This place is so charming and clean. Lots of choices and reasonable prices. A continental breakfast is provided and you can use the kitchen to make your own lunch and supper if you want. The dining room and sun room are great places to sit and chat. All of the rooms have air conditioning. We will be back!!
What a lovely surprise. We had the inn to ourselves the night we stayed. Our room was quite large, as was the bathroom. The room, and the dining area and kitchen, were spotless (obviously a major consideration in these COVID times). And really reasonably (inexpensively) priced. You won't get a big BnB breakfast, but you can have yogurt, juice, coffee and breakfast bars. It was enough for us. While Waterville isn't a big tourist draw, we enjoyed walking by the river and reading the signs describing the history of the town, its industrialization & then the closing of the factories. There are also a bunch of hiking trails close to town and to Colby College. If you're in Waterville, this is an excellent place to stay.
We booked three rooms for a family visit to Waterville this weekend and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were spotless. The check in /check out procedure was simple. The self-serve breakfasts included many fine options including fresh fruit. (The coffee was excellent). Our family enjoyed quiet time in the property's cozy communal front room. We had stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn many Christmases ago and the excellence experience was repeated.
This is such a nice clean and inviting place to stay. I was very comfortable. I stayed in the queen room with the shared bathroom which was directly across the hall. It’s a great place to lay your head.
We last stayed here 8 years ago because of limited options in Waterville, and didn’t hesitate to come back. We got a clean room, nice bathroom, good breakfast, nice sitting area with a TV. Near downtown and Colby College, and a good $100 less than our next best choice in Waterville.
I personally have not stayed at the Pleasant Street Inn but have booked accommodations for several who have visited our campus. Everyone has said how friendly and accommodating Billy is. I highly recommend the Pleasant Street Inn if you are visiting the Waterville area.
I arrived late, but my key was waiting for me. I had a small room, but it was big enough for me. The furnishings were lovely. There is a sitting area on an enclosed porch and two dining areas and a kitchen to use. This is close enough to walk to downtown if you really want. Breakfast was self serve but easy and good.
Immaculately clean, cozy, a bit of a squeeze in the room but okay, a nice sitting room near the front door, two dining areas, and a very good continental breakfast. They mention on their website that they offer fresh fruit during breakfast, and I figured maybe they would put out some apples and oranges. Nope, fresh blueberries and fresh cut strawberries, along with yogurt and a very good selection of good quality Breads and muffins. We'd come here again for sure.
We stayed at the Inn for a function at Colby College. Our room was at the top of the stairs facing the garden (right side of hallway) Room was a bit on the small size but pretty typical for this type of lodging. We had the queen/private bathroom unit. Hotel is clean and very quiet and close to restaurants and bars in downtown Waterville. We had no face to face contact with owner, but was not necessary. Breakfast is preordered and ready when you want it....that was nice. If you are a Colby College parent....stay here and not one of the hotels by the freeway.
We've stayed at the Pleasant St Inn several times while attending the Maine International Film Festival. It is without doubt one of our favourite B&Bs anywhere in the world. Comfortable beds, quiet, all the breakfast you can eat, and the building is immaculately kept and convenient for the film festival. Long may it continue!
