We stayed one night midweek and what a fabulous stay it was. The room was spacious and comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bath tub was heavenly being huge and deep and with lovely complementary toiletries which made a soak after a long walk just perfect. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant, the staff were very polite and attentive...

The village pub is sadly a dying breed. Andrew and team should be wrapped and cloned and distributed throughout the UK to show how it can be done. We stopped by to get a room but they were too busy with lunch customers and asked us to come back in an hour. Well yes! That's absolutely the place to be....

We chose the stag and huntsman because of its location , in a picturesque little village but close Enough to walk into Henley on Thames 4 miles away. Our room was at the front of the hotel. It was extremely well decorated and had a lovely bathroom. Everything was clean and the bed was really comfortable. The restaurant served lovely...

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights. We chose it as it was close to a local winery that we were visiting. So where do I start. This is not a modern chrome and glass hotel/pub if you want that this is not for you. The property is old and quirky absolutely brilliant. Our room was very comfortable...

When you pay £24 for venison at Sunday lunch, you expect to be full. The portions were small. I was still hungry afterwards. It's a shame - service was fine, decor very good, and food otherwise tasty. But portion sizes laughably small. I live in London, so am used to expensive restaurants - but this place was both expensive but...

My wife and I stayed overnight here - this is a lovely old Inn in the very picturesque village of Hambleden, set in the Chiltern Hills, and a short drive from Henley on Thames. We had a lovely room, which unfortunately had a kettle that didn't auto-switch off - which meant that the paint was peeling where other guests had...

What an attractive place the Stag and Huntsman is in the middle of a very pretty village. I was surprised but very pleased that our dog was welcome in the restaurant area and he enjoyed a bowl of water and a couple of biscuits courtesy of one of the staff members whilst we had a tasty lunch. Service was attentive...

We recently stayed at this hotel. We were really impressed with all the staff. Very friendly, chatty and really helpful. The breakfasts were excellent as were the two evening meals we had. The service was really good. The room was comfortable and clean everything we expected from a pub with character. It's in a ideal location between Marlow and Henley....
