Extremely disappointed! Upon arrival the lobby is extremely infested with flies. Checkin was at 4, but I didn’t get checked into my room until 630 so I was forced to sit around and wait. Other guest facing the same issue were compensated for a full night in front of me, but I was just given a note to allow extra time to check out.
Staff were extremely friendly, hotel was really clean. We even got an ocean view room! We will definitely be staying here next time we’re looking for a hotel in oc! Can’t beat this place. Location is amazing too.
Upon arriving we were pleasant surprised. The front desk attendant Tonya was amazing. We were checked in very fast. But when we got to our room everything changed the Beds where not changed from the last guest. The floors still had Doritos and other food on them. There was small particals of pot on the tv stand along with the top of a cigar wrapper. But it gets worse , when we entered our bathroom there was a used cup in the trash can and PEE ALL OVER THE TOLIET. as it had not been cleaned. When we went down the the desk Tonya informed us she was doing a audit and couldn’t do anything for us she was alone that night an was doing a audit. After waiting a while we were given a temp room til the next morning by this time it was 3 am. When we finally got our old room back the next day at around 2 pm it still was not clean to our standards so we cleaned it ourself as we could not find another hotel . We then went to the beach for a bit and the hotel included 2 beach chairs when we went to return them the guy was not there to take them back he had left with the key card to our room that we had to leave with him. This key card was never returned to us. Later that evening when we got back again our bathroom was used an PEE WAS ON THE SEAT AGAIN . We again went to the desk and to our shock we were given cleaner to clean it. Not ever offered to have someone come clean it for us. Obviously a employee is not doing what they are suppose to and using guest room bathrooms. Not that the hotel would have told you that. Now let’s get to parking we paid for VIP PARKING BUT THERE WAS ALWAYS A CAR IN OUR SPOT . As for social distancing there was not one employee controlling the limit in the pools when we went in there to swim there was already 14 people in there. To say the least this hotel is not up to any standards. We repeatedly let them know my concerns and they were continually ignored and blamed on lack of employees because of covid. ONLY GOOD THING THIS HOTEL HAS IS TONYA. I will be contacting management for a full refund of my stay. And never will stay here again.…
Ms. Tanya was a big help in assisting me on getting my room and helping me with other services needed. Great place to stay as well as a helpful room service that made sure my room was neat and ready to check in once i arrived.
My golf group recently stayed here (off season) after being moved from another Bluewater property. This was our first time here and it was typical of what I've come to expect to expect in OC. There were clean rooms and a great view. The layout of the rooms was a little different with the bed right by the door, but this was no big deal. What was surprising was how accommodating and friendly the staff was. We interacted with 6 different people during our stay, and every one of them was incredibly friendly and pleasant to speak with. They always asked in we needed anything, and gave us tickets to an event at the Aloft.
