The Hotel has been renovated and is Family and Pet friendly. Not a bad walk from the beach either. I would like to say that I would come back here but after experiencing the check in process and then leaving items there that I will likely never see again has made it clear to me that there is no point. I arrived at noon and the front office manager shared that it was too early to check in but that she could have me do the pre-check in documents and she would call me when the room was ready (never got a call). She pointed out that I booked a pet room and I asked if I could be moved to the 4th floor near Family friends that were in house. She said not a problem, she blocked me in the adjoining room which was 401 and that she would waive the pet fee. I booked the room through Chase rewards and no where on the room description did it say a "pet room". Considering my 3 year old and I are allergic to dogs, I was grateful for her efforts. I arrive back to the Hotel at 4 pm and there is a new shift at the desk. An older white women was the agent at the desk and she was being rude to someone on the phone that was clearly trying to talk to a manager. She stated "I'm sorry we don't give the number out, you can try and reach the manager tomorrow - call back" - she proceeded to hang up the phone and talk to me about how rude the person on the phone was and "5 calls to go over the same thing". She proceeds to pull up my reservation and say I am on the pet floor. I explained to her the earlier interaction but her response was that she saw the notes but the reservation was greyed out and she couldn't change anything. I asked if she could reach out to the FOM and she said no and that that is the room I booked and that is what I am going to get. By that point and based on what I experienced prior to her even talking to me, I decided to just smile, take my room key and go to the elevator. As I am standing by the elevator I over hear the front desk agent talking to another employee about me! Mind you I am standing with my 3 year old waiting for the elevator, a 3 yr old that has better manners. I said "excuse me, are you talking about me with me standing right here?" and the front desk agent jumped at the opportunity to confront me telling me she doesn't understand why I have a right to get upset when it's the room type I booked. I told her "I don't have a problem with you" to which she replied "why don't you go up to your room before I have a problem with you". If I did not have my daughter with me and single Momming it on this trip I would have called the cops on the spot as I take that as a physical threat of violence. The rest of the trip I listened to dogs bark like my room was in a dog kennel. It stunk on the pet floor and to top it off there was black hair in the bath tube in which I was suppose to bath my child (I am blonde). I know it is a struggle to get good help but this "catch me outside" trash that is working at your front desk ruined my entire trip and wasted $475 points on a one night stay. Cherry on top was that I left my daughter's favorite pillows in the room and I have been trying to contract the hotel for 2 days and nobody will answer the phone. I recommend you get a tent and camp out at Assateague island, save yourself the money, harassment and stress.…
I come to Ocean city every year. And every year I stay at the Fenwick! It's clean, the desk crew and other workers are so friendly, and front desk lady Audrey is the best! I love the renovations. I always stay in room 735. Only thing that I didn't like were the blinds, they let too much sun in and I'm a late sleeper. Bring back the curtains Please! Also what happened to the microwaves?
Outstanding and excellent very clean. Nice indoor pool. Comfortable beds bathroom was spotless and the employees were very helpful in many ways. I'd stay again and again reasonably priced. We had a superb time. 100 percent quality
We got a great deal and we're thrilled with the stay! They have updated everything! Room was clean and comfortable. Pool area was great, especially with the new splash pad. The room was not huge but our family of 4 fit nicely.
I used to come to Ocean City and stay at the Fenwick Inn with my family when I was a child. So many great memories here. I'm now a 43 year old father of two boys and wanted to make the same type of memories with them. Unfortunately, 4 hours after check-in I've already had a bad experience. After driving most of the day, we finally checked in around 8pm on June 26th. We went out for a bite to eat and then headed back to the room around 11pm to call it a night. We booked a one bedroom suite with a king size bed and a sleeper sofa for my oldest son. The sleeper sofa was not equipped with any pillows so I went down to the front desk (because the room phone was broken) and requested a pillow. I was told that the housekeeping manager keeps all of the pillows locked in his office and he would not be returning to the hotel until the next morning. Instead they offered to stuff a blanket into a pillowcase for me. A four night stay with an average nightly rate of $321/night, not having a pillow for my son's bed was not acceptable to me and I don't think I was being irrational or difficult. My frustration was met with disgust from the front desk staff with a perceived attitude that this was normal for a hotel. Instead of working towards an acceptable solution I was met with, "why did you wait until 11pm to ask for a pillow?" I have worked in hospitality (including a hotel) for over 15 years and know that this is not normal. Their only remedy was for me to go buy a pillow and "the general manager will refund you the $10 it cost in the morning." After arguing with the front desk staff for 10 minutes, another staff member who must have overheard our discussion showed up with a pillow and fresh pillowcase. In the end, the situation was remedied and I give kudos to the one staff member that stepped up. However, the drama that unfolded prior to that and the way I was made to feel like I was being irrational for requesting a pillow at 11pm is really unacceptable to me. After working in the industry for so long I always give hospitality workers the benefit of the doubt but I also know bad service when I see it. Unless I get "wow'd" in the next 3 days of my stay, I will NOT be staying here again. If my stay improves then I will adjust my rating accordingly.…
Me and my husband had our best stay in this hotel. The room is clean in room 304. The staffs are very kind and hospitable and we recieve beautiful smile on their face when we arrive in the hotel. It exceeded my expectations! Great Job Fenwick Inn! Recommended this place!
They did renovations to the entire place, looks a lot different. Husband and I enjoyed the rooms. Halls look larger. A lot better than before. My 2 kids enjoyed the splash pad, the water dumps from the boat every minute or so. Overall very nice trip. Clean. Check in was easy our room was ready early , and staff was very kind! See you in August!
Friendly staff, quiet room, excellent sleep. Perfect indoor pool and hot tub temperatures. Card for 10% off a future stay. Quiet northern end. My husband find an indoor pool and hot tub very relaxing. Few places have a pool that is warm enough, and hot tubs are often too hot. These were perfect. Even with our room conveniently by the elevator, it was very quiet and we had an excellent night's sleep. We will make this our annual place to stay.
We have enjoyed our stay in Fenwick Hotel in Ocean City. It was my first time visiting Maryland and had a nice time there. Food was really good, staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. It’s a good hotel specially for the price. I would go back.
Fenwick is a standard, cheaper beach hotel, but was still a nice stay. Husband and I had a weekend stay, bed was comfortable and room was clean. Front desk staff were all very pleasant and accommodating.
