My husband and I always go away to a B&B for my birthday. This has got to be one of my (our) favorites. We stayed there this past weekend. David is a friendly host and an excellent cook - altogether perfect for the job. The old house was filled with charm, very inviting, very clean. It was very tastefully decorated...

After searching for weeks to find the perfect place for a weekend getaway in the Baltimore area, I found The Wayside Inn and I could not be more pleased with the find. The Inn combines historical charm with modern amenities and delicious breakfasts at a price that was better than any other option in the area. The Terrace Room with...

Extraordinary Inn, extraordinary innkeeper extraordinary experience. My wife and I stayed on Tuesday night and checked out on New Year's Eve, we didn't want to leave but the Inn had no vacancy for the next night. David is an incredible host and chef, we also met his lovely and kind wife. The breakfast was amazing. 5 Stars for this extraordinary...

Couldn't be more pleased with the stay my husband and I had here. The food was absolutely delicious, the linens and room were cozy and fantastic and the owner (David) was hilarious, warm and welcoming. You can really tell he enjoys taking care of people. We were so sad to leave and can't wait to go back. I really can't...

We booked the terrace room at Wayside Inn for my birthday weekend. The room was great. It has a private entrance that was very convenient. The bed was the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in away from home and the sheets are very soft. I was amazed at the size of the bathtub. It it very large and a...

Thank you so much for your kind review. We certainly enjoyed meeting and talking to you and really appreciate that tip about your meal at Family Meal in Frederick. We will have to go experience it for ourselves! When a business calls itself a "Bed and Breakfast" we firmly believe that both parts of that experience should be top notch...

I just spent one night at the inn since I was attending a seminar in Ellicott City the next day. Luckily for me, the rooms at the lecture site were full or I would not have found this delightful alternative to typical convention accommodations. I was greeted at the door by David, the inn keeper, who took my bags and...

We found ourselves traveling to Ellicot City, Maryland for a book convention, and exploring online found the town to be very interesting. With streets filled with antique and specialty shoppes, it felt only proper to book a Bed and Breakfast. We booked by telephone with the Inn directly, as there was only one room remaining. Upon arriving at the Inn,...

Thank you for your in depth review of your recent stay here at our Inn. We do appreciate your positive comments about your stay, including that about your room, breakfast, the quiet and your appreciation of our squeaky floors! They are definitely part of the charm of a 230+year old home. The kitchen issue is a bit of a dilema....

After the very stressful week we had leading up to our wedding, the inn was a welcome sight. The inn keeper was very personable and friendly and greeted us personally. He gave us a brief tour of the stunning 200 year old inn before we settled in for the night. It was nothing like I thought it would be -...

We stayed here for the two nights after our wedding before having to fly back to California. David and Sue were so gracious from check in, through breakfast, and even setting out muffins for us since we had to leave before 6am to make our flight. Our room was private, quiet, and had a shower/jacuzzi which we loved. The building...

Stayed here 5 days during a visit with family in Ellicott City. Every morning David served an excellent breakfast, then it was a short easy drive to the family house in Ellicott.
