My boyfriend and I stayed there the last weekend of September. We went on their web site and found a couples "getaway weekend package" for $69.50 per night, which also included a $40.00 credit towards dinner that you could use at about ten different restaurants. We made the reservations only a day or two ahead of time and got everything we asked for when we checked in (king size, non-smoking room that was very clean). We enjoyed our dinner at The Embers and overall had a great time. The one drawback is that the Fenwick Inn is located on the bay side of Ocean City, which means you have to cross a busy street to get to the beach side. We would definitely stay there again.

First time staying here, but always drove by and thought 'what a nice place'. Needing a dog friendly hotel and a hot tub, we sourced this place. Stayed President's weekend (friday to monday). Very friendly staff at check-in. Not sure how they handled the wind this weekend with the doors opening and closing non stop.

My dog Roxy loved the bed, while I felt it was a 'ok' Pillowsare small, we had some of ours anyway. Room was very large (room 203). Bathoom looks small, but you need to get inside and close the door, and its quite adequate. The shower is either hard core or lite spray. i wish for more in the middle, but again, it was hot and clean.

I did like the larger fridge for the room. TV is fine. No pay channels, but the TV itself has a channel guide so you know what you are watching. My room faced Coastal Highway. Noise was not bad, and the blinds blocked 99% of the daylight. You had way more noise from the hallways and adjoining rooms. We have no kids and our dog keeps quiet, but the neighbors had kids and a loud dog. Its a dog-friendly floor, and again it was quite managable. Dog owners should not leave their dog in the room all day, we take ours on car rides and to the boardwalk. Roxy loves to see the wild horses and Dumsers ice cream.

Pool area. I look hard at these areas being a theme park / waterpark manger. They did a great job. The water is warm, they bought great lounge chairs, and the hot tub is hot, However, Saturday was a fee for all, guests drinking beer, kids throwing balls up and into the tipping buckets, which casued one to break (its a simple fix), and toddlers and babies in the hot tub. I hope they had swim diapers on. Signage for Maryland dies not require it. Sunday had grown adults belly flopping off the hot tub wall into the pool. Again, its family fun, but guests sometimes forget they are in public. The room had great ventilation and was at proper temperature.

Jordan's is under rennovation, so no meals or Elvis impersonaters singing, but I would stop back to dine and listen. Good hotel for the weekend, just needs to clean up the dog park, outdoor trash cans, and keep the pool area a little regulated.

Hello Sam, Thank you for sharing your experience of staying at this hotel. It's great to hear that you enjoyed your stay overall and that the staff was friendly and accommodating. It's also nice to know that your furry friend Roxy enjoyed the bed and that the room was spacious enough for your needs. I appreciate your feedback on the noise level in the room, and how the blinds were effective in blocking out daylight. However, it's unfortunate to hear that noise from the hallway and neighboring rooms was a bit more disruptive. It's important for guests to be respectful of others, especially in a dog-friendly environment where barking can be a concern. Thank you for your detailed review of the pool area. It's great to hear that it was well-maintained, and that the lounge chairs were comfortable. However, it's disappointing to hear that some guests were not following the rules. Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts on this hotel. We hope you will come to visit again soon once our brand-new rooftop restaurant opens this spring!

For the price being charged, the room should have been cleaner. They didn't vacuum before we arrived, sand was just pushed to the corner of the bathroom and the tub had dried body wash in it when we arrived. At least the beds were clean. It's a good place to stay for kids and dogs, and has a quiet neighborhood behind the inn to take walks in. It was very noisy during the day but did quiet down at night. There is plenty of parking and elevators worked well. Fast check in/out.

They should pay their guests to stay here. There were very loud, disruptive and innapropriate clientele. We were moved at 3am from a king to a double room and the new room we were in was non-smoking and smelled of stale cigarettes. There was no customer service support center to file complaints, request reimbursement, or make suggestions about supporting their own staff. (For example, there was no security backup for overnight the front desk receptionist.) If you're hoping for a hottub, look elsewhere. The hottub is like bathwater and the pool is cold. The restaurant is closed during the off season, even though there is no notification of that being the case when looking at their amenities. Beyond our poor experience, the lack of staff and customer support should be enough to deter you. Good luck, my friends.
Note: After I post this Jon, the manager, will no doubt post a response saying they did everything right and would've handled the pool, etc. For me there is no excuse for multiple calls to the front desk at 3am and only getting a busy line, calling the main hotel line to get corporate who said she would "send security" and instead ending up walking down to the front desk where all we had was a receptionist with no backup at all who was trying to help. The next day there was no one to file a complaint with because clearly the front desk staff cannot do anything and is clearly unsupported. That is not a good business, Jon [--] . Support your staff. Support your customers. I have the right to share my experience.

Cara Rogers, Thanks for staying with us at the Fenwick Inn. We apologize about the disruptive guests that made your stay with us anything less of satisfactory. It is a shame, after speaking with you in multiple emails, that you decided to write this negative review. We do want to mention that it is the off-season in Ocean City MD and it is not common to have the caliber of personnel that you are seeking at 3am and we do apologize about that. It is not common to have a customer service team available at 3am, besides the front desk agent. We did however get the opportunity to speak in multiple emails regarding the disruptive guests during normal business hours, as most customer service systems are set up this way. Again, We must state, that a disruptive guest is not the hotels fault, we immediately took action once we were aware of the situation and we evicted the disruptive guests. I wish you would have brought any issues with your room or temperature concerns with the pool & spa to our attention while staying with us because we would have been more than happy to get them addressed immediately. We also wish you had stated these concerns in email to us, as you only stated the disruptive guests. We wish you the best for your future endeavors.

This hotel was really upsetting. We had to book this room at this hotel last minute and were WAY overcharged!! I would not complain if the hotel met all standards that would require being charged so much$! The room was very dirty! It smelled funny, which we found out was because there was a leak coming from the bathroom wall. The tub was not draining, maintenance came to fix then was supposed to send up someone to clean the damp floor no one showed and it was really wet all week long. There was no servicing to the rooms all week long. We had to ask daily for towels and washcloths (no hand towels), toilet paper, tissues, and we had to vacuum our own room. For $2K a week this is ridiculous!! The staff was very nice but we were left to our own devices basically. The hotel pool so gross! The color was cloudy and full of sand (never saw anyone cleaning pool, the area around pool very dirty and constantly ran out of pool towels. My in laws also got a room and there was a major leak in their bathroom that flooded the whole room so we checked out a day early and no one has called to ask why or offer a refund of any kind. Poor customer service!! The roof top restaurant and terrace not open either. My tub has a crack in it and the floor was stained and dirty in room and bathroom. The bedding was stained as well as the towels. Very sad and a huge upset to our family vacation. We were on a 3rd floor with no windows that didn't open and there were flies and small bugs in room too. I had to take my room trash down to front desk and ask for trash bags every time. Trash receptacle outside always overloaded and trash all over property. They also never cleaned up the wash area where you rinse off sand from beach; there was a pile of mud/sand and trash and ton of non draining water.

I used to come to Ocean City and stay at the Fenwick Inn with my family when I was a child. So many great memories here. I'm now a 43 year old father of two boys and wanted to make the same type of memories with them. Unfortunately, 4 hours after check-in I've already had a bad experience.

After driving most of the day, we finally checked in around 8pm on June 26th. We went out for a bite to eat and then headed back to the room around 11pm to call it a night. We booked a one bedroom suite with a king size bed and a sleeper sofa for my oldest son. The sleeper sofa was not equipped with any pillows so I went down to the front desk (because the room phone was broken) and requested a pillow. I was told that the housekeeping manager keeps all of the pillows locked in his office and he would not be returning to the hotel until the next morning. Instead they offered to stuff a blanket into a pillowcase for me.

A four night stay with an average nightly rate of $321/night, not having a pillow for my son's bed was not acceptable to me and I don't think I was being irrational or difficult. My frustration was met with disgust from the front desk staff with a perceived attitude that this was normal for a hotel. Instead of working towards an acceptable solution I was met with, "why did you wait until 11pm to ask for a pillow?"

I have worked in hospitality (including a hotel) for over 15 years and know that this is not normal. Their only remedy was for me to go buy a pillow and "the general manager will refund you the $10 it cost in the morning."

After arguing with the front desk staff for 10 minutes, another staff member who must have overheard our discussion showed up with a pillow and fresh pillowcase.

In the end, the situation was remedied and I give kudos to the one staff member that stepped up. However, the drama that unfolded prior to that and the way I was made to feel like I was being irrational for requesting a pillow at 11pm is really unacceptable to me. After working in the industry for so long I always give hospitality workers the benefit of the doubt but I also know bad service when I see it.

Unless I get "wow'd" in the next 3 days of my stay, I will NOT be staying here again. If my stay improves then I will adjust my rating accordingly.

Nathan, Thanks for staying with us at the Fenwick Inn. It is a shame that a situation over a pillow got so out of hand. The front desk only stocks so many pillows per night at the desk. Once they run out, they are unable to hand anymore out. It was 11pm on a fully booked Saturday night, unfortunately that will happen. I am glad the housekeeper was able to find you a pillow though. I hope other than the pillow incident that you were able to enjoy your stay in our beautifully remodeled hotel. We spent a lot of time and money to bring our guests the best affordable accommodations in Ocean City MD.

Although the exterior looks pretty plain (large building surrounded by parking and roads), the interiors were very nice. The room was clean and attractive with King size bed, small sleeper sofa / love seat, desk, microwave, and mini-fridge. The bed was VERY comfortable. The staff was consistently polite and responsive.

We brought our dog. All guests with pets stay on the 2nd floor. There was some barking behind doors periodically. It was easy to walk down the fire stairs to walk the dog. In addition to the main streets there is a quiet neighborhood immediately behind the hotel which was convenient for walks.

The ground floor has free coffee and hot chocolate in a room off the lobby. There was also a small arcade for kids and a photo booth. We didn't use the indoor pool or hot tub, but they looked clean and were in use throughout the day.

The top floor has a small fitness center. There is also a restaurant and outdoor terrace with a great view of the ocean and the bay although these were closed due to COVID.

The location is as at very northern point of Ocean City and close to the Delaware line. The bus terminal for Ocean City buses is a couple of blocks away. The public beach is a block away. It is a very short drive to Fenwick Island State Park which has a section where dogs are permitted (on leash). Across the road from the State Park entrance is Coastal Kayak which rents boats / SUP's and offers group tours in Little Assawoman Bay and other locations.

We were there Monday-Friday during Ocean City's "Senior Week" after high school graduation (aka the "June Bugs"). Many families with teens and younger kids were in the hotel. We didn't experience any loud noise / partying / disruptions during our stay. Staff were aware of the potential however and told us to let them know if we were being disturbed by any loud group activity in the halls (there was none).

If we return to this area we will be happy to stay at the Fenwick Inn again.

I came here with my grandchildren and daughter first, the room was disgusting the "white" blankets were barely white on the edges w dirt stains. The bathroom had hair in back of the door on the floor which is unexcusable. There was trash behind the stand that held the tv..we could not use the pool either of our days here due to the fact the staff was utterly oblivious to the guests everynight in there drinking and partying. There was no one that seemed to give two craps about that...family hotel??? U mean party hotel. No one controlled the guests they could be as loud and as assanine as they wanted w no repircussions what so ever...they were fighting outside my window in back parkin lot. Just a complete disgusting disgrace of an experience.. no where to complain front desk people have no personality and dont care they are just bodies to perform a minimum level of customer servce to get this hotel by and to operate. Completely and utterly deplorable especially when you have to buy your own blankets because the ones on bed were filthy. This place should be closed down..
What a total waste of a space. You need training, visible management, and clean this damn place up, i mean if you do not care then hey you keep losing customers i know i will not be back

Just leaving this hotel. The housekeeping staff-phenomenal, hotel rooms were ok. We had rooms 333 and 336. The bed for us was uncomfortable. Food choices was really nice. Hotel needs to be updated. We lived like college kids but our teenager picked it out because she wanted to be able to split the cost with her friends. Beach umbrellas were only $12 and chairs $4 to rent. This was a plus. Whereas on 92nd street umbrellas are $20. Food was good. Go to Lizzies for the absolute best lobster rolls.

Loved our second stay at the newly renovated Fenwick Inn! Room was spacious and beds were comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They now have a continental breakfast, which we didn't really partake in. It consisted of oatmeal, fruit and a limited supply of muffins. There was also coffee and juice. I did appreciate the coffee being available any time of day. The pool was small but nice. It was open until ten and got VERY crowded in the evenings with small children. There are outside hoses to wash off sandy feet from the beach (which is a mere block away). Love the fact that the bus stop is right outside the hotel for venturing down to the boards. There were some yappy dogs that could be heard day and night, though we weren't on a pet friendly floor. Hopefully the rooftop restaurant opens back up. We look forward to visiting again.

Hi, This property is in North Ocean City away from the boardwalk area close to the Delaware line. You can ride the OC bus line for a single fare all day(just save the slip they hand you) or use the inlet parking. We've used both methods.
