Staff was friendly and helpful. We had 2 different kinds of rooms during our weeklong stay. The kitchenette in our rear-facing room was great - we are some meals at the table for 4 in the kitchen, and some meals outside at the picnic tables. There’s a lovely amount of space around for you to use - fire pit, other outdoor seating, picnic tables, basketball hoops, a play set, pool, yard for playing in. Yes, there’s an airport behind it, but I enjoyed watching the small planes take off and land. Noise wasn’t bothersome at all, and we had our windows open most of the time (which was a lovely option to have at a motel). Frig was small, but freezer was helpful! Kitchen was well-equipped for 4. Even had dish soap and dish towels. We needed to move to another room for the last night (they made us aware of that when I made the reservation) and they made it as easy as possible. Even moved our stuff to the new room for us while we were out. This room was on the front, so a little more traffic noise but not bad with the AC on. Would definitely recommend to anyone who doesn’t require a mint on their pillow!!

This is a very affordable motel, only 10 mins drive to downtown Bar Harbor, & 20 mins to most of Acadia Park. While not fancy, it is very clean with spacious rooms, staff is very helpful. Amenities include a pool, firepit with ample firewood and chairs around it, a spacious backyard for kids to play with swings and a basic basketball hoop. I had inadvertently left my jacket in the room after checkout, called 2 days later and they sent it to our home address. Thank You !

Clean, spacious, well-appointed rooms (frig/microwave/keurig with cups), four wonderfully fluffy pillows on each bed, and a nice pool for cooling down...everything we could ask for at a price we could afford. Very nice folks. Go ahead and book it! :)

Beautiful property. Immaculately clean. Welcoming. Amazing customer service. Beautiful grounds where you can be serenaded by red winged blackbirds over morning coffee. Wonderful staff and owners. I was happy that Norma accommodated my special request for an upstairs end room. Very welcoming atmosphere with lots of green space with a playground for kids, patio area and fire pit. Wood chipped trails throughout to take a morning stroll, great if you have a dog.

This place is an amazing family owned motel. I've traveled across the country many times and I have never come across such a great motel for this price range. Beautiful view and yard with camp fire area added an amazing touch. Will definitely come back again and highly recommend

This is an old style 2 story motel, with the parking lot right on the main road. I am giving 5 stars because it was incredibly clean, with a very large room, and had friendly helpful staff. We were very happy with the value for this budget priced place. Our room had a mini-kitchenette. We used the frig w freezer, microwave, sink and counter, and Keurig coffee maker for our breakfasts. There was a comfortable seating area in front of a large window with a table and 2 chairs. There were nearby markets to buy food. The bathroom was very clean and well maintained. There is a firepit in the back wooded area with a supply of wood. I saw people using this. There is a large yard with cooking grill, picnic table, and lots of area for kids to play. The small pool was closed in Sept. The backside of the motel definitely has the better view. But we were on the front side and it was just fine. The traffic can be heard indoors but it is not disruptively loud. We slept just fine. We also were happy that Thompson Island was just a few miles away and went stargazing there. It has a great sunrise view! We ate either 15-20 min south near the park borders and harbors, or north in the town. This location is well placed to visit any area because we noticed that other cars were stuck in long traffic lines, while we were coming from a different direction and missed those waits! We would definitely stay here again.

This motel is located close to the airport, as well as less than 30 minutes for Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor! It is a perfect hotel for anyone who is looking to spend their time adventuring through the surrounding area, and want to come back to their room with ease and comfort. It is budget friendly, and yet in such a great location! They also have wifi and a pool if you are traveling in the warmer months! We traveled here to capture an elopement (we are a photographer and videographer couple), so we really just needed the room to store our gear and sleep in and it couldn't have been more perfect!

Very nice motel. We took a room with the kitchen and it was very helpful for our needs. There is a grocery store very close (we walked to it). The owner Katherine is very nice and helpful. She gave us some invaluable tips to visit places in the area which made our trip very memorable. Acadia park is really beautiful and we will like to visit it again at some point and I will love to stay here again.
