Very charming place to lay your head. Rooms are cozy, cabins down back very cute. Grounds and rooms well maintained. Very old and rustic. Owners are a pleasure. Room rates vary so check. I can tell you foliage season are the higher rates.

We booked this room last minute and I'm glad we did! The pool was clean, we could walk to the river and the motel is located close to shopping and dining. Pat at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

Sometimes being in the past is fine, but there is a limit when having to pay the high rate for a room that needs major upgrading. This place needs help big time and if not at least cut the price. There are many places that charge half of what was charged here and are in the same category and sometimes... More

Stayed one night on a bike trip through New England. This is an older style motel beside the main No. 2 highway. The pool was clean and cool and very welcome after a long hot day in the saddle. The room was old but clean and comfortable and the TV worked fine and the WIFI was speedy. The traffic quieted... More

The room was nice but this was the most expensive hotel we stayed in for the last 5 straight nights and we got the least for our money. No coffee, no breakfast, barely any hot water, no phone, no clock radio and the WiFi sucks.

Stayed one night and my buddy couldn't sleep because he had bugs crawling on him in the middle of the night. Owner blammed us and said that we brought them in. He assumed this as we were on motorcycles. Owner wouldn't reimburse us. Furthermore, the furniture and decor is from the early seventies. Way over priced dirty accomodations! Do not... More

We stayed at Kyes while visiting the Skowhegan fair. The owners are so nice and welcoming! They did a quick check in and indicated a nice restaurant for us to get lunch. When we got back later that night, they happily allowed us to use the pool (around 10:15pm) since it was so hot and humid all day. We were... More

The motel is a little dated, admittedly, but our room was comfortable and clean and well-located just a couple of minutes from the centre of Skowhegan. The owner was very friendly and made us feel at home, and the small coffee shop was a good and easy spot to have breakfast at a reasonable price. The free wifi worked well.... More

Wanted to like this vintage motel, however upon entering we encountered more than half a dozen moths flying around. The front door, originally jalousie windows, was boarded up with plywood. The carpet was filthy, which really creeped me out so much so that I was unable to even enjoy a cup of tea in the room. I thought I would... More

Dana and Pat are congenial hosts. They were so gracious and attentive to our family travel needs. They opened their little coffee shop just for us after we slept in and got much need rest after a long day of travel. Dana shared a card trick that had us all baffled and stumped. If you are looking for a personalized,... More
