We stayed in a king room which was relatively spacious and very clean. The room came with a regular 12 cup coffee maker with a gold filter so we could make ourselves a cup of real coffee in the morning. It also had a small fridge with plenty of space for our food. Plenty of pillows on the bed. Flat screen tv. Space for hanging clothes as well as a bureau for storage. Were able to park right outside our door. Would stay here again.
My husband and I went to Rockport, Maine for a get-a-way and to celebrate my birthday. We certainly love Irish music and Ireland, so how fortunate it was to find this lovely place to stay. It has a pool and access to walk their small private ocean beach. The beds were comfortable, the room, though medium size, had everything one needs for two overnights with plenty of towels, soaps, shampoo, etc... Since it is the Pandemic time, there was no Irish breakfast, alas, but they did give a snack bag. The location is close to Owl's Head with the Transportation Museum as well as the fun restaurants, and Lighthouse walk in Rockland. Camden with Schooner tours and more great eating places are literally up the street. It was really fun and restful to stay there! Alex, the innkeeper was full of great stories and the staff was quite pleasant.…
This little motel is a great place to stay. The rooms are clean, lots of towels, the grounds are so pretty. Best of all is the couple that run this place are super nice and they are Irish! There is access to a beach near by that is great for walking and swimming, the pool is clean and they have BBQ's to cook. I will be going back! It is centrally located to all the wonderful places to see, restaurants and shopping. I was so happy I chose to stay here!
Wow, where to begin! First of all, we always love to stay in locally owned hotels and this one did not disappoint. Alex and his wife Siobhan have owned the hotel for forever and are able to give the best recommendations for what to do see and eat in the area. Check in was quick, easy and filled with more than a few funny Irish anecdotes. The rooms were bright and clean, but honestly we spent little time in there because we were out at the beautiful pool, enjoying the private beach access, or dining at one of the many recommended restaurants. We truly cannot say enough good things about this place, we really did feel like family. Already planning our next trip back!
I have now stayed at the Claddagh Motel on three different occasions, and it is truly a place that keeps bringing me back. This place is very family friendly, quiet, and comfortable. Alex and Siobhan really do take care of everything you need, and make you feel right at home. I love the location in scenic mid-coast Maine, which is incredible during the summer. One of my favorite things about the Claddagh is the private beach area, and its proximity to the water. I cannot wait till I get the opportunity to return!
