I stayed at the Cambria Hotel, College Park, for over a week in July 2022 and found the room clean, thanks to the hard-working cleaners, and the bed was comfortable. But did anyone tell the people at the front desk they're employed in the hospitality industry? The first clerk I spoke with was patently rude. Another told me, passively, that he couldn't tell me which direction College Park Metro Station was because he didn't live in the neighborhood. The bunch seems irritated by the slightest of questions. I avoided the front desk with a bargepole and hoped I'd stayed at an Airbnb.
Dropped our son off a UMD. This is a great place to stay close to campus easy to get to. Very clean. Staff was very friendly. Room had blackout shade always a plus. No carpet on the floor also great for people who have allergies. We will be back over the next 4 years for sure.
The hotel room and lobby were clean, modern, and comfortable. However, it was the front staff that was really tremendous. Dave was so helpful and kind when I had car problems, and then later lost car keys. What felt like a trip from hell was made better by his positivity, calm demeanor, and assistance. He really made a difference and cared. Also Yury and Dave helped us navigate getting into DC when we were down a car.
Once we arrived at the hotel, the front desk clerk was rude. I wish I knew how to spell her name but I think it's Jury or Jurdy something like that. They had experience a power outage and I asked her will the first night be accommodated? We traveled from Indianapolis to come to a hotel without service. We left to go to a different hotel down the street, their sister hotel named the hotel at the university of maryland. Upon arrival the front desk clerk was nothing but courteous and very helpful. They to had experience a power outage but she was able to accommodate our room for that night unlike the cambria. I booked my room with a 3rd party but I hadn't checked out. came back to find out that my key didn't work. I went to the front desk and she had trouble finding my reservation. But she cut me another room key. to my surprise, someone else had already checked in the room. She gave my room away and she knew it. That's when I went to another hotel and received much better customer service. Not only that, they had charged my credit card which they were not suppose to since I booked my room through a 3rd party. They were charging my account. I spoke with the manager for charging my card without permission. The sister hotel had to put the money back on my card. That's why I said I would stay at the hotel university of maryland and NEVER at the Cambria. Very bad experience. customer service is everything.…
Perfect hotel. The bed was more comfortable than my bed at home. Walk in shower was nice. Coffee and iron all in working order. Friendly staff, modern and clean. Nice gathering places in the lobby. Will stay here again.
This has to be the cleanest hotel we've encountered since COVID. The staff (Jamaal) was kind, generous and welcomed us with a smile and fun hotel facts. The entire room and lobby, looked brand new, it was sanitized and well maintained. This was me and my husbands first time staying at Cambia, as we're Hilton Honor members, but will not be our last. Love, love it everything about this hotel. Thank you Jamaal for the wonderful customer service.
The Cambria's modern decor, spacious rooms, comfortable king size bed and futon styled couch, spa like bathrooms, fitness center, convenient laundry room were all unmatched! I was able to enjoy working from a large desks with plenty of space to set up my computer, tablet, and phone. The wi-fi was also very strong and I experienced no latency or connectivity issues for my virtual meetings. The College Park Grill is a MUST; I enjoyed the variety of menu items, drinks and server service. I appreciated the care and attentiveness of the front desk and housekeeping. I felt completely safe, as well! Cambria is truly a model of excellence in your industry. I felt so relaxed and as if I were at home. What a pleasant stay. Hotel is very clean and modern. Restaurant on the premises is excellent. Our only complaint was the lack of hot enough water. Hotel is close to Marylands campus and many good restaurants. The staff was very helpful and addressed our issues.
After going back and forth on whether or not I would book this hotel, I made the choice to. I know how stock photos work when looking at hotel pictures, but I was hopeful since the hotel is only about four years old. I don't think I could have been more impressed. The room was very very nice. I had a king size bed which was sooo plush. I have never slept on a bed that soft before. It didn't even feel like sleeping on a mattress. The room was just as pictured - open and minimalistic. I loved that!! The blinds are adjustable, and you can even set them to blackout. The carpet-free floors add to the "clean feel" of the room as well, which is important to me because I'm a clean freak. One of the best amenities is the Bluetooth-enabled mirror in the bathroom, which is really nice to have playing music while you're in there. I had a very nice and comfortable stay, and, just as others have commented, I didn't hear any noise in the hotel - couldn't even hear other guests and my room was right by the elevator. Also, great front desk staff; they happily assisted me with all my needs. I definitely plan on staying here in the future when I revisit the area.…
Upon entering the hotel I was greeted by Natasha at the front desk, I must say she was so nice and accommodating. I can’t stress how big customer service is for me. She made sure I was comfortable. Told me about all the wonderful amenities and the food in the neighboring community. I will definitely be back because of her. Thank you Natasha for helping me out. You’re amazing and this hotel is lucky to have you.
