Wonderful B&B with historic charm, fantastic food & a staff that made our 1st visit a relaxing getaway. Our room w/private bath was clean with very comfortable beds! The staff was friendly, welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We will visit again and make sure to tell all our family & friends to do the same! Thank... More

This is a wonderful bed and breakfast! Four of use stayed in two rooms and shared a bathroom with a shower. Town Hill was the first hotel built in Maryland to accommodate the automobile traveler. It is built on the National Road, the first federally funded road in the U.S, which ran from Cumberland, MD to Wheeling, WV. A pavilion... More

Be wary of this B&B regarding refunds. I was scheduled to stay there in September 2016 with my mother. Within 6 days of our trip, my mother became incapacitated with an illness and we could not make the trip. The owner of Town Hill refused to give me a refund. He a ruthless business owner with no compassion.

Riding the trail, and Dave picked me up at Bill's Place after an early dinner. The room had everything I needed, including a full private bathroom. Dave is very friendly and full of great information. Tons of history in the building, very comfortable family room. Went out to see the view, and Dave pointed out all the places we could... More

Riding the GAP/C&O trail and was able to get a room. After a long day of rain and mud Dave came to get me at the trail. The inn is very comfortable and Donna and Dave very gracious hosts. Met several other riders. Great atmosphere. Breakfast was the best on the trail. Dave shuttled all us back to the trail.... More

Such an amazing place to stay! The rooms were beautiful, and grounds were exceptional, but the view was the most amazing part of the experience. I believe I took over 400 pictures just roaming the grounds. I had a great nights sleep, and the breakfast was (almost) too much! So delicious! Dave (the host) was so informative and interesting to... More

My fifth time here. Always enjoyable. I take the shuttle although I've biked up and down when I was more energetic, and perhaps, foolish. Nice view of sunrise. Best breakfast on the trip, they even made the whole thing for me when I was their only guest in 2014..

If you desire a 1930's and 40's experience in today's world this is the place for you. Talk about outdated, there isn't a fixture in the place one could consider modern and with the gotchas covering almost every surface imaginable, this place is a disaster. I guess this is what you should expect when there is no competition in the... More

We stayed at this B&B for the first night of our bike ride on the C&O Canal. Stopped for dinner at Bill's Place and then took the shuttle to the B&B Take the ride! It is quite a distance from the canal crossing. Beautiful countryside. The lodgings are spacious and beautifully decorated. Very clean. The owners are very helpful about... More

We had a great stay at Town Hill Bed and Breakfast. We bicycled the GAP and C & O trail. Dave picked us up at the trail and dropped us off the next day. We appreciated Dave's tips for the trail which he shared at breakfast. The breakfast was the best we've ever had at a B & B -... More
