I have stayed at many oceanfront motels and hotels and the Econolodge really surprised me. I didn’t have an opportunity to take advantage of any of the amenities but the room was clean. You can tell they try hard to maintain the property. Overall I think you’ll be very comfortable if you are not super picky. There are several areas that show multiple repairs have been made. The carpet, bathroom, linens, bed were all very clean. I loved the bed and pillows, really soft and I slept well.

Location is the best thing I could say about this hotel. Large spacious rooms. First floor view of the ocean was top notch. However, the shower was disappointing (no water pressure) and the service was subpar. No room service due to Covid19 (um it's April 2022, the emergency is over). We asked for trash removal and got a new garbage bag (hanging from door knob) in return. This hotel fits the classic saying "you get what you pay for"!

Booked a two bed family room on the top floor for this trip. The fridge in the room was switched off when we arrived, (presumably to save electricity/ money?) and we were told it was working but could take up to 4 hours to get to a reasonably cold temperature. Why wasn't it switched on by staff prior to our arrival? The bed sheets did have a couple of little stains but the bed was swiftly remade when we asked for it. The safe in the room for your valuable is not included in the price and will be charged for its use on a daily basis. We decided not to use it at all because of this. The breakfast included in the price was very basic and the breakfast area was tiny. Most people took their food back to their room. The room itself was basic but acceptable for our use and the balcony facing the beach was ideal. we didn't like the fact that privacy was limited from the room next door. Indoor and outdoor pools both seemed adequate and clean enough although there could have been more pool towels available at the indoor site. The hotel staff were pleasant, approachable and responsive to our requests and seemed to be content at work. The hotel is in a transition period, having just been bought over and renamed, but the owners/ management need to do better and put more money and time into this property. I hope to see improvements in the coming time, or the quality inn will be just a name and not a claim. Despite anything else, we did enjoy our stay here and I would recommend it, and hope to read the reviews of others who have stayed there this year.

Please avoid this hotel if you want to enjoy the beach! Thankfully we were only visiting for two nights. We were joined by nine other guests and no one was satisfied with their room or service. I understand that we should expect less service due to the pandemic; however, I was at least hoping the rooms would have been cleaned prior to arrival. The fridge in our room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks or a month. There was hair all over the the bathroom that surely didn't belong to me or my family. It looked as if the mop used to clean was either soiled or no sweeping was done prior to mopping. It's obviously that the cleaning staff know that supervisors aren't checking behind their work so they are milking the system. I've been to hotels in the midst of COVID-19 and had way better experiences. The mattresses were uncomfortable and the sleeper sofa was the same. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Pros: Location, friendly repairman, 2 pools, price.

Cons: Filthy, many broken items.

Bathroom was the absolute worst I have ever seen. Long dark hairs on every white surface. I can't imagine anyone cleaning could not see them. Sofa bed was broken and sheets were dirty with pieces of cereal. Caramel corn and crumbs in between broken fridge and cabinet. Melted ice cream or something on the balcony. Air conditioner points directly at the head board of one of the beds. I didn't post any pics of the hairs because they make you want to vomit. Our fridge was not working properly, I called the desk and they replaced it the next day almost 24 hours later. Even after several complaints, there were no apologies or attempts to make things right. I get that there is no in room cleaning during your stay under current conditions, but the place obviously is not cleaned up to standard between stays.

It was a big disappointment the hotel was very creepy with the price i paid and i have to request 3 times for a better room and still not clean and the noise road with old elevator created a lot of noise and on the booking shows ocean front but gave us another room next to the old elevator even i told the front desk i am very senseless to the noise and he still put me to one of the worst room and than the other staff moved us away from elevator but the room full of dust and the toilet is yellow and bath tube has mold and cause me sneezing all the time. I ended up cleaning myself . And they left the vacuum outside the hallway and the trash everywhere in the elevator or in the lobby? Breakfast is cold without egg and beacon only muffins! Gee its a worst hotel i have ever been to and its not cheap either

I had planned a weekend trip and drove through the night to get there and after arriving the person working stated that my room had been cancelled. The person working stated that the person that cancelled the room had called and left a message but I got no message about this and was told there were no rooms available and the general manager wouldn't be there until 8am and it was 6am at this time. I was also told that housekeeping would not be there until later to clean rooms. After the worker was informed that we had driven through night after working an 8 hour shift at work he then stated that he still could not do anything for us but talk to the general manager. I had also informed the hotel the day prior that we would not be arriving until after midnight and between 5-7am and not to cancel the room which they did later that day. After being told nothing could be done for at least 2 hours we decided to leave and come back to talk to the general manager but later decided against it and went to another hotel who had rooms immediately available to check into. No follow up email was sent from this hotel to verify cancelling.

I rented this room with a few friends the Sunday we were leaving Ocean City to have a room we change out of our beach clothes in and to cool down from a hot beach day. That night after we left the hotel and drove 4 hours home I realized I left my wallet in the hotel room. Clearly it is very difficult for me to drive all the way back to Ocean City during the work week. I contacted the hotel and they were able to ship the wallet to me via UPS and I had it by the end of the week. I want to especially thank managers Noah, Eric and Donnie who all worked as a team to help me get back my wallet. You are all lifesavers!

The outdoor pool area was disgusting. Seagulls were in and beside the pool so the area was covered in bird poop. Neighboring hotels had pools in the same area but there were no birds in their pool areas. The vents in the hallway were rusty, dirty and looked to be black mold around them. Mini fridge in our room was rusty as well. We didn’t attempt to even use the indoor pool as it looked cloudy and you could smell the chlorine from outside.

Yes but there are 2 buildings. You do not want to stay in the lot facing building, it is disgusting.
