Our first post-pandemic travel night and it didn’t disappoint! Cute room was clean and pretty (although teeny tiny bathroom) but we really loved the location and used the park and beach across the street as our extended “living spaces” complete with beautiful ocean views. Also great breakfast but pub menu is still limited at night. Also friendly staff which makes a difference!

We did a 2 night getaway and loved this property. Located directly across the street from the beach and the cliff walk, it was nice not needing to get in the car. The room was beautiful and had a view of the ocean. The staff is really friendly. Breakfast is included and was delicious. York is a beautiful place and York Harbor Inn is definitely the place to stay!

The hostess Edie who seated us is very nice. My stepfather had chowder, halibut, mashed potatoes, sugar snap peas, and double chocolate fudge cake. I had salad, baked stuffed sea scallops, mashed potatoes, broccoli and double chocolate fudge cake. All our food was delicious. Our compliments to the chef! Drinks were good. Our waitress Caitlyn was attentive and efficient. We enjoyed our meals. We'll be back. Thanks Caitlyn! Thanks also to Greg Silva, Edie, and the bartender. We highly recommend York Harbor Inn. My mom loved the buffets here years ago. She was with us in Spirit today. We hope the buffets will be back for Thanksgiving! That would be great!

Went on a mid-week romantic get away with my husband. As we live only 25 miles away in MA we were familiar with the York harbor area. The warning signs that this would not be a good stay started at the check in. We thought it was 3pm but apparently it was 4:00 pm. After arriving at the front desk the attendant took our cell phone number and said she would call us as soon as our room was ready. At 4:06 when I spotted the same clerk leaving for the day, I sent my husband in to check in again. The new desk attendant said yes our room was ready but they forgot to call us. Our room was in one of the property’s 6 other out buildings and a 1/2 mile from the main lodgings. I had booked a king room with two fireplaces and a jacuzzi tub. The fireplace in the bedroom ended up not being operational and the TV had no service. When we went back to the check in desk to go to dinner at their pub we mentioned these items to the desk. They told us they knew about these issues and didn’t tell us but they put a Demi bottle of champagne and a cheese plate in our room as their way of saying sorry. Did we get those items? Yes but that wasn’t enough for the inconvenience. We are huge Bruins fans and ended up having to drop $100 in the pub on Thursday night just to be able to watch the game. Our room’s heating was controlled with the other 3 suites by a thermostat outside in the hallway. The windows were drafty and the bed came only with a thin sheet and an even thinner bed cover. There were no extra blankets, covers or duvets in our room. If you want those you needed to go back to the main lodging and request them. The hot water took a really long time to come in the sink, shower and tub. The other disadvantage of being in a building 1/2 mile from the main lodge was on Thursday night at 11:15 pm one of the other people in the suite behind us started smoking pot. The smell was horrid. We had to open all of our windows and put the ceiling fan on. We called the main desk and they asked us if we knew exactly which room it was coming from? No we didn’t and that’s not our job. We have no idea how this issue was resolved as it was not communicated to us. We slept in the cold with the fan and windows open all night long. So would not recommend and we will not be going back. We would prefer lodging and visiting Ogunquit instead. Better village vibe, more dining options, and more B&B’s. Bottom line the York Harbor Inn was not a good value for the money and staff did not make us feel like our concerns were important.

Dear 598michelineh, Thank you so very much for your visit to the York Harbor Inn and for sharing your experience with us. We cannot apologize enough for the inconvenience you had experienced during your stay. Our goal is to exceed your expectations with every interaction with our staff, our guest rooms and our dining. We are so sorry we did not do so in this visit. While the cable television was out of our control, we certainly should have informed you at check in of that situation, as well as the faulty fireplace. In addition, we did communicate with the nearby guest room that was smoking and they did cease. We were not comfortable calling you directly with the resolution as it was so late we did not want to disturb you. We are thankful for your comments and we sincerely hope that you will consider joining us again in the future. Paul Gagnon, Guest Services, York Harbor Inn

This was a great place to stay and the coffee was perfect. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly. We stayed at a large home that was beautifully decorated and super relaxing. They offered a blanket for our dog and food bowl. Easy access to the rooms and great place for your pet to exercise. Very clean...The king size mattress was not comfortable and needs changing..you could feel the spring all over. With the appearance of the property I thought the mattress was a cheapo...We will return
