We loved the Lodge… Val warmly welcomed us into her lovely home. We had a upper level room which was quite comfortable. She kindly made a reservation for us at a restaurant (Le Box) that was only steps away….Great food. After dinner we walked around town, admiring the architecture. Be sure to walk along the river. Val gave us a... More

I had an incredible stay at The Lodge last week while at Bramham Horse Trials. Val was fantastic and there for anything I needed. There was an excellent shop a very short walk away, and lots of delicious restaurants around too. Could not fault anything, and the location is perfect. Thank you!

Loved my recent stay here. Val and Phil are great hosts and make you feel so welcome. Breakfast was delicious and everything was fresh and homemade. The bedroom was very comfortable - high quality mattress and bedding. Attention to detail superb. Hugh spotless bathroom with quality toilettries - big bath and power shower. Excellent rooms in a beautifully furnished house. We were warmly greeted and shown to our very comfortable rooms. The palatial lounge was made available for our post dining drinks. Breakfast was wonderful with freshly prepared fruit, warm croissants and superb coffee. The only drawback is the lack of en suite facilities.

I quote from the website: "All rooms contain a modern flat screen T.V, tea / coffee making facilities, bathrobes and hairdryers. The bathrooms have recently been installed with power showers giving excellent pressure or you can take a bath instead if guests wish to do so." The implication of this is that each room has its own bathroom. This not... More

We stayed for 2 nights 15th & 16th July 2015 and were so welcomed. The rooms were very comfortable our party used the double and twin room. The stairs proved a little problem for my elderly aunt and mum but the climb was well worth it. Thank you Val and Philip for a wonderful stay and for looking after us... More
