyed our experience. The staff have always been very friendly and efficient. Our room has always been clean and comfortable. Don't miss the Tuna and Rockfish! Drinks on the relaxing front porch round out a perfect night for us each time!

I just stayed 3 nights at the Oxford Inn and had a great time. My room was very clean and well appointed with nice antiques and decor. The bed was very comfortable and I loved having a private bathroom. One very nice touch was the luxurious towels and linens that made me all the more comfortable. Evenings on the front... More

It was like taking a little step back to the past ... we felt like welcomed guests in a lovely home. Oxford Inn is totally charming and dinner was excellent. Great care and superior presentation made breakfast a true delight.

We enjoyed the Oxford Inn, although it isn't without its flaws. We had great meals (dinner and breakfast) in the restaurant, but the guest rooms are a little tired, and the small common room on the ground floor is dark and small. Some refreshing to the decor and maybe a lighter, more contemporary palette would make this a lovely spot... More

I visit this area at least once a year with family, and will stay here if there isn't enough room at my parent's house. The charm of the innkeepers is a definite plus . . . especially if we're lucky enough to catch up with them at Pope's Tavern. The rooms are spacious and quiet . . . offering a... More

This inn is in a wonderful location in the immensely charming town of Oxford. It's walkable to the village, the ferry, the water, and several marinas. Its best feature is the restaurant, Pope's Tavern. The bedrooms are dated in decor and need some TLC, but they're clean and tidy. (But boy would some high quality white bed linens make a... More

We stayed in the Tavern room and it was spacious and clean but the whole place is a little worn around the edges. Management is quite haphazard but friendly. Despite the drawbacks we enjoyed our stay. The bed was good, the room was quiet and the restaurant (see my Pope's review) was excellent.
