I booked online. The picture I clicked had two beds. When I arrived, I was told I was booked into a room with one queen. When I entered the pig sty called a room, it was a full size bed. When I told them that was unacceptable, they told me I had lost my deposit. I lost my deposit because they did not provide the room offered. Even if I made a mistake booking, that was not a queen bed. Add to that, the place is filthy! I would not house homeless derelicts in this dump. I have seen better looking dumpsters. The floor was filthy, the shower door broken, the stove rusty, and the room reeked. I have worked in better farm barns. I would not sleep there if they paid me. Disgusting!!!

Room Tip: Do not even think about staying here. Go to a homeless shelter. It will be better and cleaner.

If I could give this hotel a zero I would. The guy who manages the place is something else. You go to talk to him and he talks through his ring doorbell. When he comes to my door he just yells outside to open the door. The oven wasn't working in the stove and he refused to do anything about it. Then the stove itself wouldn't work. Staff have pretty much gone in my room every time I leave. I came back yesterday and the cable/internet box was gone and the telephone was gone. I'm also missing personal items. I also found out that the smoke detectors are empty - there are not working smoke detectors in the rooms. I wouldn't be surprised if they have cameras in the room spying on guests. They have lied to me, and I believe have stolen from me. If you don't want to get ripped off - LOOK ELSEWHERE. This hotel is the pits and no place to spend money on for vacation. BEWARE!!!!!

So if wifi connection doesn't matter to you this place is fantastic. The people are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and the appliances include full fridge and stove. However if you need to do ANYTHING online good luck. Even while connected to wifi pages barely load including your own homepage. Streaming?? Laughable.

Very disappointed. The room was disgusting, out dated, filthy refrigerator and stove. No smoke detector and very poor wiring. Carpet on the floor was filthy and felt damp, we had to wear shoes all the time. The shower leaked all over the floor. I could go on and on

Nice, clean motel. Quiet and safe. The pool was closed. There is a gas grill available with outside sitting area if you want to cook out. The queen bed we had was comfortable with plenty of pillows. Lots of hot water. This motel maintains some feature's of it's bygone years, which is charming. Our room had a kitchenette with stove, oven, frig., Microwave and coffee maker. Flat screen tv. Not brand new, but clean. Nice place.

Spending a week in Maine at a family reunion was a lot of fun but we got a late start on our plans and reservations. Maine is a wonderful place to visit any time of the year but, as you can imagine, summer time is particularly fun. Most VRBO type cottages/cabins are booked months and months in advance. Other family members have stayed here at the Cobbossee Motel but they had some reservations about us staying there due to a change in ownership. I'm here to write that you can put any fears to rest. The young couple that have purchased the motel are very nice. This is a motel that gives you the basics to stay comfortable for your visit. Everything worked in the room including the A/C, stove, microwave and Fridge. The pool is clean, the gas grill was brand new, and the place is centrally located a lot of activities, stores and sites. We bought some burgers and dogs and had a cookout by the pool. We did Coffee, eggs and toast in the room in the morning since they had all of the pots/pans, etc. If you are a couple traveling through or would just like to get away for a week in Maine this is a very economical choice for you. I'd stay here again with no hesitation. Oh! One last thing, make sure you have some cheese-its or crackers to feed the chickens!!

This motel is kept very clean and the new owners are currently doing renovations to modernize the rooms and lobby. The area is very quiet and clean as well. The wifi worked fine and the ac works great as well!

Very Comfortable, Clean, friendly, well maintained, safe area, and great value. The AC worked. The WIFI worked. The hot water worked. The door locks worked. The lights worked. The cable tv worked. The pool was open and clean. Picnic tables with umbrellas and chairs were all setup for use near the pool area. Also 2 clean gas grills were set up for use. This is a well run mom & pop Motel. This isn't a Luxury hotel chain so don't expect up to date Luxury Hotel type amenities. I'd stay here again.

Was looking for a reasonable priced place to stay in the Winthrop, Augusta area and this older motel fits the bill. In between Augusta and Winthrop right on Route #202 it's convent to everything. Though it's a little out dated the rooms are clean and have kitchenettes and are kind of a motor court appeal to them. Within walking distance to Lake Cobbosee Conte and it even has a pool. And at one of the lowest rates around it's definitely worth a second look!
