Riverrun is located in Hancock between the C&O Canal and the Western MD Rail Trail. The Riverrun is a historic building beautifully renovated with a great story. We found the Riverrun geared for the cyclists offering bike wash, locked bike storage, full kitchen access (lots of food), and even a laundry. The rooms we very clean and nicely appointed. We... Riverrun is located across the C&O Canal from the towpath - you'll see it as you enter Hancock. So the location couldn't be better. Susan welcomed us warmly. We were able to hose off our bikes (and ourselves) immediately, which was terrific, since we were caked with mud. Our room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we would want or... More

This was one of our favorite stops on the GAP/C&O Canal. Riverrun is a beautifully renovated historic building ideally located right on the C&O and the Western MD Rail trail. They are totally set up for cyclists offering a bike wash, locked bike storage, kitchen access, and laundry. The rooms are spacious, clean and very nicely decorated. There is a... More

Great place. Close to the trail and a short walk to some good food. The owner was there upon arrival. He was inviting and friendly. They have a locked storage for the bikes. The rooms were good sized and very clean. Showers were hot and clean as well. They had a nice sitting room up stairs that had a good... More

I fully understand it may not be for everyone, but it's been almost perfect for us. An extra is the house laundry with detergent! We're also appreciated of the inside basement bicycle storage area and the general security. The common kitchen is very good. Love Susan's breakfast. Always great company in the library over looking the tow path. Within stumbling... More

Superb! Quiet, peaceful. Owners are both artists and live a block away, very nice. They renovated the 150 year old Taney warehouse. Everything very fine. Right on the canal and the western md rail trail. Hancock is a nice old town to see.

Just checked in again on my return bike trip to D.C. Canal Tow Path is spectacular, but I've been looking forward to the Riverside all afternoon. Property is pristine and immaculately clean. Very tastefully decorated with all the mod cons. Owners are awesome. Bonus is there's also great resturant next door (Buddy Lou's).

My husband and I have stayed at RiverRun in April for the past 4 or 5 years and every time we love it! Sinclair and Susan are kind thoughtful hosts. We have come early in the season and had the place to ourselves, which we love. The inn is so artfully and tastefully decorated. It has a very good vibe... More

Cycle-friendly, this clean and attractive B&B in an historic building in an historic town is situated at the confluence of three historic transportation systems. Rooms are nicely furnished and comfortable, kitchen is well-stocked, and the second-floor dayroom has spectacular views and full amenities. If you want chintz and fawning hosts, this is not the place for you. But if you're... More
