This hotel is obviously an old motel that has been enclosed. And it feels like the motel was built in 5 different stages, so the layout is very confusing and sprawling. The lobby has a pool table, pool, and a weird mini-golf green and full-size shuffleboard thing going on. Good for killing time. The free wi-fi is strong, even in... More

This hotel is old and a bit run down. I cant say the room was dirty. It seemed clean to me ...just dingy. The mattress was old and cheap , I could feel the springs. Couldn't sleep a wink in those conditions. If it wasn't practically across the street from the university where we attended a graduation I wouldn't have... More

This hotel is not suitable for families. It is not suitable for children, couples, individuals or business. This hotel is suitable for no one. It is dirty, outdated, overpriced and be very careful with your credit card transaction here. And yes it is dangerous. At night there are several big pickup trucks with roof lights driven by guys hired as... More

I work for a seminar company and we have used this hotel several times. Each time worst than the last. 80 participants each with the same complaints: Room smelled, chairs were stained and unkempt and the floor was sticky. One of the screens was hanging with coat hangers and the carpet was nasty The hotel staff never came to see... More

Came for graduation so as far as location its perfect. UMUC is right down the street. So is alot of restaurants to choose from. Be careful some places require you to pay for parking so bring alot of coins. The room was not 100% clean, found dirty sock and someone lighter on floor. Looks like room been through a flood.... Spent 3 nights here while visiting zoo and several Smithsonian attractions in DC. Good breakfast in pleasant setting and helpful staff. BF included hard boiled eggs, waffles, fruit, yogurt, bagels, 4 types of cereal, etc. Good clean rooms and comfortable beds and pillows. Quiet location. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of fast food and restaurants nearby. Granite countertop and tub... More

We held a fund raising event here and regretted it immediately. The room was not clean or properly arranged. The trappings are tacky with gaudy velvet curtains. The table coverings and chairs were dirty, so dirty we had to raid another meeting room to find clean ones. Chairs were stacked behind the staging area. It was an ugly scene. The... More

Stopped here for the night. Was given suggestion by Comfort Inn, their sister property. It's a big property with plenty of room. The pool was in a giant echoing lobby so don't get a room in the inside and it was a bit overwhelming with pool smell. We were on the back side second floor to avoid the noise. Property... More

We've stayed at Clarion's in the past with no issue. We were in town (UMD) for a huge cheerleading competition. This one was a different story & we will not return or recommend this hotel to anyone. Check in was at 3:00pm. We arrived at 2:45pm and was told our room wouldn't be ready for another hour or so. The... More

We needed a hotel last minute, this hotel was the only one available. It is not in a good location. The rooms were very dated, but fairly clean. The price was expensive for what it was, it really is a $60 a room hotel. The staff was very nice, but I would not recommend staying there.
