Location was perfect. Didn’t have the room we booked but we were at the beach, so who cares. Staff was great! Thanks Dave for the extra time in the pool. Beach and boards are always a good time. Place is outdated but not a big deal. Parking was an issue. Not enough to let it ruin my vaca. Will be back
Do Not Stay Here! We made reservations 3 months early and paid. We booked a larger room for our daughters to join us. When we arrived, they gave us a smaller room with less beds. When we pointed out our reservation, basically the desk clerk and Manager said "Tough - We have the room you booked but due to a scheduling error, we would have to move too many people this weekend (we booked a week long stay)". He refunded the price difference, but that was it. He seemed very nonchalant and bored about the whole thing. We have been coming to the Majestic for years. The rooms are old and decrepit and the bathrooms are moldy, but the friendly staff and nice porch on the Boardwalk has made it worthwhile. We learned from a fellow guest ( and confirmed by newspaper) that the previous owners sold the Majestic this Spring. This new management is apparently screwing up and is running a borderline fraudulent operation. Stay Away!…
The rooms have been freshly painted and updated. They have everything u need for kitchen pots pans silverware. The beds aren't that comfy but all in all the rooms where very spacious and nice. The pool is amazing and very clean. Very big . It's located behind building.
Absolutely disgusted with this whole entire experience. This was one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. To advertise as a 3 star hotel is fraudulent. Noise, mold, dampness, and bugs are just some of the reasons why my family and I will never return here or recommend this hotel. The entire staff was rude. This hotel needs a makeover, but until then spend the extra money elsewhere. The pool and location are the only decent things for them to use as advertisement.
We stayed on the second floor for $370/night. The bathroom ceiling had extensive water damage due to neglectful maintenance. Mold & odor was evident. One would get rained on while using the toilet. The ceiling/tile had become so wet that it fell on my child who was sitting on the closed toilet seat while putting on his shoes. I reported this to the manager named RACHEL who didn’t answer us and dismissed this claim when we reported this concern due to potential for injury. She and another female housekeeper laughed at us. At that point I demanded a full refund which was denied. I am appalled. Little does RACHEL know that I am a nurse who works closely with the health department in regards to health & safety. Should have given me a refund when I asked for it. Now I’ll just continue to put RACHEL on blast as she deserves. Majestic hotel, why would you continue to employ someone like this? You will never get my business again and I will continue to share this story far and wide.…
The Majestic Hotel is, hands down, the worst place I’ve ever stayed. We booked the hotel thinking we wouldn’t be in the room much anyway but, it turned out to be a rainy weekend so we spent more time in the room than anticipated. The microwave had what looked like mold on top of it, the refrigerator was filthy, the floors were soggy and weak AND there was literal blood splatter on the shower ceiling. Then, the ceiling sprung a leak right over the bed so my friend was literally soaked when she woke up. They “fixed” the leak with a beer funnel and pool noodle (have pictures) and then, just a little bit later, the ceiling sprung another leak. They had a very lackadaisical attitude about the whole thing so we decided we would just go to another hotel, which we did. They said they would refund us for the stay, however changed their mind at some point, called us liars about the water dripping on the bed although the leak was directly over the bed, and when we argued the point they called the police, as we were packing up to leave, and said we were not leaving, resulting in 4 police officers showing up and us being trespassed from the property. Trust me, we have zero desire to go back!! The police officers seemed to think the place was a joke, which it is! Don’t stay here!!…
This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Only stayed one night because our rental we had ended and wanted to stay one more night as we live 3 hours away. It all started with the two boys who checked us in. Their condescending attitude was outrageously rude. They should not be working at a hotel. My fault for not looking up reviews before choosing this place. As we walked up to our room— it smelled like a church that was built 30 years ago. So outdated. No upgrades. We get into our room and a STRONG stench of bleach is lingering from the bathroom. The “carpet” or whatever you wanna call it that we walked on felt damp and dirty. The remote control for the TV was greasy. Not to mention there’s no cable. Just an option to sign into Netflix or Hulu. There were stains all over the microwave and refrigerator. The dusty curtains were touching the bare pillow we sleep on at night. The shower water pressure actually hurt because of how the water came out of the shower head. The list goes on. Thank goodness we brought our own sheets. The only positive thing I can say is that when we had no where to park— the ONLY kind man at the desk let us park in handicapped parking. Other than that.. I wouldn’t come back. Ever. I learned my lesson. …
This place is not clean. Towels had stains on them. There was mold in our room. The ceiling looked like it could fall on you. Floor so dirty. Microwave and Fridge rusty. So disappointed. Scared to sleep in bed. Left did not stay the night. Not even a 1 rate.
The floors were not swept before check in, the mirror had finger prints all over it, one of the worst things was there was white powder all over the tv. The shower was also disgusting and looked like it was practically taped back together with putty. I finished showering and went to grab a towel and it was all covered in black and had red spots on it. I was scared to sleep in the beds after seeing everything else and just wanted to leave. Also when checking in, the bathroom was not restocked of toilet paper and there was an open unwrapped soap that was wet sitting on the sink.
The apt was very dirty and out dated had mold through out apt bathroom was not cleaned health department should be notified of the conditions will never returned. It's a shame cause location is great I love Ocean City so I will have to find another place to stay
