Situated directly on Sebago Lake, this place has it all. The food is epicurean. The American Plan (all inclusive with meals) offers a five-course dinner nightly with daily lobster. Entertainment is nostalgic and fun...think songfests, craft classes, Bingo, disk golf, lectures

Well, well...it's almost difficult to respond! Thank you so much for visiting Migis Lodge, and for taking the time and care to leave such a wonderful review. Early fall weather certainly is delightful, and gives us that opportunity to scout out and invite activities and interesting visitors for our Autumn Adventure series. Summer, as you may know, has a different flavor with abundant chances for waterskiing and other water recreation all day long, and the multiple children’s camp offerings so parents may get a chance to ‘steal away to rest’! We hope you get to experience that time of year also at some point. And thank you for noting housekeeping and our cabin stewards’ hard work, as well as the abundant and ‘epicurean’ food choices for all meals. Now I believe I’ll run along and share this with our ‘charming, friendly and professional’ staff. We can’t wait for you to return!

Thank you so much, JGMac, for your kind comments! It was a pleasure to observe this dazzling wedding and all the thoughtful activities and details that the families included in the weekend full of festivities. The great care and affection for their friends and extended families was apparent in their planning of the meals, recreational activities and of course the lovely lakeside ceremony. We will pass along your comments to our hard working staff and we look forward to helping you plan a future visit to Migis Lodge. Thanks for coming!

Sebago Lake holds a special spot in my heart so my review is automatically bias. Migis Lodge is the gem of Sebago Lake, relaxed classical perfection that is magic. If you are not a resort guest call well in advance to book your dinner reservations. Friday is an outdoor lobste

Thank you, Jonathan! What we like is that it does offer that wide camp-like panoply of activities....and the adult part is the freedom to read and sleep away the afternoon if that is your particular calling. We'll pass along your compliments to kitchen staff whose aim is to assure the food is delicious, all day long. We hope to see you again.

We took our first family vacation to Migis Lodge (definitely not our last!), and loved every minute of it! The staff is amazing, the location is beautiful and the food was superb! Our children (5&7) loved the kids camp and eating with their new friends in the evening! My husband

Thank you so much for taking the time for this review, and even more so for your gracious and appreciative comments. We will especially let our child care team know you singled them out for praise, and that your children enjoyed their time and activities with them. The kitchen too; superb is a word they love to hear about their food, and we are pleased the wait staff served it with the care it deserves. We do hope you visit us again so that front desk staff gets a chance to be welcoming all over again. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Do you have wheelchair accessibility?
Thank you for your inquiry. We are a 100 year old (101, come to think of it) property built on 125 acres of pine forested lakefront. Two of our 35 cottages have level entry, ADA compliant doors and baths and are convenient to the main lodge. We also have an elevator accessible compliant room with equally suitable bath in our main lodge. Our recently renovated main lodge and dining room has two points of level entry, and parking can be arranged close to a ramp. All that being said, there would be limitations with a chair reaching far corners of our sometimes hilly property, but we also are happy to arrange for a golf cart to be at your disposal. Please give us a call if you'd like some photos to further clarify what we offer.

Are there laundry facilities on the property?
Please excuse our delayed response! Yes, we are happy to take care of your laundry during your stay, and as the reviewer said, the front desk staff will make it happen and get it to our capable laundry department.

We are staying later in August. Can you recommend a couple nice lakeside beach for family?
The swimming at the lodge is wonderful. They have a nice size beach and several swimming areas. The state park down the road is also very nice, but crowded.

Hi...I am looking for a place for one or two nights for me...and my two children..8 and 12...can you tell me what the least expensive option would be for the three of us. Is it the room rate times three? That seems not affordable... but maybe I'm reading the information incorrectly...can you help? Thanks!
Sure, and thank you for asking. The rates are per person, per night, and include all meals and all activities, including optional afternoon camps for children and many adult offerings. Rates are moderated some for young children once the minimum rate for accommodations is met.....we do have some short openings (most stays are five to seven days) available now and then through the summer if you are interested in a lakeside destination. Your questions are most easily answered with a phone call to 207-655-4524; we hope to hear from you and see if your desired dates match an opening!

What is the weather like the second week of August? Is it warm enough to swim in the lake?
Yes, indeed! The lake is perfect for swimming throughout the summer, but especially in August when it is probably the warmest. The August weather in Maine can vary - from dry and lovely, to hot and humid, to rainy. I went to summer camp on Sebgao Lake for many years, and we had to go in the water in June!
