We spent the weekend with family and couldn't speak more highly of the Stage Neck hotel and its staff. They were incredibly accommodating of our group of 16 at both dinner and breakfast. The rooms are beautiful, well-appointed and have breath taking views. We also loved the river walk nearby!
My husband and I spent the weekend at the Stage Neck Inn. This was our second stay there and this stay was even better than the first time (and the first time was great!). The staff is amazing everyone was friendly and helpful from the staff at the Shearwater to the front desk to the spa. Our room was very clean and the view was fabulous. The buffet for breakfast is great with a huge variety and the staff was helpful (especially with our requests as a result of food allergies). I can't say enough good things about this hotel. We will definitely be back!
We want to share our appreciation in acknowledgment of waiter Darien, at this lovely fine dining establishment. Our meal was wonderful and the experience delightful. Comfortable seating with surrounding natural beauty. Very nice!
We stayed at the lovely Stage Neck Inn for 3 nights in November. The Inn is meticulously kept and beautifully decorated for autumn. Our Harborside king room was perfect and housekeeping, as always, was amazing. We had several meals at Shearwater Restaurant and the food and service was top notch. Celebrating our 44 wedding anniversary, we were thrilled to find a special note marking the occasion along with a box of candy! This however is where our story gets interesting. Upon returning home we noticed that my husband’s wedding ring was missing! After scouring every inch of the house and car we called the Stage Neck Inn to see if somehow it had slipped off in either the pool or hot tub. What a wonderful surprise when several hours later we received a call stating that maintenance had indeed found the ring and that they would happily return it to us! We are extremely grateful to the entire staff at Stage Neck Inn for going above and beyond to locate the irreplaceable ring and we look forward to visiting again in the near future to express our gratitude in person.…
We really enjoyed our stay here. York Harbor is small and quiet. If you need stores and arcades, go to York Beach. The Stage Neck Inn is on a small point of oceanfront land and the crowd is mature - not many children here. The hotel is note large, but it is well maintained and charming. Nice touches abound - ponds, balconies, indoor pools and spa, fireplaces, historical photos.... The restaurant serves delicious food, and a bountiful breakfast buffet is included in the hotel rate. Views of the water are great. Everyone here is about hospitality - could not be nicer. Not inexpensive, but well worth it - we will stay here again.
SNI is beautiful in August ! The people, the property and the weather were all wonderful ! I like that a waffle station was added to the breakfast buffet. I enjoyed the food at the pool cafe! The highlight is always the SNI staff, especially the housekeeping team! (LOVE Tracey!) When I checked in they had left me an excellent gift for my Mom! (This review is a little late because I reviewed my June stay back in June and Tripadvisor requires three months in between reviews)
I was pleasantly surprised with how beautiful the lobby, restaurant and resort was. The pictures online do not do it justice! The owner really needs to do a better job on the website with more pictures of the rooms and common areas! Great but expensive restaurant onsite, amazing breakfast- waffle making station, delicious eggs benedict, smoothies, yogurt, breads, pancakes, bacon etc.. very nice buffet. Usually cost about $27 pp if not staying on property. The beach was nice too, it did have seaweed closer to the inn but it was still nice. Water is clear and calm but cold in July. I believe it gets warmer in Aug- Sept. I do think they need to fix the parking as when they allow folks to park for lunch and dinner, there can be limited parking for guests. More spaces are needed. The outside pool area bar/ cafe is great as you can spend the day at the beach then go there for lunch to eat and swim some more. I would highly recommend a stay here, some rooms are remodeled, ours was not but it was still very nice and clean! 4.5 stars…
So went there on Sunday for 2 nights...during the hurricane. Not their fault, but I did call on Friday to see if we could reschedule and it was a big fat NO. So, went anyways, ride up was rought, Mass residents werent supposed to be on the road, but did I want to lose 500 bucks? The weather was off and on, rain, wicked rain, and more rain. Nobodys fault. We had a great room, harborview, 3rd floor. The balcony was perfect, though so foggy we didnt know there were houses across until Tues when the sun came out. Gorgeous views though when we could see. A few boats and birds...very nice. We went to the bar 3 times, Rory and Kristen and Kate were great bartenders! Drinks were good too. We did not do the breakfast buffet as I thought 30 bucks each was a tad much. Went to Ricks and Normas and it was fine. The pool was quite far away, tho we were aware of this and couldnt go anyway with the weather. Didnt try the indoor things. One thing I wish is that they would have given us a little info on the lobby...they had coffee (didnt know till we were leaving) so we had used the pot in the room. Also water in a great container, didnt know this either, would have filled up for our trips outside the hotel. All and all, it was nice, but for the price, probably not again. Do I sound cheap? Im really not, but this place was expensive. OH one thing...sorry, but the shower was the scariest thing in the world...the tub is SO HIGH to step into I was scared to death, since I'd just had a hip replacement. Not good for elderly at all .. Im only 68 but I was petrified I was going to break my neck. The tub bottom was very slippery. Otherwise, bathroom itself was nice, the magnifying mirror and all the little soaps were fine. But that tub scared the bejeezeus out of me. Beware.…
This hotel is beautiful. We had a deluxe room with balcony facing both the harbor and the ocean. Gorgeous views. Indoor and outdoor pools are fantastic. The breakfast buffet is one of the best I have ever had!!! All of the staff very friendly and go out of their way to help you. So nice to relax by the ocean!!!!
I came to the Stage Neck again, but this time just for minibreak. Due to the demand for hotels in the area, by the time I decided to book this, I got the last room. It is one of the rooms on the first level looking out onto the parking lot. On previous stays I have had ocean view rooms with a balcony. But I was quite pleased with the room. You could still hear the ocean at the beach and the room was well appointed. There is a fence and landscaping that separates the patio from the parking lot, so it was not as unprivate as I thought it would be. Plus, I could just walk around the fence and get to the beach or the car. They have more seating outdoors than before which was a bonus during the pandemic. Things I liked. Using the outdoor and indoor pools and indoor hot tub. Despite the hotel being full, I was able to find alone time in the indoor pool. More outside seating for all of the meals. They got rid of my favorite seafood pizza but the cioppino was amazing. I had a spa appointment but there was a mix up on the times and they were vary accommodating. Despite the difficulty in finding staff these days, the waitstaff was expert and very nice. The turndown staff were very nice and remembered on my second night that I really like the chocolates. What I didn't like. The room was quite humid if I opened up the sliding door at all. I had to run the dehumidifier all the time. This may have been because we had such a wet July. The room was not musty.…
