Affordable Resort Motel in Wells Maine with great location near Wells Beach, Ogunquit and Kennebunkport. The resort features an indoor pool, hot tub, sun deck and bbq area. Free WiFi, in-room coffee, local calling, use of pool, hot tub and pool towels. All rooms have a kitchenette which includes a small refrigerator, microwave, toaster and coffee pot with free coffee. Full baths, climate control, CCTV with DVD, and hair dryers. The majority of our rooms offer a queen size bed and sleep sofa. We also feature two one-bedroom suites with a separate bedroom and small kitchen, dining and living area.

Very good location between Kennebunkport and Ogunquit. Only 45 minutes from Portland where you catch a very cheap ferry to many islands. Room/resort is much nicer than expected from the description. We will return next year.

The resort has a wonderful staff which adds to the great Maine location. The resort has an indoor pool, fitness center and laundry facilities. It is also pet friendly so we brought our pet. They gave us great recommendations for restaurants.

2 Based on rudeness and attitude that customer is out to get them. Pull out sofa beds are terrible and not a viable bed for anyone over 6. Sofa bed hard to close and head maintenance guy not a people person- rude and aggressive when asked by coworker for help with closing sofa bed. Sofa Beds musty and have bar in middle of back. I have been coming for years and have loved this spot. The pandemic has left them scarred from rude customers and there is a vibe that customers are not first- you are greeted with a sign you will be charged $1000.00 for breaking animal rules and we were charged for lost keys 10 minutes after leaving before staff made sure the keys were returned. Charges were reversed but the vibe that the Seabreeze is not taking it sucks for return customers who have loved this spot.…

Hi LightPacker817057, My sincere apologies that your recent visit was not a happy one. Management will look into the sofa bed and staff issues. We are in fact in the process of training some new people and we will re-state procedure for missing keys. As for the $1,000 signage, our apologies if this offends you. Despite efforts to educate our guests that we have a limited number of pet friendly rooms, people arrive with pets without having reserved a pet friendly room. We do not want pets in rooms that are not pet friendly as some guests have allergies & or asthma that can be triggered.

This is not a resort. We mistakenly booked this "unit" for a working vacation. It would have been difficult for one of us to work in that room, let alone two of us. This was the most expensive one night vacation we've ever taken, there was no way we could have stayed for a week. "Resort" is short staffed so even though this is a motel, no room service was provided. This would be fine for a cheap place to sleep if you are going to be out and about all day, every day. But not great for hanging out, working, playing games, etc.

Hi Cythomas000, Very sorry to hear that Sea Mist did not meet your needs. In addition to the confirmation mailed to each RCI exchange guest detailing what to expect upon arriving at Sea Mist (we take this extra step because we know Sea Mist is not a typical RCI exchange ...but not unusual for New England either), we also try to create an accurate overview of what our guests can expect on our website. I believe the descriptions and photos offer a fairly accurate description. The size of Sea Mist rooms was dictated by the town of Wells during plan approval and something that cannot be easily changed. We cannot make people review any of this information. We strive to offer clean and economy lodging with value added amenities. Sea Mist's nightly rate at this time of year is $89-$114 with discounts available for longer stays. The local Hampton Inn...which probably would have offered amenities closer to your needs, rates range $157-272 per night for same time period. At Sea Mist we love constructive criticism as it helps us become better. We feel this review is unjust as it is not our hard-working crew's fault that reviewer failed to do their research.

Unit was too small for a week there. Small refrigerator, no freezer. No dishwasher and sink too small to accommodate the dinner plates. One bathroom. Daily charge for service dog. Did not appear the floor was clean. The maintenance staff was very accommodating with essentials, towels and other, but not stay here again.

We stayed at Sea Mist for the first time the first week of October. We travel with our two Collies and this is by far the best dog-friendly accommodations we have found in Wells. The room we stayed in appeared to have been recently renovated. It included a queen bed, sofa with roll-away bed, Mini-Fridge, Microwave, Toaster & full-sized coffee maker and dishes. Upon arrival the room was clean and tidy. There was a hair dryer in the bathroom. There was no iron /ironing board -these would be welcomed additions. The room was quiet and well insulated- with no noticeable noise from adjoining rooms. There was no hum from the mini fridge or air conditioner and in my opinion the bed was comfortable. There is a small penned in "Pet Relief " area in the back of the motel complete with clean -up bags. The Sea Mist property also includes a small inside pool and jacuzzi , a guest laundry room, a playground, picnic area complete with grills. There is abundant restaurants, shopping, and attractions nearby including the Rachel Carson National Wildlife Refuge, and the Atlantic Ocean. Even more close by in neighboring Ogunquit, York, and Kennebunkport. It should be noted that at the time of this writing there is no daily housekeeping provided due to "limited staff and Covid". If you want your towel/linens changed, you leave them in a plastic laundry bag on a chair outside the room and they exchange for clean replacements. This didn't bother us and actually preferred this set up. We look forward to returning the Wells next fall and plan to book our stay at the Sea Mist based on our pleasant experience last week!…

We just returned from Sea Mist having checked out early. The reason we left, we could not stand the small, dark room with an uncomfortable bed another night. ..we gave it three stars instead of more because of the room. We agree with other reviews the resort is kept clean, it has a nice small indoor pool, the people are pleasant, and the resort has a lovely green area with chairs, picnic tables for you to enjoy. This is the only place to sit unless you want to sit in an old, very dark room. They desperately need to upgrade furniture, paint and brighten the motel. If this was done they would be competitive ...although small it would be lovely. Location is good but you must have a car to get anywhere. Drive to beach, drive for coffee, drive to shop . Near Ogonquit cute town. …

Wells is a nice residential town. The resort is well maintained with a nice swimming pool and Jacuzzi. The studio unit is small but clean and adequate, The Beach is within walking distance and free Beach parking is possible during off-peak hours.

My wife and i traveled to Wells for the first time and feel the Sea Mist was an excellent choice. Although we arrived early, the staff was very accomodating and got us in. We were a bit concerned about our studio room based on some reviews but those concerns were unfounded. The room was a good size (we've certainly been in smaller), had a nice sitting area and a comfy queen size bed. It was very clean and looked like it had updated in the past year or so. There was counter space to fix a simple breakfast and lunch. We have been to many New England seaside time shares and every one was a converted motel. Some were very nice, like the Sea Mist, and some not so much. It's just the way it is. There are charcoal grills, picnic tables and a newer looking playground. The resort has a great location close to beaches, restaurants, stores and other seaside towns. We enjoyed our time at Sea Mist and hope to return someday.…

Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. The bed was great and the TV was an adequate size. We got groceries at the close by Hannaford store and had breakfasts and lunches using the microwave. The staff was wonderful. We really appreciated the large parking spot spaces. WiFI was spotty and slow. I used data most of the time. All other residents were older (70+) but that might mean because of the time we where there. Restaurants were great. Billy's Chowder House, Hobbs Harborhouse, and Mike's Clam Shack were all wonderful. Out of 3 lobster dinners, Mike's clam shack was my favorite. Wells Beach is only a mile drive away. It was lovely and not crowded at 9:00 am on 6/15/22.
