What a lovely surprise. We had the inn to ourselves the night we stayed. Our room was quite large, as was the bathroom. The room, and the dining area and kitchen, were spotless (obviously a major consideration in these COVID times). And really reasonably (inexpensively) priced. You won't get a big BnB breakfast, but you can have yogurt, juice, coffee and breakfast bars. It was enough for us. While Waterville isn't a big tourist draw, we enjoyed walking by the river and reading the signs describing the history of the town, its industrialization & then the closing of the factories. There are also a bunch of hiking trails close to town and to Colby College. If you're in Waterville, this is an excellent place to stay.

We booked three rooms for a family visit to Waterville this weekend and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spotless. The check in /check out procedure was simple. The self-serve breakfasts included many fine options including fresh fruit. (The coffee was excellent). Our family enjoyed quiet time in the property's cozy communal front room. We had stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn many Christmases ago and the excellence experience was repeated.

I stayed here three times while at a conference in Lewiston and my daughter was a study at Colby. I had the least expensive room each time (queen w/shared bath).
Well worth the time driving back and forth. Cozy and comfortable accommodations, quiet, lots of space to work down in the common areas, even room to play a game with my daughter and friends and cook our own food if desired. Amazing breakfast always ready in time for me to serve myself (EARLY!) before driving down to Lewiston - made me feel like I mattered. I only met Billy face to face once during my various stays but he was easy to work with when I needed receipts a certain way for reimbursement and my breakfast available by 6am each day. Well run, very clean, easy parking, great location, can't think of any way to improve it. Given my recent experience w/poor accommodations in the Lewiston area, I may well do the extra driving again in the future just to stay here again. It's a destination worth returning to! [Please note I stayed here in October 2017, 2018, and 2019 - and Billy gladly cancelled my reservation 2x in Oct 2020 and 2021 b/c of covid changing my conference schedule]

This place is so charming and clean. Lots of choices and reasonable prices. A continental breakfast is provided and you can use the kitchen to make your own lunch and supper if you want. The dining room and sun room are great places to sit and chat. All of the rooms have air conditioning. We will be back!!

I didn't realize this was another self-serve b&b. All sorts of breakfast items and dishes and glasses available but I had to make my own meal. It was my fault for not reading the fine print. However, the owner did not make his presence known and never answered his phone. Also in my room, the bathroom door could not be completely opened; it hit the end of the bed. And both bedside table lamps would not light up. They were finally fixed the next day. Nice place but not warm and homey.

We stopped at this Inn on our way back home after a long day of traveling. We were delighted to find that it was exceptionally clean and welcoming. Everything we needed for a great nights sleep. If a clean and comfortable room is your priority, I highly recommend this Inn.

This place was beyong immaculate ! You truly could have eaten off the floors - it all was so squeaky clean ! And fresh and crisp decor too throughout !
We stayed here for an overnight when we came to visit the art museum at Colby. Previous reviews had mentioned the "phantom" hosts so we didn't didn't know what to expect. But truth be told it all worked out fine with the key being left for us and the breakfast being set up and waiting for us in the morning . Only when we were leaving did we meet Tammy the House manager who was very friendly.
The location is an easy 5 minute walk into the heart of downtown Waterville to restuarants and stores.
All in all this is a great place to stay and we would highly recommend it as an alterntaive to the generic chain hotels .

The accommodations at the Pleasant Street Inn were perfect for us. The room was large and inviting and the bathroom gave us plenty of room for our toiletries. This B&B has a self serve breakfast, which was great for us because we were up early each day and could get breakfast at our own pace. There were bagels, muffins, toast, etc., cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, great coffee, and tea to choose from to start your day. This B&B also has a full kitchen for guests to use if you would prefer to make your own dinner there, which is a great option to have for your convenience. The owners were pleasant and helpful, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We last stayed here 8 years ago because of limited options in Waterville, and didn’t hesitate to come back. We got a clean room, nice bathroom, good breakfast, nice sitting area with a TV. Near downtown and Colby College, and a good $100 less than our next best choice in Waterville.

I personally have not stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn but have booked accommodations for several who have visited our campus. Everyone has said how friendly and accommodating Billy is. I highly recommend the Pleasant Street Inn if you are visiting the Waterville area.
