We went to ocean city and was referee here by a close friend and I'm so glad my friend connected us with Amy and long acres the cottage was beautiful and more then what we could of asked for and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and wants and dropped everything they were doing when we needed help or had questions. The location was awesome! Our cottage was right off the river and we were even able to grill right there off the river and enjoy our meal on the river while our kids played on the playground and volleyball/basket ball courts they even had paddle boards and kyaks on site to use. As well as fishing and crabbing right on the property.I could keep going on about this place but I would just say you need to go there and see for yourself. The last thing I will say is me and my family won't stay anywhere else other the long acres motels and cottages from now on…
Except for slightly nostalgic 1960's setting, a truly awful motel. Do not stay here... money first. No service, shady staff and owner. Horrible mattresses, Tiny room and bath with black mold later discovered in shower stall. 1970's window-unit dysfunctional AC. Relatively clean with air deodorizer under the bed - nice! :/ Great potential horribly underutilized.
We stood on the second floor on 7/27-7/29 in a 2 queen bed- room. The beds were a bit too lumpy for me but the others didn't mind it. The room/bathroom smell clean upon arrival but the floor felt like it had not been swept or mopped. On the second day we asked for it to me swept/mopped it was much better. The only other issue was tiny ants along the wall by the AC and the nightstand. This place has alot of charmed with all it's simplicity. The Motel is perfectly located on rt. 50 in Ocean City. Even perfectly located if you needed to take rt. 90 to cross over to the middle of Ocean City. The pool and the outdoor property were always clean. The room served it purpose for our girls weekend getaway. I would choose this motel again if I visit OC.
Not a big reviewer, but this place is worth a mention. As a result of a strange series of events, we ended up here on a weekend night during peak season, after having found ourselves with no place to pitch our tent for our short stay, and having been given incorrect information by our planned location. This far exceeded our expectations for the price, location, service and all the rest during a very busy weekend on what could have been a stressful night. This place is basic in the best sense - hot water, a/c, a warm pool, nice people, a reasonable price, clean, with all the basics - microwave, tv, mini-fridge, and a tub. There's a drying line in the shower, super helpful, and shampoo/soap, also helpful. It was clean, and Ruth and Lukas were terrific. Two suggestions would be the location of tv was odd in our room for one of the two beds, and a mini coffee pot would have been a five. It's super close to the beach, and not a complicated route. Didn't explore, but would be first on my list to book for a return to see the water and such.…
Room (1- Queen Bed) was small but comfortable. Some reviews mentioned the rooms were outdated, I would agree, but more importantly they were Clean. In fact upon checking in, one of the girls with housekeeping asked us if we were happy with the cleanness of the room. Nice grounds, quiet, pleasant staff. Good price, would have no problem going back. Adirondack chairs on dock to sit and enjoy the water view, which I did in the morning and at night. Very relaxing! Since it is a couple of miles before the bridge over to the main section of Ocean City, there is much less congestion, and a nice reprieve from the crowds & noise. Also just to note, even though they should do some updating in the rooms, the room we had, had flooring instead of carpet which is so much smarter in terms of keeping clean & sanitary.…
My wife and I recently booked an anniversary camping trip on Assateague Island. After experience treacherous weather the first night and nearly being blown of the island from the wind and rain the following morning, we were desperate for a warm bed and some sunshine. After calling around the ocean city area, we ended up choosing this place due to the warm heart we felt of the sweet, old lady, Ruth, who owns it and the great low prices! Not expecting much of a motel, we were astounded by the beauty of the property, although I will say the rooms were pretty outdated but clean. Aside from the quality of the room, it felt like we were at a lake resort, with lakeside grilling, kayaking, and other outdoor activities on site. And I have to mention the owner again... Ruth was EXTREMELY friendly and was our Ray of Sunshine after the hell we just experienced. She saw we needed help and she reached out to help us. Its people like her that make this world a better place and we cant thank you enough for the service and the love that you gave us! I highly recommend this motel as long as you are not the type that needs a 5 star hotel!…
Stayed there summer 2017. Loved the retro feel of our cabin. Nice grounds with river, pool, Bbq area, etc. Easy drive into Ocean City or to Assateague to see the wild horses. The cabin is a bit rustic but we liked it.
We would leave early and return late so It was ok for a place to sleep for a night. The office closes at 10 pm so if you have a problem you have to be there by 10. Wouldn't want to spend time in the room, it is very small and outdated. Had ant problem, they were all over the floor and on the nightstand. It was because there were open spaces around the door where they were coming in. I sprayed insect repellant that I had with me. Had a no vacancy sign so I knew changing rooms was not an option. The clothes rack fell of the wall. There was only a lock on the door knob, no deadbolt or security latch. For $160 a night I expected a cleaner room. When I checked out the desk clerk didn't ask how our stay was so I figured she didn't want to know. 눇the location was good. the grounds are nice.…
Staying at this wonderful motel is like stepping back in time. The owners are wonderful and welcome guests as family. Beautiful dock with comfortable chairs, swimming pool, half court basketball, volleyball, picnic benches, grills (with needed tools!), lots of relaxing green space - and all a short drive away from the boardwalk. Many years ago stayed in one of the cottages with my young family. Loved it then and love it now. Created a new beautiful memory with my adult daughter.
My husband and I stayed here a couple of years ago for our anniversary. Since we were going on the July 4th weekend, the rates were just right. The check in was extremely pleasant. The older lady at the front desk was like a mom. I could have sat and talked to here all day. The location was perfect for us. Out of the hustle and bustle of OC, but only about a 20 minute drive and about 40 min to Assateague. The grounds were lovely, with a basketball court, a lake, picnic area and kayaks to rent at a very minimal charge. The whole place seems to be run by a family and has a homey feel. Also, service was good. Now, we can get to why I only gave this a 3..... the room was bad. Very outdated and the air conditioner was so loud it was hard to sleep at night. They really need to update their rooms, but I sure they know this. It helps that everyone working there is super friendly. P.S. we actually traveled there in July 2015 but the drop down selection box would not allow me to put that date in. Things might be much different there by now.…
