Town Hill B&B is “The Place” to stay while biking from Pittsburgh to Washington DC. The service is amazing (starting with the shuttle service and ending with breakfast). Did I mention breakfast? There were 10 or so delicious items to choose from and each one was outstanding!

Dave, Lisa and the family truly want you to have a great experience. We were bike riding the GAP and C&O canal trails and stayed one night. Dave was good enough to pick us up in town and drive us up to the property. Once there they had a bike washing station with all kinds of resources and a bike stand. They have a Hillbilly laundry tub outside and a clothes line. The B&B is full of history and Dave loves to share. The view from the overlook across the street is amazing. The next morning Lisa cooked us breakfast and as she and Dave sat, they don’t know how to cook for just 2 people. They brought out 8 different dishes. And yes, we were the only 2 at the B&B that night. Dave loaded us back up and took us back to the trail and gave us some insight on what we were going to encounter on the trail that day. Felt very taken care of!!

You might think an inn with a road running literally past the front door would be noisy, but this place is so quiet! The view is one of the best in Western Maryland, on a mountaintop. While we were there, Tropical Storm Fred dumped gallons of water on our plans, but the lovely sun porch was a great place to hang out and watch the rain. The bonfire pit is terrific, surrounded by trees so very cozy. The breakfast is absolutely gourmet start to finish, and trust me it will see you through to dinnertime. The owners are very kind and efficient. I will definitely stay here again!

Our Bubba's Pampered Bike Tour team shuttled 40 GAPCO riders and support staff up to the Town Hill Bed and Breakfast for a wonderful overnight stay. This is a restful haven with a delightful ambiance. Host Dave and his staff offered warm hospitality, a delicious dinner in a gorgeously appointed dining room, and a breakfast from Heaven. Not only are the views spectacular, it is the attention to detail and to guests' comfort that was so welcome and appreciated. I could have stayed a week there, settling in to the long porch and to the cozy places to read. It is an incomparable gem.

Not many places to stay in Little Orleans, but definitely the Town Hill B&B is worth the stop. They will shuttle you up and down to and from their B&B from Bill's Place, which is a must as the road is steep and narrow. The view from the B&B is beautiful! Dave, Lisa, and Roger were wonderful hosts. We were covered in mud from our ride from Cumberland, but they had hoses, rags, brushes, etc to wash our bikes. Also had a clothes line to hang our wet clothes! We arranged and picked up family style dinner of fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans, rolls, green salad and two home made pies at the Belle Grove Exxon which has a small take out kitchen. Town Hill had a pavillion of picnic tables where we enjoyed our delicious meal. Beds were comfortable and breakfast the next morning was fabulous!! A lovely place to stop on the GAP/C&O Canal trek! I highly recommend this B&B.
