Garbage was leftover, debris under the beds, in the "kitchenette", and the shower had the hair of the last occupants mingling with the soap scum. The owner was informed, and the response was she would speak with housekeeping. The heated pool was freezing, the hotels hot water was a joke and so was the noise level. The beds are rock solid and the room reeked of not only past people, but the nicotine residue was atrocious.

We recently stayed at Exit 5 Motel and Cottages in August. I'll try to make this short. the room was advertised as a kitchenette, it was not. The room was supposed to be smoke free, it reeked (there was a plug in in the room to help mask the smell). We had the corner room closest to the road, which meant we were next to the dumpster, someone missed the dumpster and trash was everywhere. The shower had not been cleaned, the faucet handle was broken and dangling over your head, and there was mold all over the curtain. The previous occupant's garbage was still under the sink and there was food under the bed left over from goodness only knows when. I'm talking a full order of wings from Domino's type food.... When I confronted the owner, he was not helpful at all and in the end he only refunded us $20. Yeah, I would not go back, ever...

We rented a cabin at Exit 5 Motel and Cottages to celebrate a Birthday The cabin was clean and had a stocked kitchen The grill and picnic table came in very handy The owners were polite and very helpful We needed extra parking spaces and they were provided in the visiting parking area We first thought we would need one extra but ended up needing two extra and they met our needs The price for our cabin was very reasonable for the area Especially for a Holiday weekend We were able to use Uber to get us down to the beach and it only cost $8.00 The only downfall was the internet service It was very slow but it was only a minor inconvenience The night was very quiet which was a little surprising because there were many motorcycles staying there We were happy and satisfied with our stay at Exit5 and will be staying again next year

We stayed at the Exit 5 Motel for two nights and it was a place for families and business trips. The owners are a Husband and wife team who aim to please. Previously we stayed at the Rodeway across the street from Exit 5 Motel and the cost was more than double! We feel the rooms were comparable!! The room at Exit 5 was clean and there was plenty of hot water for showers. A small fridge was more than ample and a coffee pot with coffee were at our disposal. The grounds were hands down better than what we had at the Rodeway and there were things for children to do. They have a no smoking within 25 feet of the units which is nice and fresh linen to boot. My wife and I like to get out and we spent out days visiting friends and going to Portland and Portland Headlight and Light House with a great view. We had breakfast at a new I-Hop only a few hundred feet around a corner from the Motel. There are several good dinning places just a few miles north on US 1! Anjoins is a restaurant about 4 miles north and the food is to die for. Everything from Italian food to the best seafood one could ever want. The service was also great and the whole belly clams were the best I have ever eaten. If you are traveling to Maine and looking to spend time on the shore or many beaches Exit 5 Motel is the place to stay.

We stayed at the Exit 5 Motel and Cottages the weekend of August 18th. The room we was in was clean, but that was about it. The pillows were cheap and not comfortable at all. There was an electrical issue in our room. The outlet near the coffee maker was partial pulled out of the wall and looked unsafe. I reported the issue to the manager, and he failed to fix it. The freezer portion of the mini fridge needs to be defrosted. There was so much ice built up that you couldn't close the door. The air conditioner needs to be replaced. It was very loud and made it impossible to sleep at night. It looks like they may have painted the bathroom walls at some point because they left painter's tape around base of the shower head. You'd think someone would have removed it. The steps to the indoor pool were very dirty and need to be cleaned. The game room is poorly designed. Once you open the door to enter the room from the outside there is a huge step up. Should post a sign warning people of the large step. We won't be returning to this motel again.
