This B&B was a beautiful old home that has been beautifully kept up and uniquely decorated for cyclists. The host communicated well and made sure we were well taken care of. Beds were comfortable with washrooms on each floor.
Baking was provided for breakfast.
Would stay again.

My husband and I started our C&O Towpath Bicycle trip at the Inn on Decatur. We drove to Cumberland from Michigan and stayed the night with our intention to bike to DC, take the train back to Cumberland and stay at the Inn on our return, heading back to Michigan the following morning. What a great place to stay - colorful rooms, quiet space, all of the amenities and more that you will need for an overnight. Gail goes above and beyond to provide hospitality to her guests. Spotless rooms, great breakfast, knowledgeable hostess. The Inn is close to the trailhead as well as the train station and historic downtown Cumberland where you can walk to get whatever you need. We highly recommend this place to stay!

We stayed here for an overnight while in Cumberland. It's within minutes of teh C&O Canal park and the Scenic RR. The room was very nice; antiques and eclectic décor. The bed was comfortable, check-in was easy and the host's concern with Covid ensured guest safety and room cleanliness. We had a kitchenette area with a Keurig and a refrigerator to keep our dinner leftovers in. We were able to set a time for breakfast; the choices were almost overwhelming. From French toast to pastries, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. Gail was an awesome hostess and we spent a good while talking with her over breakfast. Decent rates and it beat the heck out of a hotel.

Room Tip: The Inn itself has 2 beautiful rooms. The Guest House is a more open space and better for groups.

This B&B is about 10 minutes from center city (Baltimore St shops) and is the best, most friendly B&B we have ever encountered. Gail, the owner, is a jewel among women. The room, the breakfast could not have been more appreciated by two tired cyclists. Stay here. You won't regret it.

We finished our short day 3 of the GAP/C&O experience with our stay with Gail at the Inn on the Decatur. I must say that Gail is the most gracious host. We were able to do our laundry. The room and house were wonderful, the candy dish was attacked by myself and the hubby. And breakfast was off the hook. We wrapped up a bunch of food to take with us for snacks for our ride - this came in handy to keep us fueled for our 60+ ride that day. Gail was awesome and gave us a lot of advise and great conversation. If we find ourselves back in Cumberland this is my only choice for our stay.

My second time here. This time my wife and I decided to bike the GAP/C&O together. Check-in was a breeze, our room was super clean and the bathrooms, showers, and kitchen were spotless.

The breakfast Gail made the next morning was incredible. There were options for every preference.

Gail takes obvious pride in the Inn and works hard to make sure everything is just so. There's inside storage for the bikes including charging options for e-bikes. The whole place has fun, bike-related decor and there are lots of books about local history and interesting things to do in Cumberland.

You won't be disappointed. A great place to stay and we'll definitely stay here again. Tons of dining options in town. We chose Baltimore Street Grill.

Got off the train and Inn a short ride away. Gail is fabulous, great communication! Stayed at the Inn. No breakfast (just to clarify) but went to Ellie’s Deli 1 block away. Almost 1/3 less in price than other places we stayed on the trail. Locked storage for bikes, large room and bathroom, and great location. Would definitely stay there again.

My friends and I rode to DC and had one night in Cumberland. Gail absolutely outdid herself with hospitality after a super long day. Hands down our favorite stay of the entire trip. Cannot recommend more!

While biking the C&O/GAP, we spent 2 nights at Inn on Decatur. Our beautiful room was immaculate and well appointed with lovely decor. The bathroom and laundry was wonderful with exceptional toiletries and amenities. Snacks and treats were provided and a wonderful breakfast with lots of fresh fruit was provided with the offer to take whatever was left-over for our day's journey. Gail is a warm and exceptional host who really knows how to run a business and make customers happy.
