This hotel is in a great location....and that is about it! There were two younger people that worked during the day that were nice and the what seem to a manager that was so terrible. We checked in a guy that appeared to be new was super nice and the manager was training him. The manager was not friendly at all and seemed to be bothered by any question that was asked....we were asking where to park which should have actually been covered while checking in. The hotel is old and dingy. We got to our room and the toilet had never been cleaned. We told the manager and he did have it cleaned before we got back. The elevator broke one of the nights we were there. We inquired at the front desk and the guy didnt even turn around to answer our question and grunted is response. I read the reviews AFTER i stayed here and they were all pretty much like this so I guess I shouldnt take it personal. Oh well!!!

Hotel Majestic is one of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. My boyfriend and his friends took a quick trip to Ocean City and weren't ready to leave, so we booked at the last minute. The hotel itself has a cute front porch with rocking chairs and it is a prime location on the beach. It's close to lots of restaurants and convenient stores, and a short ride to the boardwalk. That's where the pros of staying here end. The building itself is really old. Some people find it charming- I am not one of those. In my opinion isn't old world elegance type charm- it's just old and needs updating. The elevator was out the entire time so we had to walk up and down 4 flights of stairs. The room itself was very musty (room 416) and very small. Some of the paint from the walls were peeling and the bathroom sink was pretty scratched up and the phone in the room also didn't work. This hotel is so bad, they made us sign an agreement that we wouldn't cancel the room after opening entering, that should tell you how bad it is. Smh. The worst part was the customer service. Check out time is at 11 am. At 10:50 am, housekeeping pounded on our door, loudly and said you have 10 minutes to leave your room. My boyfriends friend opened the door and asked (1) why was she yelling and (2) any was she rude - she charged at him and started yelling at him in his face and threatened to report him to the front desk. We shared our concerns (because the other patrons on the floor experienced the same disrespect from the housekeeper) and the front dest did not care - they didn't even apologize. I will never ever stay at this disgusting of a hotel again. I would rather pay more (and I am cheap) elsewhere for a better experience. You've been warned.

The odor was the first clue. The room was so small two people had difficulty passing each other. Water stains in the ceiling from roof leakage. The bathroom door was so warped it wouldn't close. The medicine cabinet was rusted out. The Air conditioner was leaning out of the wall. It appeared it would fall to the deck 4 stories below at any moment. Parking was atrocious. There were no screens in any of the windows, so opening the window was out of the question. This is just some of the many low lights of our stay. As for service I didn't get to see any of that, because there wasn't any. There is nothing I liked about this hotel, and it was way over priced. If there was a negative score I would have choose that. Had I thought they cared enough I would have asked for my money back.
