When we arrived at the hotel we were given our room we went directly to the room. First problem : when we tried to open the door it was very difficult. Seems they had put some new card reader system on the door and didn't fit it properly. My 9-year-old son couldn't open the door. Problem number two : in room safe was not operational. Problem number three : The patio door was hard to open my wife and nine-year-old son could not open it. Later that night the patio door became unoperational nobody could open it.Talk to maintenance about making the repairs they came the next day which was great but. Whatever lubrication they used on the patio door was very obnoxious and made my wife ill. My wife asked several times to be moved which they would would not do. Finally at 10:30 p.m. that night they got us another room and we got to move to a new room. Pretty much the same problem with the entrance door sticking The in room safe again didn't work. in our room was supposed to be a kitchenette which was supposed to be fully stocked which it was not. For the money that we paid we should have gotten much better service and a much better room. Very disappointed.

Pretty much what you except at an older Quality Inn. Nothing fancy, but good size rooms, clean, and decent breakfast (though you have to take it with you for now). The hotel staff is very friendly, and the location just a block from the beach is terrific. This hotel is right on the border of OC and Fenwick so good can visit both. Good size pool with a outdoor bar attached. Hotel was not over crowded mid-week. I got a very good rate so for me this was worth it over staying at a higher rated place for $100/night more. Not quite 4 stars but if i could give it 3.5 I could.

Loved this hotel! My family wanted a hotel out of the hustle and bustle of the city that was reasonably priced. This hotel fit that perfectly. It is located in Ocean City, yet it is on the outskirts, so you avoid the noise and the crowds while still being near everything you would need for all ages (beach, restaurants, mini golf). The hotel has a bar/restaurant and an outdoor pool as well. The room is clean and spacious, and hotel staff is very friendly. I plan to stay again on future visits. Tip: The main road nearby can be loud at night due to constant traffic. Run the fan through the night and you’ll have no problem sleeping with minimal noise.

For $220 a night I expected much better. This hotel should’ve been $100 a night. The bathroom on the first level outside of the pool/tiki bar was disgusting. Pee, toilet paper, and dirt everywhere. The pool was PACKED, even if we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic it was entirely over capacitated. It wasn’t super large in size to begin with, and there were at least 50 people in the pool, 35 of them being small kids. I’m not one of those people that has been in a huge uproar about the whole mask/social distancing thing, but there was absolutely no Covid precautions whatsoever at that pool. We walked into the room and there was something sticky on the tile part of the floor. To flush the toilet, you had to hold the handle all the way down for about 45 seconds, every single time. Shower could have been more clean. There was big, moldy spots all over the ceiling. I did not see any bugs but I did not feel like the bedding was very clean. Air conditioner worked great but was extremely loud and woke us up every time it kicked on in the night. Hallway smelled like weed every single night. Just take your money elsewhere, this place was wayyyyy too expensive for what we got. It just wasn’t clean. I will not stay here again.

Clean rooms/ a free breakfast every day/ heated pool everyone was courteous. We used to stay here all the time when our children were young, Over 30 some years ago. We were only able at our age right now to afford 3 nights. Had so much fun This was our first vacation in over 7 years. Love it in Ocean City, Md. Very highly recommend to stay at the Econolodge Oceanblock. The beach was so nice.
