Needed a place to sleep on a Saturday night, short notice with my 3 children the night before skiing at Sugarloaf. The motel had one room free with a queen and twin bed- they brought in a cot to help us fit. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable, good service. Tight quarters with 4 of us- but my kids thought that... Our second visit to Sugarloaf and our second stay at the Mountain View. Had a different room this time, #7, which was on the first floor and really convenient with our dogs. The room was very nice, cozy and clean. A counter sized frig, microwave and coffee maker was everything we needed. Lots of room for two dog crates and... More

I was up in the area for work and this place was affordable so I booked it. Super quaint with really friendly owners. I thought I had reviewed this earlier, but never got the chance. I blew my knee out skiing and while I was laid up the owner would bring me ice and call me before trips to the... More

We stayed at the motel for a couple of nights while skiing at Sugarloaf. We had Room 1, on the 2nd floor. It was very clean, quiet and warm! It was nice to have a kitchenette. There was a packet of Carrabassett Coffee for the coffee maker (my husband loves their coffee) . The room was very comfortable and it... More

Looked for a place to stay a few days over Christmas near Sugarloaf. The rooms looked cozy online and the owners were friendly so we booked the room. It was perfect for my husband, me and our two dogs. The full kitchen was a plus and we were able to enjoy the holiday, skiing and our pups! The only draw... More

Thank you for taking time to rate our motel... the note above the heater says "This heater becomes very HOT, it will burn anything that is lying directly on it or against the front of it. Something burning on it could cause a fire". These heaters are very efficient and heat the rooms so well (even in a power outage).... More

We have stayed here several times since our family moved into the area. The rooms are always clean and Cindy always remembers us and our preferences from one visit to the next. She and Mark know the area and always point us in the right direction. They are warm and friendly which always makes our stay like a home away... More

We booked a night at the motel because our party of three was going on a hike in the Bigelow Preserve in the Stratton area. We said we would get there around 10-11 PM and they said they would leave a key for us in the event that they were gone. As we came in, they were still there and... More

We stayed at the Mountain View Motel for one night during our recent trip throughout Maine. Our GPS took us on a "short cut" which put us several hours behind schedule and we didn't arrive until almost 10 PM... The owners kindly waited up for us and were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on where to look... More

Great roadside motel convenient to Sugarloaf. Free wifi. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is that the rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear traffic and other guests. But, generally the place is very quiet. If you spend the day downhill and x-country skiing, you will be so tired that you won't hear a... More

Four friends and I decided to stay here instead of the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel to snowboard for four days. It's a lot less expensive and only ten minutes from the mountain. We booked a room fit for three with the plan to put an air mattress in the kitchen as it was the least expensive room. When I told the... More
