We stayed at « Stones Throw » and the staff was incredibly welcoming. The food was delicious! We also stayed at the « Viewpoint » and it is definitely the most beautiful place to stay in Maine. We will absolutely make it our go to every year. Lynda and Alex

What a beautiful location. The suites are large and nicely decorated. The electric fireplace is a great touch The grounds are well maintained and the views - oh the views! Also, the No contact check in/out process is awesome. We will be returning!

My fiancé and I decided to plan a mini getaway at ViewPoint to celebrate our engagement and also check it out as a possible wedding venue. Hoping to disconnect, catch up on lost sleep from the past few months, enjoy the views and each others company. Well, this was impossible to do when a jackhammer starts at 8am and goes throughout the entire day. I know it’s not the hotel’s fault that there was constant road work/construction being done, but it would have been nice to have a heads up prior to booking or even before arriving. It was not the relaxing trip we were hoping for but I’m sure we would have had a better time had our surroundings been more peaceful. We couldn’t even hang out there during the day because the place was shaking and it was SO loud. Not the romantic retreat we planned. If you’re looking for a beautiful spot this could be it - just make sure there isn’t going to be constant construction that will ruin your trip.

Hello Erin - thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We are sorry to hear that your stay was not as peaceful as you had hoped for! Although the town does make an effort to inform businesses about upcoming work so they can relay it to their guests, we do not get advance notice when private work is being done. We absolutely agree that a heads-up would have been nice so we could make our guests aware! We hope to see you again and would be happy to help you find a more peaceful time of year!

You cannot beat the view! We stayed here in February - grounds covered in snow and area quiet for the winter. It was fabulous! You cannot beat the view of the lighthouse. Even though one morning it was 5° we actually sat on the porch with our morning coffee. With the sun facing you it was divine. The suites are beautiful and had everything we needed. Cannot wait to stay again.

World-class ocean view highlighted by the iconic Nubble Light. Our suite was very comfortable, uniquely furnished with perfection in every detail. The Staff was spectacular and always eager to help. We were married in a small, intimate ceremony on the Viewpoint Hotel’s gorgeous Ocean’s Edge Patio, with the picturesque Nubble Lighthouse and crashing waves as our backdrop. Haven (the Events Coordinator), Val (the Hotel Director), and the rest of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, and ensured that our day proceeded without a hitch. While the weather ended up being perfect on our wedding day, the staff had an EZ-Up tent, in the case of rain, ready to be deployed at a moment’s notice, which was much appreciated. In addition to our ceremony, our entire wedding party stayed two nights at the Viewpoint. Everyone commented about how much they enjoyed their rooms, the grounds, and the spectacular views. Our wish to have an outdoor wedding in coastal Maine was certainly met, and we are very happy to have selected this venue as it helped capture everything we imagined our day would be! The memories of such an amazing day will surely last a lifetime, and we are excited to visit again in the future.

There cannot be many views in Maine that can beat the view of the Nubble light house from the Viewpoint Hotel. The positives are that the grounds are beautiful with a lovely pool area. The suites are well-decorated, although the furniture is stylish but somewhat uncomfortable. The view is unmatched and sitting on one of the balconies is a great way to start the day. There is a very popular ice cream stand almost across the street. The suite had a smart TV, which is uncommon. The negative is that we also rented the 3-bedroom house. I was not aware that the house is actually located across the street in a parking lot with no view. The top floor is rented. There is only one bathroom for three bedrooms. Our adult kids stayed in the house, while we stayed in the suite. The kids did comment that the beds were very comfortable. There is nothing special about the house, and if we had rented only that I would not have been happy.

We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed the space. Beautiful views of the lighthouse and ocean. Room had everything you’d need, fridge, K-cup coffee, smart TV’s, Bluetooth speaker, electric fireplace. Only thing is thin walls. We had one group of neighbors up late -loud voices can be heard while in bed so bring a white noise machine. You can also hear people walking above you if you’re in first level. Other than we would return in a heartbeat!

My husband and I stay for a few days in early November during our anniversary trip to Maine. We stayed in the 1 BR view suite which was lovely! Due to the pandemic, everything was done virtually, but we received many emails and texts to let us know what to do. Everything was very clean and seemed well kept. It was off season, so not too much is open, but we prefer the quiet and serene setting. We even got up early (on vacation!) to take pictures of the sunrise. Overall, would highly recommend a stay at the ViewPoint!
