Perfect location with easy check in and clean rooms, pet friendly also, we had an upstairs room in the back building and it had plenty of space for two of us and our dog. There is a bakery and a lobster restaurant within walking distance
Adore little cottages right by the bridge onto Mt. Desert Island. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Everything in the cottage was clean and in good working condition. They had a nice hot tub, grill area, and lawn games available. Room was cozy but perfect size for two people, especially if you plan to spend most of your time in the park. Thanks for a great stay!
Perfect place to unwind and just enjoy peace and quiet,, Very clean and cozy and I felt safe. Good location from everything. I would go back next summer. Check in and out was fast.. I would recommend this location
I cannot recommend the Open Hearth Inn enough. When they say "Ohana," they truly mean it. We stayed here for 3 nights when we were visiting Acadia, and 2 of the nights we actually ate dinner and hung out with the people who worked at the cottage. They went out of their way to make sure we had everything we "needed," from a glass of wine in the hot tub to a ride over to the nearby lake to go kayaking! They cottages are quaint, so don't expect a massive bathroom or anything above and beyond, but they are well-kept and have such a charm about them. The inn also had hot coffee and oatmeal every morning which was the perfect way to start our mornings before we hit the trails. It's about a 15 min drive into the park, but looking back I am SO glad we stayed a little further out to escape the crowds of Bar Harbor. I highly recommend this property, and I can't wait to stay at their other sister properties in the future.…
We had a great stay in Lodge B. It was easy to check-in, check-out, place was nice (clean, cute, cozy, fridge, hot water and great water pressure for a nice shower post hiking). It wasn't far from Arcadia and worth the cheaper rate as most of the other resorts aren't right downtown Bar Harbor anyway and cost sometimes double the price. We didn't get to play cornhole or volleyball, but we wanted to and liked that the inn had a good space for family or people winding down after a day exploring the mountains.
