Our extended family booked two cabins in September during the off season. Even though the water park was closed, there was still plenty to do. It was great fun swimming in the pool, letting the kids use the playground, and fish or go crabbing off the dock. In my opinion, don't waste your money on a golf cart rental. Everything is easily within walking distance. As for the cabin, having two separate bedrooms was very convenient. Honestly the beds and futon were not very comfortable, so I would recommend bringing a bunkie with you to place under the mattress. We appreciated having a private bathroom, a kitchen, and a large front porch. Please see the attached photos for the plateware and cooking tools that were in the kitchen. There was also a drawer with utensils and steak knives.

Property's Favorite Review
This was our first year at this campground. We came for a little weekend birthday trip for my daughter; stayed from may 20th-23rd. We had so much fun!! We had a tent site that was right beside the playground & pool with a wonderful view of the marina. Although, we came while the water park was closed there was more than enough to do that the kids didn’t even notice. Our site was perfect for us. The cleanliness of the bathrooms were remarkable; I really want to applaud the staff for this! We never had trouble with reservations, checking in or reaching staff by the phone as I’ve read in some reviews; everyone we interacted with was friendly and attentive. Commuting to ocean city and assateague island was a breeze! The only negative/disappointing thing that happened, which is no fault of the campground, was our first night (a Thursday) 2 adult men drank too much and started to fight each other, a lot of words were exchanged and no one was hurt, hopefully just their egos when they woke up in the morning realizing they need to control themselves better especially in a family environment. Security stepped in promptly and checked on my family throughout the night. There were no issues for the rest of our stay. Although that wasn’t a pleasant welcoming, scared my kids, and I was pretty anxious the rest of the night . All in all we had a blast and I believe we will be making this a yearly visit.

Great place to camp with kids, good shows that are going daily, and hourly from noon to 7pm, it can be hard to find the shows so I recommend asking, since each show is at a different location on the property. The water park was nice, had slides, lazy river, splash pad and small pool area for kids. The property was nice and clean, workers driving around continuously to keep an eye on things which was great. The bathrooms are not bad, in the main area they are a bit older, shower stalls with curtains. They seemed to be cleaned regularly. There's an outpost there which has food, snacks, ice, firewood, some camp.gear and adult drinks. I would highly recommend this place and plan on coming back. My only issue was the wifi barely if ever worked, which was frustrating, but in the end was...OK, as it did allow us to disconnect from electronics while here.

See my review of Fronter town. Same place, different name but just as bad. I would go to Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park instead of this place any day. The pool was clean and the staff was vert nice but that is the only nice thing I can say about this place

We was on GG 09! We went to the boardwalk and came back and notice the next morning and notice damage to our camper! After walking around to neighbors and asking if they seen anything they said a golf cart parade was on Saturday and the golf carts was going in and out of sites! They heard the noise but couldn’t identify the driver of cart! I contact security and they said someone woukd be in contact with me from managemnt! After almost two weeks the call and will not do nothing about it now we stuck with $3350 in damages!

We made reservations a year in advance for 5 families, 2 had RVs and the remaining families rented the on site RVs. The air conditioner in the rentals was poor, never got below 76 degrees, sometimes failed to work at all and needed maintenance to come. An inconvenience, to say the least, with small children. We had kids ranging in age from 2 years to 9 and the main reason we visited was for the waterpark. The previous year, our 6 year olds were able to go on the big slides and they were VERY disappointed that the rules changed from 42 in height to 48 in requirement. We were never notified of the change and half of our party couldn’t enjoy the slides! A VERY BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!

It was hard rating this because overall we had a nice time at the campground, however... as most stated the prices were very high! My issue is they have a quite hour from 10pm to 8am BUT at 7:15am on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings there is a garbage truck that roars thru the camp ground and emptys these 500lb metal containers and smashes them against their truck! Picture being woke up to aloud VVVRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOMMMMMMM(big truck engine) then BANG BANG BANG! (them slamming the heavy metal dumpsters against the truck. This haappens at 3 different locations in about 20 minutes ALL DURING THEIR QUITE HOURS???? Honestly a horrible way to wake up! And if I had children sleeping I would have been beating on the managers door because it was that loud!

It is a nice location, but staff seems extremely short now. No one answers any phones, not front desk, not store, not reservations, nothing. I had to resort to calling their emergency number after days of calling. We came last year and returned this year. They are barely at 50% capacity now. The place is empty….maybe because of the prices going through the roof? Maybe because of gas? Honestly I don’t know, but I know it’s not like it was before. Pool is closed at 6 now, mini golf says open til 8, but at 7 it’s closed.

I’ve stayed in their deluxe cabin several times while attending Poochpalooza, which is held on site. I was incredibly disappointed this year. First, prices went up A LOT. I know everything has gone up, but the place has gone downhill with the new owners. The $25 fee to “lock in” your site is just money grabbing. My cabin E29, was the only one in that section that had a lake for a front yard! I almost needed waders to unpack the car. Why they would give me this cabin when there were plenty of empty ones where the water wasn’t ponding was very disappointing. There was also no internet service during my entire visit and the dimmer switch didn’t work, so it was bright lights or no lights! The only number they give you is an emergency number because they don’t want to hear any complaints. I finally found the front office number and they did send someone who told me they were having problems with the internet. He said the lightbulbs probably weren’t dimmer bulbs, but didn’t replace them. Oh, and bring hand soap because they don’t provide that. I understand you need to bring your own towels and linens, but I didn’t bring soap. I will never stay here again. Sad

We have been coming here since 2014 and while the rates were high ($90 nightly for water and electric) we still came every summer. But now, the same sites are almost $200 nightly. It's a shame Sun Outdoors bought this campground and ruined it!!
