The Hotel is huge, over the years it's been renewed and extended, the SPA offering is extensive with large wellness areas and pools. Plus the large health treatment area with extensive choice of treatments. The rooms are very spacious (our standard double was 36 sqm!). We had a half-board arrangement, the breakfast buffet is immense with a great variety of all sorts of food styles and the evening dinner always had three or four possible choices, excellent quality. On the downside, suprisingly, comes the service. In the room, complimentory toiletry is very limited and not replaced. Cleanliness is debatable, our terrace table upon arrival offered us an ash-tray with a halfed smoked cigar in it, when we left it was still there. No waste paper bin in the room. Wi-fi is free but only in the lobby. The lobby bar is just a bar, no snack available, although plenty of cakes. Staff is mostly foreign, some very customer-focussed but most absoluetly not. At the wellness treatment reception the ladies seemed to be suffering from a facial handicap, impossible to get a smile any time. In the dining area, one of the waiters was running around nicely dressed, but with his shirt sleeves rolled up and sweat dripping from his head... The receptionist was unable to arrange a check-out delay of 1 hour (we asked fro noon instead of 11am, as we had a treatment scheduled for 11...) Upon check-out our bill was missing the wellness treatments, when I pointed this out I got frowned at, then was asked exactly what was missing, then anothe receptionist found track of what we'd had and the bill was completed. "Thank you and bye bye". No "hope you enjoyed your stay, was everything OK and up to your expectation, have a safe trip, look forward to welcoming you back". None of this, clear off there's new bother arriving... My memory of Austrian hospitality was very different... Now it's just about money. What a pity...

We stayed for 4 nights. The occasion was a family get-together. The rooms were nice and airy and had the amenities you expect. Our stay included an extensive breakfast and dinner with two menu choices. There are other plans available. This hotel is a spa. "Bad" in, German, means bath or spa. The hotel offers a number of massages and spa treatments. There is a large indoor-outdoor pool with water features. There is a smaller indoor pool (where they offer morning exercises) adjacent to a whirlpool. Several saunas are offered with varying aims, like dry-, steam- or herb-scented air. They have a large solarium and an outside lawn for lounging. You may drink the water that is said to contain minerals. A word of caution: the saunas surround a common sitting area and clothing is optional. This is Europe. The saunas are unisex. Most people sitting around this area wear robes but if the occasional bare popo offends you, be forewarned. The kitchen serves good meals. There is a well-stocked bar. Since there were seven of us we were always seated at the same large table as were other groups but there are other restaurant areas fro walk-in guests and groups. The staff is attentive and well trained. Bad Reuthe is in the Bregenzer Wald (Forest), but is much more mountainous than the Black Forest, say. The Bregenzer Wald is in the State (or Province) of Vorarlberg, adjoining Switzerland. There is hiking (they lent us hiking sticks, cheerfully), and biking and climbing and every summer sport imaginable. A number of trams and lifts will take you to the summits of nearby peaks and a good bus net covers the area. There is skiing in the winter, both, downhill and cross-country. The Bregenzer Wald is full of picturesque villages and gorgeous scenery. And it is cheaper than Switzerland. The hotel is a popular spot, so make your reservations early.

I stayed in the hotel for one night for a business meeting. Upon check-in, my room was unlocked and the key was found only later that day. The toilet was disgustingly untidy, such that the hotel manager proposed me a new room. Things like these can happen (but they shouldn't); also the hotel manager, Mrs. Frick, was very apologetic and moved my belongings to the new room herself. However, a customer dissatisfaction like this one is not handled by a piece of handmade soap. I could think of more appropriate compensation.

I stayed 4 nights at this hotel recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. The family room we had was spacious and comfortable, food was good with lots of variety. I had a few spa treatments which were very enjoyable. Surrounding area is beautiful - great for jogging and cycling. Only slight criticism would have to be the waiting staff in the restaurants - not overly friendly and not particularly accommodating in adapting menus to certain dietary requirements. We were a large party for lunch and were told it would be appreciated if we only ordered the set menu as they were short staffed. And the wrong meals were brought on occasion. Wifi only available in lobby. But we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Bad Reuthe - I came in the summer to find a tranquil place to write for two weeks, and it was perfect. The room was spacious, comfortable with a balcony looking out over the hills. It really had everything I wanted - The indoor and outdoor swimming pools included warm and cold pools, jacuzzi, and a pool for lengths - all with views out to the hills. Though I don't use these very much, a separate area had a good variety of steam rooms/saunas etc. laid out around a central jacuzzi. There was also a gym, table tennis and plenty of places to sit and drink coffee! I was surprised to see that none of the facilities were ever crowded, even though there were plenty of guests in the hotel. On one or two days there were a lot of people in the pool, but otherwise not busy. Meals were a delight to look forward to each day: A big salad buffet for starters, soup and excellent dishes - especially the meat. The hotel is equidistant from two peaceful villages - confusingly named Bezau and Bizau - which are just a ten minutes or so away by bicycle (the hotel had plenty of well-maintanined mountain bikes and E-bikes to borrow). The lobby and bar area has free wifi. The staff were very friendly and eager to help - they were both patient with my broken german and, when that failed, spoke english too! I had no complaints - I'll definitely be back here!

We were here for 2 nights. The bed and the pillow were not comfortable and somewhere outside the hotel was under construction, therefore we couldn't sleep well. The photos from the website are not bad, but when we see the facility in the hotel, we were totally disappointed. The facility is old, and the "fitness room" was just like a storeroom. The food in the restaurant was also not good. My fish had a strange smell and the chicken of my husband was not better. The best food there was the bread, freshly made. The massage was also disappointing, my masseuse was even not friendly. At the last day, we just wanted to go home and have a nice sleep.
