My wife and I stayed here on our trip from Boston to NC and again on the way back. We choose this hotel because it's conveniently located and dog friendly.

Like a number of other reviewers, I chose this place for a quick overnight to break up a long drive -- Washington, DC to West Point, NY, in this case. Got there late, tired and frazzled, got a warm welcome and a lovely room, and...More
They’re building an elevator!!!!! It was quite quiet in the back and a long walk to the breakfast room. No newspaper at breakfast, but the meal itself was good and they don’t rush you out. Small swimming pool and they have a chair lift.
Check in was easy and pleasant. Room was clean, nice large bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, a nice variety and prepared well, with ample seating in the breakfast room. We only stayed one night but would return to this location in the future.

My husband stayed there, but I was not with him. I'm very sad to tell you that he died on October 13, 2016, but the causes of his death were not related to his stay at the hotel. I do remember him telling me about the odor and his complaint to the front desk. Hopefully, they have corrected the situation. Please call them and ask.
