Awesome owners! My husband and I recently stayed here again, rooms very clean, can drive right up to room with your shopping parcels. Andy the owner is super accommodating , Canadian Money at par, usually flyers in the lobby, hot coffee every morning. I have been coming here twice a year for about 8 years but girlfriend of mine have... More

Hotel is a Mom and Pop establishment. Very clean and extremely quiet. Proprietors are very friendly. The hotel is close to shopping, but in a quiet location. On the down side, the motel is not new and is a bit run down. That said, we keep coming back and as we are from Canada, they take money at par, which... More

Looking through postcards of the beautiful state of Maine, you may see depictions of nature, cozy cabins, and beautiful greenery. The Stucco Lodge, I feel, should be another representation of what it means to be in Maine. In a world covered with new generation leisure hotels that fulfill each of our laziest desires, we miss out on the beautiful hotels/motels... More

I have been familiar with the Stucco Lodge since the late 60's and early 70"s. Mother use to be a housekeeper there then. Many years later in 2015, my youngest daughter transfers to the University of Maine at Orono. I need a reasonable place to stay. I call the motel and talk to Andy the owner. I have never been... My dad recommended this place to us since he stays here when he visits my younger sister at the University of Maine at Orino, which was part of the reason for our trip. Our room lacked three major things that even old and outdated hotels have: a hair dryer, a coffee maker and an alarm clock. If I had known the... More

We attempted to stay on July 14, 2015, and they would not allow us to stay because my husband has a service dog. He tried to explain that they could not discriminate and refuse accomodation because of his dog. They refused to listen, or check the rules. They became quite belligerent. Don't support this motel.

I love staying here. The prices are great, it's family owned, the owners are so friendly. The rooms are clean and large. It's 5 minutes from the Bangor Mall. It's nice and quiet. I love that they take Canadian at par. There is no other place I stay when I'm in Bangor.
