We stayed here while visiting our grandson who is attending Stephenson University nearby. Actually this is the first time we stayed at a B&B. This house is impeccably decorated and they account for everything you would need. Our room was on the second floor and they had a code for us to enter the building and our room. it was a beautiful room with an adjustable bed and beautifully decorated bathroom. There is an elevator to take you up to your room with your luggage. Downstairs there is the breakfast room in living room and the sunroom with games. My husband was able to work in the sunroom as he gets up early. The kitchen is nearby where you can prepare food or just get your tea. Julie was on point with breakfast both days and it was delicious. Everything is sustainably raised, organic and healthy. Each day there is a blackboard at the top of the stairs where you choose what you would like for breakfast the next day. The farm store at the bottom of the hill is open each day and we had fun looking and buying products. This is an amazingly large well run organization. We walked around the entire farm and saw the cows and the sheep and the many areas that they have for children to play. I can’t say enough great things about our time here. In the room they have a sound machine that you can use at night as this is an old house and you need to be aware that you will hear some noise from other guests. We met several interesting people and had a great time in this atmosphere. I told my husband I don’t want to stay at a regular hotel again when this is the choice we could have.

very cozy, comfortable and relaxing to walk around the farm. the market is well stocked with some cool stuff. It was a nice weekend getaway. We strolled around the grounds, had an excellent breakfast, and close enough for a day in Ellicott city.

Words cannot explain enough how lovely our stay was at the Inn at Mary's Land Farm. Even before we arrived, we were contacted by their lovely innkeeper, Rita. She set us all up and made sure we knew she would be available at any point during our stay. We had a very private weekend in a great location: close enough to restaurants, stores, and highways yet far away from any noise or traffic. It was truly a country farm stay. We were able to check in ourselves and communicate with the innkeeper easily by texts. The beds were very comfortable and everything we needed was available in our room. A huge plus was our customized breakfast we were able to pick out the night prior, then served in the morning in their beautiful glass room overlooking the farm! This unique stay was well worth it, and we will definitely be back!

The Inn was beyond gorgeous, the renovation recently is both modern & farmhouse vibes and it’s magnificent. Staff was amazingly attentive. So much beauty both inside and outside on the farm. The farm has so much to do: feeding/seeing goats, Chickens, ducks, cows, mini horses, emus, flower picking, an epic farm store with lovely vinegars and olive oils, meats, dairy and so much more.

A pleasant, unique and highly recommended experience. While visiting family in Maryland, rather than utilize the usual nearby golf/resort hotel, we decided to stay at Mary’s Land Farm Inn. The staff could not have been more accommodating. The Inn/suites provided a sense of farm house experience (although, a well-appointed one). Being surrounded by an active farm, wandering farm animals, a selection of activities for hotel guests and walking trails was a great way to enjoy our Maryland visit.

I am currently staying at the Inn. It is an active working farm surrounded by hills with cows, ostriches, geese, pigs, and more roaming the grounds. The Inn is stately and gorgeous. Rooms are quietly elegant. Breakfast is fantastic. Forget a hotel. This is truly a home away from home.

The rating isn't a great representation of my experience, since some parts were awesome and other parts were "meh". I attended the "Farm Immersion Experience" which was advertised as:
🐓Three days of structured immersion (communal activities and meals) 🐓Comfortable accommodations in our historic inn or RV/Tent Space 🐓Farm fresh meals prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients 🐓Welcome BBQ Dinner with Bonfire 🐓Full Farm tour with Lecture and Q&A 🐓Hands-on farm intensive activities 🐓Opportunity to participate in farm chores twice a day 🐓Access to 160 acres of serene farmland to explore 🐓Discounted shopping at Farm Store throughout the stay
I think they were having some organizational issues because communication about the immersion program was sparse and unclear. (Much like the immersion program itself). We had dinner the first night (not BBQ or bonfire) and then didn't see anyone after. The inn was lovely, and the chef was very accommodating. The rooms were clean (which is so hard to do on a farm!) and cute, I loved the heated floors in the bathroom. The next morning, we had breakfast and then 1.5 hours with a guide who showed us around the farm and let the kids feed some animals, which was a hit. There was not a formal lecture and I did not get a good overall sense of what the farm did, growing practices, animal practices, etc. Then we had some sandwiches for lunch and the next activity for another 1.5 hours. This activity was the “goat walk” which was 4 kids trying to walk one goat on a leash. The kids had fun. I wanted to end it before the 1.5 hours because it was hot (and a bit boring).
We had dinner, then firepit for smores. The next morning it was just breakfast and leave, no more activities. The guide was nice enough to stop by and give the kids certificates on her way to church.
I wanted to love the experience, since the people were so nice. It was great for the kids to run around and have fun. I had a lovely time with my friend. But it was not really different than if we had stayed in the bed and breakfast- except it cost more. The farm immersion consisted of 3 hours of activity with the guide and smores at night on Saturday. In my opinion, not worth it.

Our stay at Mary’s Land Farm (MLF) was better than expected! We have been buying Secolari artisan condiments for ourselves and as gifts to friends for more than a decade, but we just recently learned that this business was acquired by MLF. This called for a short excursion to the Farm, and we were pleasantly surprised by the following: (1) the inn is so welcoming and georgous - one can tell that the owners used the best quality building materials and there are captivating murals throughout; (2) Julie, MLF’s cook and innkeeper, was so attentive to our dietary restrictions; she planned with us before each meal preparation and presented delicious and wholesome meals using Secolari condiments that we never would even imagine to concoct; (3) Helena, MLF’s farm docent, was so knowledgeable about raising all the animals there and we had many delightful conversations. We’re definitely coming back.. and this time we can’t wait to see MLF’s annual sunflower festival in August/September.
