Migis Lodge was the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing few days. We stayed with friends in the Lake House and really liked it, along with the food, activities and everything else. We tried the kayaking and paddle-boarding and also enjoyed relaxing in the sun with a book. One little niggle was having to ask for things more than once... More

Greetings from Maine, and thank you for taking the time to write a review about your visit here. We are pleased you enjoyed Lake House, a renovated 1929 classic Maine lakeside cottage. It's a great spot to launch those SUPs and kayaks you tried out, or to relax with a book in one of the adirondack chairs out front. We... More

Recommended by a college friend who had brought her family to Migis Lodge, this wooded retreat on Sebago Lake is everything she and other past guests have described: tranquil, clean water (source of drinking water for Portland), hospitable to families with all ages (Zoo Camp for younger children is incredible), gourmet meals, fantastic sunsets, not buggy, great cabins with cool... Thank you so much for taking the time to review Migis Lodge. (And thanks to your college friend for sending you our way.) We especially like your descriptive word "tranquil". An underused adjective! We will pass your comments along to our staff, particularly those involved in Zoo and Kid Camp, and hope to welcome you again to our 'pine forest... More

Growing up, vacationing in Maine every summer was the highlight of my life and I finally had the opportunity to visit with my husband. This was my first time at Sebao Lake and we stayed at Migis Lodge which our friends had reserved for their wedding weekend. The cabins were so cute and rustic, it felt like we had walked... More

This was my first trip to Maine, and what a lovely introduction to a beautiful state. Migis Lodge opens for weddings before their busy summer season as a family retreat/resort, and the entire property was ours for the weekend: beautiful cabins, three meals a day, plenty of outdoor activities all in a picturesque setting on Lake Sebago. The young staff... More

I live near Migis Lodge resort and have attended dinners at the resort but recently, I had repairs on my home that required me to stay elsewhere. Although they were in the process of closing for the season, they helped me out. Full kitchen, beautiful bedrooms, fully stocked fireplace that was good to go. Know that this is the place... More

Dear "Nomad"! Thank you so much for your generous comments. It's especially gratifying to have someone from right in the neighborhood spend some time with us in our own beautiful corner of the Lakes Region. Hope you return when we are in full swing next season, and also we hope you found your glasses right on top of your head! More

I needed a place to escape from life's stresses and city noise and somehow I found Migis on the web. What a treat! I went alone for 5 nights and could not have asked for a better place to "steal away and rest". The staff is extraordinary - they get things done so well but you don't even know they... More

I've been to Migis many times as a youth but this was the first time I'd been there in the fall and with our whole family. We stayed in a beautiful 4 bedroom cabin which was comfortable and spacious. Tucked behind the magnificent pine trees we could see the beautiful lake through the trees. Migis has stayed true to their... More

We did not stay at Migis Lodge, it looks like an amazing place to stay. We made a dinner reservation & had a very good experience. Scott was A+ host & we sat on the porch with wine & cheese/crackers watching the sunset over the mountains across the lake. Service was excellent, the lodge was built in 1916, had a... More

Who am I? I was a full paying guest a Tyler Place for 3 visits and a full paying guest at Migis Lodge for 1 visit. I am 47 years old with 3 active, outdoorsy boys ages 8, 11 and 16 and a 49 year old, athletic husband. We had "aged out" of Tyler Place's kids program for my 16... More

Thank you for your thoughtful and honest comparison of Migis Lodge and Tyler Place. We are pleased you enjoyed both full American plan resorts and that it remains a desirable experience; what was once a vacation model that proliferated in the Northeast is now less common. To pull in, park the car and stay put for a number of days... More

This was our first time to visit Migis Lodge, and I heard about it through a National Geographic Traveler article about best traditional summer lodges. We visited with my parents, my sister and her spouse, my husband, and our three kids (ages 7, 5, and 2). We have diverse interests, and this is the first time that one vacation spot... More
