The rooms were beautiful, VERY clean, and the bed was comfortable. We came for a wedding in west Ocean City, it was a tropical storm, and they still were open. The view from the veranda room was gorgeous, even in a storm. The owners/staff were lovely and friendly. We would definitely stay here again. If we cane with the whole family I would look to rent an apartment at the adjacent BeachWalk property. (Same owners). Clearly they have high standards.

We stayed for a week and we’re completely disappointed. The only positive things are: location - right on the boardwalk and the beach, with plenty of restaurants around it. The inn provides beach chairs and towels - which is very convenient. Besides that, unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about Inn on the ocean.Bed and Breakfast definition assumes a place which is known for extra hospitality, more personal service, as well as hot cooked meal prepared in the morning and little extras to make the stay more enjoyable.Well, it’s not a case here. The staff is ok, but they really don’t care much about you, you can only ask them questions in the morning because there is no one there in the afternoon. The place is very old outdated and needs major cleaning. We stayed in the Hunt room and it was horrible. The room is dirty, you really don’t want to look behind the sink and on the floors. The shower is the worst I’ve ever seen. I’m an average size person, but I had hard time trying to fit in the shower, and it’s super old. It shouldn’t probably cost more than $30 or so to put a basic shower head, why can’t they at least change the shower? The breakfast was awful, prepackaged bagel and muffins, banana and apples, the same everyday. Oh, and they boiled eggs in bulk, which doesn’t make them that fresh. I got an egg and it had dusty grey yolk, which usually appears when egg is not fresh or was boiled a week ago. And please don’t use Covid pandemic as an excuse. We stayed in bed and breakfast in Cape Cod last summer in the midst of pandemic surge, and had amazing hot breakfast each morning with proper precautions taking by staff. You can’t get cup of tea or coffee after breakfast here, so if you want a night cup, walk on the boardwalk and find a place to buy a cup of tea in the evening. Oh, by the way, there is no iron in this bed and breakfast ,so bring your own from home. The place doesn’t feel like bed and breakfast, it feels like cheap motel, where owner just wants to make money and doesn’t care about the guests. It’s a perfect location for restaurants and the beach, but there are plenty of other options around here where you can have more pleasant experience.

Our three day golf trip was almost a wash out due to a nasty storm, but our gracious host Vicki came to the rescue with delicious freshly baked cookies for us as we spent an afternoon watching the storm that cancelled our golf round. After an amazing breakfast the next morning, we were able to play golf. Our get-away was made memorable with “The Inn on the Ocean” making it special. Vicki - thank you for the comfortable accommodations and the best in hospitality! Sincerely, Pennsylvania Golf Ladies

Dear Golf Ladies, It was such a pleasure to meet you and we hope you will come back soon for more golfing, storm watching and nibbling. We really appreciate your comments and taking the time to tell others about your experience. We are having a golf special - stay two nights and get the third night free. Can you come?

We came down for the car show, but wanted something a little different than a hotel. Wow were we impressed. I am not a breakfast person, but ohhh my amazing breakfasts, coffee ready when I got up. The view of the boardwalk from the porch is amazing. Vickie, Charlie are wonderful hosts. Thank you so much look forward to coming back.

We have stayed at Inn on the Ocean 3 times now and cannot imaging going anywhere else. The rooms are charming. The atmosphere is delightful. The breakfasts are to die for. Once you stay there you are part of a family. Vicki and Charlie are the greatest. Sitting on that porch is the most relaxing enjoyable experience of our summers.

This is our second year staying at Inn on the Ocean. The owners make you feel like you never left home. The location is wonderful. The Inn provides anything you will need so you pack lighter than you normally would. The rooms are comfortable and cozy. The breakfast in the mornings are good and fills you up for a day on the beach. Most relaxing vacation we have ever experienced. Hearing the ocean from your room is a bonus. We have met great people that shared the Inn with us and felt like being around an adult crowd that enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of a bed and breakfast and felt safe knowing doors were not being kept unlocked or loud partying going late into the night. That is probably our greatest compliment of the Inn. The quiet and safety! The only con is not towards the Inn but of the city not banning the loud cars and disruption of those allowed to ride up and down coastal highway harassing those that are on vacation on this particular weekend. Even with this we will still continue to go as long as they will have us back.

The warm and welcoming experience will have us coming back again. Vicki's breakfast are to die for. The beach is front and center and the boardwalk has everything you could possibly want. The innkeeper Ken is extremely helpful and makes sure you have a great time. This was a three generation girls trip. I've been staying at B&Bs for many years and have never once returned to to the same place twice. Vicki we are coming back for those corn pancakes. Laura, Lexi & Chris
