With COVID-19, we decided to stay a little closer to home. Everyone, especially Brandi (sp)?) with Lakestar Lodge were very kind and helpful. They have several dog-friendly rooms. We were able to take our two dogs. Their yard meets the lake. Our grandson was able to swim all day and loved it. My husband and grandson were also able to rent a kayak at the lodge as well and fire pits are available. If you are headed to Deep Creek Lake, please consider LakeStar Lodge for your lodging.
We stayed in room 110, it was the last room on the first floor. It was so nice! My husband and I stayed with another adult couple, the room was perfect for us! It was a little small but we were on the back lawn overlooking the lack and the Wisp resort most of the time. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was amazing and we even got to meet the owner. He was so incredibly nice! We will definitely be back next year hopefully to rent the three bedroom suite with our family.
The wife and I decided to take a day trip to Deep Creek Lake and once there we decided to stay for the night. Found this jem on the lake front. The lovely lady at the front desk was very nice, professional and helpful. Very clean rooms, we stayed in 201 and had a great view. Glad we found this place and can’t wait to go back. Thank you LakeStar Lodge!
The lodge itself is very relaxing and serene. We really decompressed they entire weekend and enjoyed the views. The staff was very accommodating. The only issue that we had was with the bed. The bed was very uncomfortable and caused me and my Wife extreme back pains in which we felt our stay there and continued at home. Other than that it was enjoyable.
We found this place and spent two nights in July. We had a 2 Queen room. The pros - and there are MANY is that everything is super clean, the people are very very friendly and pretty much anything you need is there. If you get a room on the first floor there are no steps from your car to your room, and then only 3 or 4 from your balcony to the yard. Mini fridge and microwave in the room and then a kitchen/lobby area where you can get coffee/tea/hot chocolate all day as well as paper plates, plasticware, napkins. You can even buy the supplies to make a few s'mores. So nice :) You can park right in front of your room which is super convenient. In the back, you are on a lawn right next to the lake with plastic Adirondack chairs to sit on. We did bring our own camp chairs which are a bit more comfortable. There is a very small 'beach" which is nice just to be able to go in the water with a float. Or you can rent kayaks and paddle around the quiet cove. There's a great firepit with plenty of wood for all to enjoy. Pretty much everything you need has been thought of. Another nice thing is that there are restaurants within walking distance. The cons are that in the 2 Queen room it would be very tight to have more than 2 people sharing the room. There just is not that much space to move around. We really liked this place a lot and we look forward to going back!…
