I've stayed at Red Roof PLUS+ Baltimore North 6+ times, and have always had good experiences there. The manager, Goldie, is always helpful and a pleasure to deal with. My room was quiet, clean, and well lit (important for sight impaired folks). The AC was efficient and not too noisy, and the bed was very comfortable. The free WiFi was faster than I've see at any other motel/hotel (33 Mbps Download and 34 Mbps Upload). If you sign up online for their free rewards program, you'll get special discounts in addition to other discounts (AARP, AAA, Senior, etc.) you might qualify for.

Originally had booked with hotels.com, When I arrived (in the middle of the night) hotels.com had not sent the correct reservation, it was a mess. Eric at the from desk tried his hardest to fix it, even though it was not his error. I ended up in a standard room and quickly realized it did not have any amenities. Went back down and upgraded to a premium room. Room was adequate. Take your shower early, hot water gone by 11am. Shower head was leaking, thus water pressure was low. This is a no frills place, but it was relatively quiet and staff were helpful

This hotel is good for the price. It’s located on the outskirts of Baltimore city and has countless restaurants and shops in the area. The hotel was very clean and affordable. My only issue was the check-in process to a little longer than expected. Overall, this is a good hotel.

Clean and comfortable room. Fair price. Our dog stayed with us for no additional charge. Conveniently located close to I 83. Would definitely stay again. Rooms with even nummbers are further from the road, sk a bit quieter................

We arrived late in the evening. We found the parking lot to be small and tight. The lobby was closed upon both our arrival and departure. I had to stand in a vestibule and speak to a clerk through a bulletproof looking barrier, and I had to pass my credit card and driver's license back and forth through a bulletproof looking drawer. From the moment we opened the door to our room, we were assailed by stale cigarette smoke. If we hadn’t arrived at the hotel so late, and if we hadn't been so exhausted from our travels, we would’ve checked out immediately. But, we were stuck. Inside the room, as we turned to the a/c unit for help with the smell of stale cigarette smoke and heat and humidity of the Baltimore area, we saw that the top of the a/c unit was caked with dust and filth. We turned it on and, in fear for our health, immediately turned it off. As we ventured farther into the room, we found every surface to be filthy. There were mold spots on the toilet paper roll, bathroom ceiling, and bathroom shower curtain. There was a streak of dried blood on the bathroom wall just beneath the toilet paper dispenser. We found the desk clerk somewhat reluctant to give us a second roll of toilet paper. When we got into bed, we discovered the bed linens were damp (yes, damp!), presumably from the heat and humidity of the Baltimore area with the room closed up and no a/c having been run in it for a day or more. We slept in our clothes on top of the damp sheets with no a/c. By 4:00 a.m., it was hot in the room (my daughter wanted to finished sleeping in the car) and, by 6:00 a.m., it was unbearably hot in the room. In the morning, we discovered that the outlets in the night table hadn't charged our phones or laptops. Due to our horrible experience, we will never again stay at a Red Roof Inn.

Please read reviews before considering this awful place. Very big scam and pictures are not acurate. i booked through and paid through expedia. There was no lobby open, just a small space with thick glass that smelled of pot. They took my license and came back and said they had no rooms. I already paid, he said i would have to pay 18 upgrade for a different room. i demanded a refund or my room he would not, I argued with him for a long time, he would not even look at me, the two customers behind me booked 3rd party, however he had a room for them. The one customer came back and said he gave him keys to a womans room and she was getting dressed. I couldnt stand the pot smell and feared for my safety I found another very nice hotel. expedia would not refund my money because the attendent said he told me to come back in 2 hours. I believe it was definitely Gods intervention. I may have lost my 78 dollars, but would've rather slept in my car. Attentdant was mad and lied about not having my room because he wanted more money. However, he didnt try to scam the man 2 behind me that booking through a different third party, same room. I usually do not leave reviews but, PLEASE DONT LET THIS BE YOU

We stayed additional day on July 20, 2021 and got locked out when we came back second day ( we already paid and checked in with complete information the day before). The staff refused to rekey the key and made fuss about masks when we talked to each other via a thick glass. She will not rekey when my husband was there with a mask either. Made us to wait at least 40 mins on the day on the day that tempurate was 95 degree with a dog who almost got debrahyated.
We finally called hotel.com to get them to unlock our room so we can check out. Travel 50 states and over 20 countries. This is the first time that we got treated like this as a paid customer.

This place caters to the worst clientele. My husband and I are currently sitting in a veterinary ER because my little dog was attacked by a pitbull owned by one of the “long-term” guests. My dog may lose her leg and I will be sent into debt with vet bills because they choose to cater to junkies and criminals. Add to that the large number of flies in our room along with the faint scent of decomp. I can’t believe I waited over 20 minutes to check in to such a Hell Hole. Of course the woman who came in behind the front desk, sat down, straightened the same stack of papers 5 times then left again was no help. Run away hard from this place.

Where to start, booked our stay Exdpedia.com, check the reviews looked good. Our room was on the 3rd floor the room was stuffy, the AC unit vent was broken off but it was replaced with chicken wire not just chicken wire it was caked with dust. The TV didnt work so we were upgrade to the 1st floor, this was was a little better. The door had a dead roach stuck to it along with something that looked like dried mucus. There was glass tubes in the stairwell and on the grounds around the hotel these are used to do drugs.

My daughter booked a three night reservation here in July on Expedia. Had she not arrived late evening with no place else to stay, she would not have stayed. The room was dirty, door when “closed” had a gap at the bottom of more than an inch, there was a hole in the wall, mildew in the bathroom and the shower head was held together with duct tape.

Under these conditions she found another hotel and left the next morning. I called the hotel to share the experience and to request a refund for the two remaining nights. No apologies for the condition of the room and was told that they would not provide a refund since the reservation was made through Expedia.

Will never book through a third party again and will never stay at another Red Roof Inn, especially this location

The photos used are stock images that they took when they first renovated, (you can see the same ones for other locations). However, basically it is what you get...minus the dirt, bad maid service, and some questionable people hanging out on the walkways at night. I stayed at this location several times a year for the past 7 years. Before this year's trips, I always loved and recommended it to others. This year, I stayed three times (two were extended stays). Each stay was worse than the last. My sister stayed in a room here and found a dead roach in her room. I don't think that's in the picture.

I would never stay again. They have to be padding it or have people with extremely low expectations

Not sure what the latest check in time is but you have until 6:00pm day of arrival to cancel (8pm if your a red roof member). At that point you are charged for the room so I would imagine its held until the following day. I find it hard to believe that if you showed up they say sorry your too late we don't have a room for you but were still going to charge you for a night. Id call to be sure
