We rented a two bedroom suite on the first floor. Very spacious. Extremely clean. Has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owners are very nice and helpful. The well-manicured grounds are lovely with many trees and flowers. Dock access to the lake. You can't go wrong staying here!

We stayed for 2 nights so that we could explore the region. The Inn (motel really) was clean and the folks running it were very helpful. Our room was a bit dated (brown vinyl bathroom floor, VERY loud fan/light combo in the bathroom and squeaky door, toilet that was not efficient) but comfortable enough. The grounds are lovely and the location near the lake is awesome. There are many excellent hikes in the area - we went up Tumbledown one day (get there early on a sunny weekend day) and nearby Bald Mountain the next, after kayaking in Wilson Lake. We brought our own breakfast and lunch items (little fridges in each room) and ate outside dinner at Salt & Pepper (decent but not great) and at the Farm House Beer Garden in Farmington (pizza was OK but very fun atmosphere). Ambition brew pub in Wilton was a fun stop too. We really loved this area of our beautiful state and would happily stay at the WLI again (perhaps in a different room though).

The innkeepers couldn't be more helpful from the reservations to the amenities, directions and more. This is my second stay here and the grounds and owners made it very special. To sit on the dock and drink coffee by the lake was a wonderful way to start the day!

This was the last night stay on a solo seven-day road trip. The Inn is a gem with beautiful grounds and several inviting seating/eating/BBQ areas. My room (above laundry in a smaller building separate from the main Inn) was cozy and comfy. At bottom of grounds is a small dock plus a plethora of water craft to play or explore beyond the Inn's grounds. Open water distance swimming is my thing so after several hot days of constant driving, I was eager to plunge into the lake. It's warm, clear waters did not disappoint and I thoroughly enjoyed a most relaxing swim. Town of Wilton - a 20 minute walk - has several eating/take-out options (I can recommend the Italian restaurant), plus a public swim park. Back at the Inn, the call of loons arose as I fell asleep. I should mention that families seemed to be greatly enjoying the housekeeping suites. Highly recommend Wilson Lake Inn - many thanks to Tom and Susan who were so personable and eager to make me welcome!
