the value is terrific- we paid the off season rate of $69+taxes for a small apartment, comfortable bed and a nice sitting area with a television and kitchenette. The Inn is above a restaurant and the main attraction is its location near the southern point of Mt Desert Island, just next to the southern entrance of the Acadia National Park.... More

Didn't want to fight the crowds in Bar Harbor for breakfast so we took the short drive to Seal Harbor and found this wonderful Inn/ Restaurant. Our waiter recommended the Lobster Benedicite. It was one of the best meals on our east coast trip. This is a beautiful old inn on the water. A nice out of the way place to... More

Started eating at the Lighthouse 30 yrs ago. Judith was the owner then and has retired and her daughter has taken it over. The food was still as good as my memory recalled. The seafood Newburg was excellent although the pastry may have been over done a tad. The potatoes were slightly overdone but flavorful. The vegetables were done perfectly.... More

We really enjoyed this quaint restaurant. It's away from all of the crowds and had a more laid back atmosphere. We enjoyed the lighthouse burger and the bacon cheeseburger. It felt like we were eating at home in Wisconsin!

Found this place coming out of Acadia one morning. Didn't want a crowded touristy place to eat and this was perfect! Good coffee in huge adorable mugs. Delicious omelette (I had the bacon, tomato and cheese) and thick slices of toast. Server was extremely sweet. Place is funky and outdated but very clean. Very reasonably priced. Good find!

We stopped here for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised that the chef came to discuss my menu selections, because she was so concerned about my food allergies. Care, compassion, thoughtfulness are some words that describe the dedicated staff. The food was fresh and delicious. The Inn is just a short scenic drive from Acadia National Park.

Very nice and affordable! I paid just 75 doll for a night, 10 min driving to the park , parking on the back of the hotel. Old building, I think it's about 100 years old. I didn't eat in a restaurant downstairs. Everything is basic and clean. Has microwave ( I didn't use), coffeemaker ( used once), small fridge (didn't... More

Food was good. Service was nice and they warned us they would be slow. We just didn't think they could be that slow. We ordered an appetizer and they were very slow so they actually comp it. We ordered kids grilled cheese (good), kids shrimp (fantastic, very fresh and amazing horseradish cocktail sauce), seafood chowder (tasty but a little light... More

Our party of four ordered four sandwiches, two haddock, one veggie, and one crabmeat. All come with potato chips. We had to wait to receive menus because the 8 top next to us had them all. (might be a good idea to print some more copies ...this is for lunch service!) After ordering we waited, waited, waited some more, kept... More
